Chapter 12 - My Father Is a Big Scumbag

First, he caused a scene at his engagement, then he caused a public uproar in the city. Finally, he even hacked the GU Corporation's electronic system. Now he appeared in front of him as the owner of the jade bracelet. There must be a reason!

Gu Chenge sized up the neatly dressed child in front of him, and the expression in his eyes became meaningful.

"How old are you two this year?"

Cheng Liang looked straight at the man in front of him. Although he was young, he had a very sensitive observation ability. He easily saw the surprise in Gu Chenge's eyes.

"We're five this year. What's wrong?"

"Five years old..."

After he had sex with that woman six years ago, she left without saying goodbye. He had searched for her for so long, but the only clue he had was the jade bracelet on her hand. Now, this bracelet was actually in the hands of these two children!

Once the seed of doubt was planted, it took root in his heart and grew into a towering tree. Gu Chenge looked carefully at Cheng Liang. This child was very courageous, and his facial features were inexplicably similar to his own. Could it be that this child was born six years ago from that woman? Gu Chenge narrowed his eyes slightly, but his voice was much lower, "Can you tell me where the jade bracelet at the auction came from?"

Cheng Mo was still young. He was used to being protected by his older brothers and sisters. He didn't even think much before he blurted out, "This is my mother-"

"Third brother! Your shoelace is untied!"

At the critical moment, Cheng Liang pulled Cheng Mo back and silently gave him a meaningful look. Cheng Mo instantly understood what his brother meant. He widened his eyes and looked at Gu Chen.

"President Gu has already bought this treasure. Why do you need to know so much?"

Gu Chenge looked at the bold boy in front of him, not angry at all. He said patiently, "This jade bracelet means a lot to me. I want to know who its owner is."

"Since this jade bracelet was brought by us to the auction site, we are naturally its owners," Cheng Liang explained slowly. He wanted to see if this man would investigate further.

"Do you think the CEO of the Gu Corporation is so gullible?" Gu Chenge snorted and asked.

"If you really want to know the story behind this bracelet, it's not impossible."Cheng Liang rubbed his chin and thought seriously for a moment. A crafty light flashed in his eyes. "You need to pay us an inquiry fee."

Gu Chenge took out a check from the drawer and said calmly, "Just fill it in."

Cheng Liang wrote a sum of 50 million on the check very calmly and then made up a random reason.

"When my sister and I were working as models overseas, we met a beautiful sister. This jade bracelet was given to us by that sister."

"A strange sister gave it to us?" Gu Chenge stared into Cheng Liang's eyes. Obviously, he could not believe this absurd reason, but he could not see any other emotions in this little guy's eyes.

Cheng Liang shrugged, "Yes, the pretty sister thought we were very cute, so she generously gave us the bracelet on her hand."

Gu Chenge's fingertips tapped on the table rhythmically, as if he was thinking about Cheng Liang's words. After a moment, he pretended to ask casually, "Who is your father?"

Cheng Liang shook his head, "I'm sorry, Master Gu. This is our privacy. We can't disclose it."

Gu Chen calmly took out two checks. "Answer my question. I'll pay double the inquiry fee."

Cheng Liang's eyes lit up. It was a waste not to earn money. He and Cheng Mo filled out the checks and then slowly said, "Our father is a big jerk."

"That's right. Mommy gave birth to me and my younger brother and sister, and then he heartlessly abandoned us. He hasn't even looked at us for so many years. We thought he was dead!" Cheng Mo clenched his fists and said angrily.

Cheng Liang observed Gu Chenge's expression and continued, "If he dares to come back to Mommy, my brother and sister will definitely teach him a good lesson!"
