"She's awake."
The sound of rustling grass and voices filled Marley's ears, she groaned softly trying to make sense of everything that was happening around her. Her body felt incredibly heavy and little numb, her head was fuzzy and she felt like she had just been awoken from an extremely deep sleep.
The brunette weakly opened her eyes but all she could see where blurry visions of light sweeping past her gaze.
"Take it easy child, don't push yourself."
The voice that reached her ears was exceedingly gentle, like the trickling of water down a small stream in the meadow.
"Where am I?" Marley groaned, the only movement she realized she was capable of was moving her head from side to side. The rest of her body felt incredibly weak, like someone had sucked all the life out of her and left just enough to keep her conscious.
"Ssssh hush child," the gentle voice whispered, "you're safe here."
"Who are you?"
