Following a drawn out huff, the man pulled away from the door, ambling back to his seat where he sat again without caution. He rested both arms on his knees, faintly glowing eyes blinking down at the now empty opposing chair. Another sigh drew from him, this time shorter, quieter.

"The crimson words lay in shadow before her eyes.." reciting nonsense, "Tender words carved before me, a silent blade. Insults piercing as knives, heart faint and slow..." One of the guards curiously peered through the glass. What...? What was he doing? "I stood as her enemy under the light. Darkness were her drapes, waiting to strike. ...And yet..." A singular, glowing tear shed from the man's eye. "...she didn't."

.

Little light seeped through the thick bag. Your eyelids slid open at last, feeling your body dragged along like a sled. Your arms were tucked close to your chest, back pressed against another's back. Wait... Your eyes widened. That wasn't a dream?! Where were you?! Your legs started kicking, arms carelessly clawing at the slippery material of the bag. You must have kicked Herobrine awake, because he groaned harshly, kicking you back.

"Stop kicking, you Nitwit!" Who a- ...Wait, where the Nether are we?? Herobrine too noticed that he was being dragged along with you.

"I- I just remember seeing enderman eyes before I fell asleep last night!" The creature stopped. Abruptly, the top of the bag holding up both your upper torsos released the tightly closed bag. Both you and Herobrine made a short sound of pain when your heads tumbled into the ground.

"Why is he in the sleeping bag?" A voice rasped from beyond. The sunshine peeking through the bag before wasn't as strong as before. Strange.. The voice sounded so familiar...yet it was taking you a moment to pinpoint whose it might be.

Another voice, feminine, also familiar voice piped up, "There's a girl in there with him!"

"Wait, really?!" Again, another, deeper voice spoke. "Huh... Just thought he put on some weight.." Like you, Herobrine was listening intently, waiting for a good time to strike.

He growled. "I could just melt this bag right off.."

"Hey, I'm in here too!" You desperately whispered for him not to. He considered your words, deciding again to wait a little longer to strike.

The first voice spoke again. "Uhh, why not just let both of them out of the bag, then?"

The second voice squeaked. "W-w-well, what if n-neither of them have their clothes on?!"

That's when anger took over. "HEY, YOU B#######!!! I WOULD NEVER! LET ME OUT! I AM PLENTY CLOTHED ENOUGH FOR A FIGHT!" In your spastic anger, you managed to hit and kick Herobrine several times.

"...(Y/n)..?" Worded the feminine voice softly.

"Stop it!" He spat over his shoulder at you. Realizing your little boxing match with nothing was hurting no one but your partner in crime, you did stop, even laying quite still.

"Hhhh, Billy, give me the sword." The first voice dully spoke. Wait- "Let's cripple Herobrine while we still can." After a few seconds held in silence, both you and Hero waiting for some kind of cue, a jabbing pain gripped you in the right side; the strike thankfully not strong enough to break past your ribs, but the sloppiness of it opening up a gash still plenty big enough for you to worry about!

"AAA!" You screamed, mostly because you were so startled by it. After that, you just hissed in pain, clutching the wound quickly spilling hot red liquid. Your screams riled up Herobrine behind you. He scratched his own hands and legs against the side of the sleeping bag, occasionally bumping your recovering body. It wasn't long before Herobrine managed to straight up just punch through the bag. You heard loud ripping and terrified gasps as the man wiggled his way out. You also struggled out shortly after him, adrenaline boosting your every frantic movement.

You blinked some in the new light, at last adjusting to the shady dark oak trees overhead with the occasional patches of sunlight. Herobrine was standing over the sleeping bag you crawled out from protectively, feral low stance with his arms out on either side of him, ready for a fight. The iron sword with your blood on it was laying on the grass in front of him. Standing in a sloppy triangle around the immortal, three monsters panicked.

"P-LEASE, we were told to bring you in alive or be killed!!" Raising her hands defensively, Mandie the enderwoman tripped over her own speech. To the right of Herobrine was Bart, and to the left was Billy. Your eyes widened as you took in the situation.

"WHO STABBED HER!?" Apparently not caring to dig any deeper like you, Herobrine's immediate goal was to seek revenge on the one who had caused your rapid loss of blood. You began to feel a little lightheaded... Were you really losing that much..?

"I-it was an accident!!" Bart quickly sputtered. He squealed as Herobrine leapt his way. The immortal grasped the small skeleton by his spiny throat and easily lifted him above his own head.

Shaking the skeleton violently, "I COULD SNAP YOUR NECK!"

"Pl-ease d-don't!" Bart kicked his little legs helplessly. You stood, terrified, right hand holding your bleeding wound still.

"Herobrine, STOP!" You shrieked. As did Billy, who with the bloodied iron sword grasped it in his big hands, charged for the teal shirted man. Expertly, Herobrine calculated Billy's footsteps. At the perfect moment, the immortal spun around. One hand slammed Bart into his approaching friend. The other extended to snatch the other's blade. And before that second even ended, the Immortal man shoved the blade just barely past Bart, plummeting through Billy's throat instead.

