Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Divinity

Following the coronation ceremony my marriage with Azula, I mean 'Sapphire', took place. After the marriage was over we moved on to my first order of business. I announced to the kingdom that I have found a way to give people the ability to bend multiple elements to a select few. There will be a summit where I will first give those who are already the master's of an element additional elements.

All military leaders were given all four elements in the first week. I then moved on to our local masters and then all our troops within the next couple of weeks.

Of course, I never forgot to force their loyalty and admiration. I even gained a few concubines in the process because some girls are just too cute to turn away.

With little Sokkas destined to run all around the earth kingdom I decide is time I make a move on the Fire Lord. I could use my army of avatars, or I could single handedly rush to his Palace and destroy him.

Not wanting to have to coordinate with hundreds or thousands of troops I decide I'd rather send them all to finish terraforming the desert. It's going to serve as the base of my new 'Republic' City.

Not wasting any more time I rush to the fire nation via Appa. Any projectile launched at us being really diverted with acute application of mostly air bending. The frequency of projectiles only increasing as more ships pile up behind me. Once the ship density increased to a point where I considered it too annoying to deal with I used my Avatar state and directly sliced the front half off of every boat closest to me with a water slice.

I take a moment to absorb the view of an ocean dyed in various blacks and reds from a combination of blood and coal. "There's nothing more beautiful than dying the ocean in the blood of fools who dream too big." I say to no one, an itch on my wrist bringing me to my senses as I realize that I might be acting a little bit edgy and if I keep this up my wrists could potentially cut themselves.

I clear my throat and continue towards the heart of the fire nation. Arriving with no more obstacles as everyone heard of my many massacres and my current lack of subtlety. The guards at the palace retreat rapidly at my approach, the sages bow before me, and the servants beg for mercy as they kowtow in the halls.

I pay them all no heed, simply walking by them. For those dumb enough to be in the straight path between me and the fire Lord I just walk on them like they are just an extension of the ground, as I'm currently not in the mood to exercise patience as my blood lust rages on.

Arriving in the throne room I catch sight of the enraged Fire Lord dishing out orders to his few brave generals until he spots me. "Avatar! I'll take this chance you gave me to end your life!"

Jumping forward he launches a bolt of lightning, which I easily redirect back at him before using blood bending to snap his limbs at the joints. Following my crippling of Ozai I murder the last brave souls from his war council before removing any semblance of independent thought this fool once had, filling his mind with only the desire to be my lap dog. I grant him all the elements and then restore his body.

"What is thy bidding my master?" Ozai asks, on his hands and knees.

"You will hand all your colonies over to me, you will withdraw all your military forces from foreign soil and transfer their units under my command. You will become a puppet state ruled by my kingdom and you will neuter yourself once I leave."

With that I return to my kingdom taking the scenic route, touring the new expansion of the 'Avatar Nation'.

Returning to Ba Sing Se I give bending to the lottery winners and make them eternally loyal to yours truly. Once I get the news back on the completion of the terraforming in the desert I get a team of city builders sent over there to construct new homes and schools with a massive structure meant to be the Avatar University.

The news of the fire nation surrendering and merging with my new nation spreads all across the seven seas. The news causing the world's powers to move. People of the northern water tribe begin a journey to come congratulate me with their chief, the southern tribe begins their migration to my territory to take their places as nobles. Other earth kingdom villages, towns, chiefs, and kings come to also congratulate me. Of course, while they are visiting I do not hesitate to destroy their minds and absorb them into my structure. The only person to put up a spiritual fight being Bumi. He still didn't last too long though.

As the days go by I manage to give my entire military force all four elements of bending as well as forcing their undying loyalty to serve me. By the year's end I get all of my people's to immigrate into the main body of my kingdom and also to my expansion in the desert area that has been completely reshaped and rebuilt.

After the military has been fully upgraded I begin a property consistent lottery to give individual people my special treatment. Over the course of 5 years the whole populous of the world that was connected to the earth kingdom or either of the other three became unified under my brainwashing. A world filled with millions of my pawns that serve as extensions of myself that all wholeheartedly wish to serve me and be like what they think I'm like.

