The night was a peaceful, but rather too short one for Arainna. She opened her eyes to surprises, all through the night, prince Liam didn't even come close to her, let alone touch her. He had promised to go out with her early the next day, she had tried to inquire where they would be visiting, he insisted on not telling her, but that she would be glad she visited.
Before Arainna opened her eyes, he was up already. He just sat at the edge of the bed sipping a hot cup of tea. " Good morning my lady " he greeted her with a smile. Arainna just smiled. The way he called her my lady made her feel so valued and special. " Are you ready for the day ? " He asked her smiling again. Arainna just smiled again.
" We must leave early. It's going be quite a distance ." He said sipping from his cup.
" Alright " Arainna said standing up from the bed, however in a very sluggish manner. She was about to move, then she stood still as though she remembered something. She walked to the bed and sat at the edge of the bed, directly opposite to prince Liam.
Prince Liam looked at her with an expectation. " I was hoping to talk to you about aunt Rose " she said calmly.
" Okay, what about her? Did she do something wrong ? Don't you like her ?" He asked her simultaneously looking a bit perturbed.
" No ! Rather on the contrary she has only known how to do the right things so far. I was hoping she could be made my personal maid here as well ." Arainna said playing with her fingers, not looking at prince Liam.
" Uhm... Did your maids do something bad ? Are they not carrying out their duties properly? C'mon my lady, don't hide anything from me, I want to be sure you are doing fine. " Prince Liam said drawing closer to her and looking deep into her eyes.
" Naaaaah ! ( Arianna said waving her hands in objection ) my maids have been carrying out there duties with the needed zeal and zest that is require of them. However, aunt Rose seems like a mother figure to me, I just feel better when she administers care. Of cause ( she began again trying to look considerate ) my maids would still be around to help out, but I just want to be in the safer hands of aunt rose." Prince Liam was silent...
" But if you don't like the idea, it's okay. I wouldn't feel bad, I just wanted... " She hadn't finished speaking when prince Liam hushed her gently closing her lips with his finger.
" Look what ever it is you want, so long as it is in my power, I'd make sure you have it. Am sure aunt Rose wouldn't mind to take care of you as well, she's such a good woman. I'd tell her to take charge immediately. " He announced. Arianna was happy she kept smiling " thank you " she finally said.
" C' mon your wish is my command. " He said rising up from the bed, and left the room.
Arainna rose to her feet, and began to dance around the room. For such a long time, she hadn't been so happy. She regarded it as her first win in the battle to have her sister back, and return to her normal life. She twirled around the room, skillfully and tactfully. She kept humming just like Brianna would do, because she didn't have a music she was dancing to. She twirled till she got to the bathroom, and went to take her bath...
Emmaline was about to leave the room in search of princess Arainna. Just before she left, Iris bursted into the room panting. It was obvious she had been running. " What's the problem Iris ? " Emmaline asked starring at her with disdain.
" I just got a letter from Ferdinand. He changed his mind to come this morning, he said he has other assignments to attend to, he asked that we reschedule for before mid-day. "
" So what seems to be the problem ? " Emmaline asked her still not looking moved.
" Emmaline you're supposed to be in your hideout before he comes, it means we have to leave for the woods now, or it wouldn't be possible for you to come with . "
Emmaline felt wounded and deafeated again. She was supposed to see the princess this morning, but it wasn't going to be possible again she didn't know how she felt, but it wasn't a nice feeling.
" Oh ! " Emmaline said looking depressed. " We should leave then " Emmaline said to her. They both left the room and headed for the woods...
As soon as they were in the woods, it was dead silent. Emmaline felt so uneasy, she could not really tell the feeling. But it was like she was at the point of no return. They walked silently. A wild animal ran passed with great speed, Emmaline nearly freaked out. She was disturbed greatly within her, but couldn't tell why. She paid attention to every passing thing. They were far enough, Iris showed her a spot to hid. It was behind a very big bald Cypress tree. Emmaline tried to be as quiet as she could be.
Iris on the other hand just stood quietly waiting for Ferdinand at the middle of the woods. Emmaline prayed silently that things should be fine. As soon as Emmaline was done praying, she was hit three times with a very big wood on her head. Emmaline screamed out in pain, as she fell to the ground. Her blood flowed helplessly...