"NO-O!" You screamed. Herobrine then kicked Billy out from under the tree's shade and into a small patch of direct sunlight, Bart still in the mix. "HEROBRINE, NO! ST-STOP!" Bart and Billy both lit on fire. Scrambling for his life, the little skeleton leapt from the zombie and raced back under the shade of the trees, for his dear life! Mandie stood in pure shock. As did you. Herobrine at last turned your way, eyes landing on your shirt soaked in red. "THOSE ARE MY FRIENDS!!!" You panicked. Still clutching your side, you leapt forward for Billy, who was laying terrifyingly still as his green skin burnt to a crisp under the sun. Herobrine cought you, careful not to touch your bleeding wound. You continued to push past him.

"Easy now!" The man growled, both trying to keep you in place and inspect your wound as you desperately tried to climb over him! Seeing that Herobrine was preoccupied for the moment, Mandie teleported to Billy's fallen form quickly to inspect. Her purple eyes turned to you after a silent moment. Herobrine's back was turned from the situation as you and the enderwoman locked eyes, terror and pain equal in your eyes. At last, dark purple liquid built in the enderwoman's eyes, leaking slowly down her cheeks like syrup. You stopped struggling and just stared in disbelief, shaken. Yes, they were soldiers. And yes, accidents happen... But not Billy... Not him.

"Ow!" Sudden pain pulled you away from your silent mourning. Your jaw jerked downward, both seeing ad realizing for the first time that Herobrine had pulled part of your shirt up and was now busy applying pressure to your wound with a dull white cloth he must have teleported into his hands. "Ay! L-let me take care of that!" You slapped Herobrine's back, yanking yourself away from him quickly.

"Fine." Huffing, Herobrine released you. "You take care of that. ...I'll take care of them." Spinning around, the moment Herobrine's eyes locked with Mandie's, she vanished, leaving behind faint glowing dust. Herobrine closed his eyes, bloody hands clenching into fists as he thought deeply. You would do just about anything now to keep him from killing the other two!

"A- actually.." Snatching the immortal's attention. Herobrine turned himself to you curiously. "I might just need that help." Though you were sure you could deal with it on your own, since you had dealt with worse before on the battle field, you still did speak genuinely, since your hands were too shaky to do anything properly. Mostly due to the shock this morning had turned out to be. Herobrine huffed, scanning the forest around him, and then sighed, again turning your way.

"..Of course." He started stepping toward you. You felt uneasy, since he had just so casually lifted your shirt partially. Then again...who wouldn't in his situation? Your right side was coated in blood by this point. It was obvious you needed medical care. You began to feel glad even that Herobrine had stayed, since the terrible ache in your head had only grown, vision blurring and swaying a little as your heart slowed someone your chest. "Woah... Lay down, (Y/n).. You're in no condition to stand." Herobrine said as he approached. Though you felt like being extra rebellious in that moment, it was a good idea.

Swaying, nearly falling over as if you were drunk a couple times, you slowly made your way to the grassy floor and laid down on it. The stinging in your side was really getting to you now. Usually, you would just push through until the battle was over no problem, but now the pain was all you cared to think about as you bled into the grass.

Herobrine kneeled down on one knee, grabbing that already blood soaked rag again to press over your wound once he had revealed it again. You hissed in pain, jaws tightly clenched. "I know... I know..." The man mumbled. "...-Gah! I can't pinpoint any potions." Though you heard, you had little mental energy to respond or even think too much on it. You were too busy keeping your breathing steady in the moment so you wouldn't cry out in shock. Looking up from you and all the blood, Herobrine scowled at nothing in particular. "Hhhhh... Should be close enough to Manfrid... He always has potions.." You blinked and suddenly you were in motion. Herobrine was carrying you in his arms, teleporting occasionally as he traversed through the thick woods. You groaned, feeling so light headed it was beginning to scare you. All the immortal could do at the time was keep pressing that cloth to your side and press on. You blinked tiredly again, suddenly brought to the front door to a quaint old cabin. Something about it seemed a little different than other cabins. The door and structure were taller than normal. Herobrine stepped up, one bloody hand scooting under your weight just enough to knock on the door.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"I got it! I got it!" A cheery young girl announced from the other side. Your eyes widened, head lifting suddenly. You recognized that voice!

"No no, Anna. You sit down right there... It could be trouble." The voice of a kind old man was also heard, reaching the door just before he finished. Then the door clicked and freaked. A purple eye peered through the crack. It widened suddenly. "He-Herobrine?!" Herobrine remained stiff and silent for the time being. He barely even acknowledged the Enderman's question.

 "She needs healing potions."

"...Oh my... R-right away! I- I'll move the girl-"

 "P-please don't."

 "...Huh?"

Quieter now as he leaned in slightly, "Just a minute ago, (Y/n) was almost appearing dead.. That is, until, she heard the young one's voice."