Everything remains in my total control as I expand this world's technological advancements using the rough knowledge I carried over from my past life, becoming progressively more advanced at a rapid pace because of my insane super talent. By the time I'm in my mid 20's the world received it's first look at cyber enhancement, my mid 30's we managed to surgically transplant brains into hyper capable robot bodies.

I never delved into A.I. for fear that it might realize my rule over the world is rather tyrannical and actually involves everyone losing their free will making it want to destroy me. I also outlawed research into A.I. with the excuse that it is unethical to create a mechanical soul, even though I really didn't need to make up a reason.

With everyone in the civilized world being water benders and a ton of them being trained in healing in combination with the power of modern medicine brought by our insanely rapid technological advancement death via illnesses of various kinds has become nearly zero. Cancer was cured by my early 30's, most viruses were made null by water bending, many debilitating birth defects were fixed using cyberware and water bending for healing.

As an additional side note, as the world became more cemented in my order the stronger my Avatar state became. I attribute this to Rava being the spirit of order. Even if she wasn't brainwashed and fused with me she'd probably be down for it.

Come the day of harmonic convergence I entered physically into the spirit world and found a weak decrepit Vaatu. I invade his prison and destroy his mind before fusing with him as well, nearly doubling my power.

The power body was largely unnecessary but I figured I might as well since I don't want anyone else to be as powerful nor as similar in capability as me.

As my life begins reaching it's natural end I do something crazy, insane even. I separate my soul, with it's fusion buddies, from my body and attempt to become an eternal spiritual being. My hopes are short lived however, a seemingly omnipotent power beams down from the heavens, penetrating my essence.

*This must be that God that sent me here, he's trying to halt my progress, he doesn't want me to become like him.*

I use energy bending to fend off the remainder of his God ray. My spiritual hands ending up gone from the exchange.

"I won't let you stand in my way you smooth brained twat!"

In response another beam shoots from the heavens, however, I was prepared. I zip around the beam and channeling my energy bending and my connection to the spirit world I launch a beam of my own, legend of Korra style. The sky shatters when my blast connects revealing the very entity that gave me my wishes, they were unscathed.

"I see you've touched upon the realm of divinity. Too bad you didn't wish for a system, if you had you could have probably put up more of a fight." The being scoffs at me.

"Jokes on you, the rules of the universe are vague and simultaneously very rigid. All I need is contact and a strong enough will then your everything will be mine!" With that I charge at him deflecting his hastily created beam only to be knocked back by another.

"What's wrong?! Your beams aren't as powerful as those first two? Do you perhaps need time to charge up?" Even in my spirit form I maintained my bending, with those powers I keep the God from being able to fully charge his blasts by launching all manner of projectiles at him.

As our fight continues my super talent allows me to grasp the concept of his divine spirit energy, and with my spirit bending I managed to recreate the energy within myself. While doing so I detect a sliver of the energy inside of both Vaatu and Rava, allowing me to more accurately make my own spirit into divine energies.

The whole process was instant once I had decided to perform it. In a panic the God tried to fire off another beam at me but this time I managed to properly deflect it.

"Hahaha! You thought that my choice was weak compared to those silly systems with their slow and steady progression systems and minor power hops. Look at this, my super talent allows me to learn and apply anything faster than anyone before me. I attained godhood simply by being exposed to a new spiritual energy I haven't detected before! It would have taken me at least another decade or two before I reached this level alone, or even with a system. You foolish God!"

"No! This isn't right! This isn't possible!" He tries a last ditch effort to take me down, ripping something from within his stomach and crushing it in his hand causing a wave of power to radiate throughout the spirit world.

He launches a final attack in his panicked state however, he made a key mistake. His panic made his energy more easily bendable.

Deflecting his beam with more ease than all the rest I approached his slouching frame and perform my due diligence on his mind and body. I take his form into my soul alongside Rava and Vaatu, increasing my overall power yet again as I complete my ascension into a true eternal being. The fusion between me and my three buddies becoming complete as my soul assimilates them entirely, becoming a single whole as opposed to three stitched together entities.

On completion of my fusion my vision goes dark for a moment before returning to me, revealing a large empty white room with a single desk in the middle, a tall featureless humanoid creature sits filling out paperwork.

"I see you've managed to become a minor divine. Congratulations!" He produces a party popper and fires it off into my face.

I grumble.

"You are the only member of your batch to overcome their obstacled and ascend. You brought peace to your world that will stretch on for at least the next few thousand years, you reached the pinnacle of power in the world you were sent to, and you neutralized the lesser God that would prevent you from attaining divinity. Even more impressive is that in your fight with them you comprehend divine energy and managed to jump straight to the rank of a minor God." He claps enthusiastically.

"So, what now?"

"You have two options."

"What are they?"

"First, become a God responsible for processing reincarnations."

"The second?"

"Start from scratch in the same world but you only get one wish. If you manage to succeed again you will reobtain your current powers and live freely. You cannot make either of the same wishes you made the first time nor can you wish to keep your current powers."

"Well shit. I guess I'll wish for your powers."

"I'm afraid my power is the same as yours but with more potency, as such you cannot wish for my power."

"Tch, yeah right, you just don't want to make this easy for me." I kick his desk.

"You're not exactly incorrect."

"I guess I'll shoot for a solo run so I suppose I'll wish for the ability to absorb the power of those I've killed with a perfect conversion ratio of the power consumed. Meaning that those consumed by my ability give me all their energy, abilities, spirit volume, etcetera."

"Well, at least you will need to murder for it I guess." The God snaps his fingers and I awake being covered in snow yet again, to my beautiful sister uncovering me from the snow in the exact same way.

"Thanks Katara." I fake embarrassment in my tone.

"Instead of thanking me you should be apologizing to everyone else, we've spent the last half hour digging you out!"

"Sorry everyone!" I bow deeply to those around.

After they all disperse I pat the snow off of myself and begin heading out to go fishing.

"And where do you think you're going?!" Katara grabs my shoulder.

"I'm going out fishing. Am I not allowed anymore?" I pull myself from her grasp as I rush to the canoe not waiting for a response. On the way I grab a rope and a big rock.

As I push off from the ice Katara hops into the canoe too. "Hey, look, everything's gonna be fine Sokka. I know things have been hard since dad and the others left but things will get better." She takes my hand in hers.

"Things have only ever gotten worse, the tribe can barely keep itself together without him here. We're barely able to keep enough food in store for everybody."

"That's only because the kids aren't able to help yet and their mothers are busy taking care of them. In another year or two they'll be less dependant and things will pick up. I know it will." She turns to look back at our village that is growing progressively further away.

"You're probably right. At least I hope you're right. Anyway, we should catch something before we start heading back at least."

Katara nods as we both get to work on our separate attempts at catching fish. I keep peeking back at her until I notice that she's looking the complete opposite direction of me. Taking this chance I impale her straight through the neck from behind, not even allowing her time to scream as her body falls limp, a few gurgles escaping her neck hole as the last of the air in her lungs escapes from her blood filled trachea. I make sure her body slumps forward, getting only a small splatter of blood on the boat and myself, the rest pouring into the ocean.

A surge of power fills me as I feel my connection to the water around me reestablish. Already familiar with the technique I use water to freeze over the wound to stop the bleeding since she's already dead, while doing so I take note of how weak I am and how much super talent contributed to my rapid progress.

I tie up her body with one end of the rope and tie the other to the big rock I brought with me. I dump her into the water and watch as she sinks. I go through the motions of water bending realizing the movements are still thoroughly ingrained in me it's just an issue with a lack of power.

*I can either work out my 'spiritual muscles' or I can kill more people. Killing the Avatar will most definitely give me an insane power boost, and I already know where to find his ass.* With that I begin water bending my boat in search of Aang's glacier.