"Ohhh! So this is (Y/n), then?" The old man whispered. Their hushed tones couldn't stop the inevitable, however.

 "Aunt (Y/n) is here?!?"

Chuckling, the elder turned to face the girl, warding her away from the tall door. "Yes, yes. But she's hurt now, so don't touch her. Alright?"

 "Oh nooo! What happened!?"

"Alright! You can come in. Put her on the couch. I don't mind the bloodstains." The elderman creaked the door open enough for Herobrine to step in with you. Anna gasped loudly, shortly after crying. As Herobrine set you down carefully on the old greenish couch, the old enderman knelt beside Anna as she cried... That bad, huh? "Ow! Remember; cry into the hankie. Not me." The elder reminded Anna softly. "The potions are just in that cabinets. The brightest ones are typically the strongest." Following the Enderman's instructions, Herobrine dug through a drawer until he pulled out a big pink one. Within seconds, Herobrine was beside your couch again, uncorking the lid and helping you sit up. Your arms reached out for the container, but by now your hands were so terribly shaky and numb, it was a nightmare simply trying to grab it properly. Herobrine sighed, scooting closer and pulling you a little further down the couch so he could leave you partially sat against some pillows and the armrest of the couch. Then, he used both of his hands to bring the bottle to your mouth for you to drink. There was a lot to down! Not to mention the potion itself was thick, terribly textured, and had the lingering taste of moldy socks. Because of these factors, the process took a little longer than expected and left a few sticky pink messes around your face and shirt. Not...enjoyable. What was enjoyable, however, was beginning to feel the results almost right away! Though it didn't heal fully, your wound shallowed, bleeding much less now. Herobrine sighed at last when he saw the positive results.

 "Manfrid... A little help cleaning..?"

"Y-yes, sir." The elderman left Anna's side at once, returning with a bucket of warm water and a rag, both clean. Anna sat silently on a little chair, widened eyes wondering at the horrific sight before her. The enderman elder took up the job of cleaning you up while Herobrine disposed of the now empty bottle into the sink just half a room away. The cabin was pretty small. Upon entry, there was a couch and a couple chairs along the right wall. Further behind that was a counter separating the kitchen space from the living space, behind it being more countertops and other basic kitchen appliances. To the left of that area was a small dining table meant for only two, and a little closer to the front door, branching off the left wall was another door which lead to the Enderman's only room. Simple yet functional. Apparently, this is where Anna had been for the last month or so as well!

Herobrine turned not long later with a while stash of other medical equipment. With Manfrid's help here and there, Herobrine cleaned and trapped your wound. Doing so required both sides of your shirt to be pulled up quite a bit... At last no one made it even more awkward by mentioning it. Once all was done, Herobrine sat onto the floor, heaving a surprisingly large sigh of relief. By now his hands were crusty with dry blood, and other parts of his outfit were also bloodied.

Seeing all was calmer now, Anna finally spoke up. "..Can I...see Aunt (Y/n) now..?" The little girl asked bashfully. Staring the girl dead in the eyes with the deadest, most emotionally drained of looks one can have, the man nodded at last. Anna jumped up exceiedly, running toward you and jumping over Herobrine's sprawled out legs to bug your upper torso tightly. You chuckled tiredly, smiling at last to see such a cute, bright face here to light up your day. "Aunt (Y/n), I missed you so so so so ssooooo much!!" The girl repeated, squeezing you tightly. "Is Mommy and Daddy okay?!"

"I..don't know- ckoh!" You interrupted yourself with a painful cough, which shook up your body and reinstated the previous pain. You hissed, clutching your side.

"Anna, move away from her." Herobrine rose into his knees, scooting away the reluctant child from you. He briefly double checked your body to make sure all was alright. You were fine for the most part. Not pain free, though. Seeing as you were fine, Herobrine turned his head with softer eyes toward your niece. "Yes, your parents are fine. I just checked on them last week."

"Yessss!" The little girl leapt for joy, running all around the house now. Manfrid sighed from his bedroom doorway.

"Oh no... I just got her to calm down after all those cookies she ate.."

You chuckled, again making your side ache. Herobrine tapped your hand delicately. "Perhaps try not to move much."

 "M' tryin'..." You huffed.

"Good... Manfrid, is there anything I can help you with?"

 "I-... Huh? Help...me?"

"I mean.. I have nothing better to do." The enderman elder blinked in surprise a few times before he could finally come up with an answer.

"We-well Anna was just helping me make lunch. If you would like to join us-"

"-I can." Herobrine said plainly, pushing himself up off the floor. "However...perhaps I should clean myself up a little first.." He then chuckled, glancing down at his messy shirt, pants, and especially hands.

"I don't have any new clothes.. but there is a bath and shower just outside the cabin."

 "Thanks. I should be quick."

The absolutely boring conversation going on lulled your already drained, light headed brain nearer to sleep. At last, you let it, hoping at the last second that this didn't mean you would be having any nightmares as you rested.
