"Hello everyone!" Luna's greeting just made everyone's attention to her.
"Hey honey, oh, you're getting more and more beautiful by the day." Lucy deliberately praised Luna excitedly for hurting Mila.
But Elena didn't just stare at her. "What's beautiful plastic surgery for?!"
"Elena!" rebuked Lucy, but Elena was indifferent. She just said, "Isn't it true Mom? She just had plastic surgery two weeks ago in Korea. That nose is too high like Pinochio."
"Honey." Chris tried to stop his wife from getting into an argument with his mother.
"You sit near Kevin, honey." Lucy placed Luna sitting on Kevin's left, because Mila happened to be sitting on Kevin's right.
"Vin, you're really handsome today. You must be on purpose because you know I want to come?" Luna said that with one hand stroking Kevin's cheek seductively, making Kevin immediately ward off Luna's wild hand.
"What the hell are you doing?! Mom, change your seat with me. So it's not really nice to sit here." Kevin immediately said after that.
Incidentally, Kevin's mother sits on Mila's right, so Mila's position was flanked by Elena on her right and Kevin on her left.
Now Kevin is occupying Elena's seat.
So, Elena changed to sit next to Luna, while Kevin was still able to sit on Mila's right.
Do you understand the seating order? If you don't understand, try drawing your own sitting position.
"Kevin, why are you like that?" Luna protested in a spoiled tone, causing Elena to immediately throw her attack. "Don't be silly, okay?"
"Oh yes, Grandma, before I came here I stopped by to buy a cake for Grandma. After dinner, we'll eat together, okay?"
"A lot of calories," Elena deliberately replied, causing Chris to just shake his head. A little surprised by the attitude of his wife who always seemed cruel to people she didn't like.
"Oh, you shouldn't have bothered, Dear. Thank you, you're really kind. It's very different from his future wife Kevin who came here with nothing." Lucy deliberately emphasized the word 'nothing' to quip Mila .
Making Kevin almost, almost re-emotional, but Mila chose to divert the conversation.
"Oh yes mom, who cooked this red soup? It's really delicious. Mila likes it!" She exclaimed, making Kevin smile at the sight.
Fortunately, Mila was not affected by her grandmother's words just now.
Even though Mila deliberately put aside her hurt feelings because of Kevin's grandma's treatment because she didn't want to spoil the atmosphere, especially if Kevin got emotional.
"Mommy cooks it myself. Do you really like it?"
"Yes Mom. It tastes exactly the same as Mila's mother made. The best taste in the world!" Mila said that with a thumbs up, making Elena give a big smile.
"You can just seduce mommy!"
Lucy quipped, but Mila chose to ignore it. The more you listen, the more it hurts.
So it's better to leave it alone.
"Luna also really likes this auntie's meat, Auntie, what is this called?"
"Why don't you know that? You can't cook, can you?" quipped Elena sarcastically.
"Honey, you should try this too. Mommy's rendang is the best. Mama even ordered the meat directly from Australia when I said you wanted to come."
Kevin gets food for Mila, deliberately showing his affection in front of Luna.
"Seriously, the meat comes straight from Australia?" Mila was amazed to hear that.
"Yes, Kevin is right. Yesterday, your mother was angry with the courier because the meat order was late."
"Wow, are you serious?" Luna joined in, but Chris only focused his eyes on Mila, ignoring Luna too.
"Is that true, Dad? To be scolded?" Mila's reaction, amazed. Half can't believe it.
"Yes, Dear. Dad is so confused about how to separate your mother from the courier, after the courier is so scared. Your mother is scary when she's angry!"
"Daddy. Well, don't talk about that part too. What are you doing?" Elena also scolded her husband.
"Yes, it's okay, honey. I'm also telling the same story just with our future daughter-in-law," said Chris, to which Elena immediately agreed.
"If it's with Mila, it's okay, but if it's with a stranger like the woman beside me, don't be!" Elena said while glancing at Luna, making grandma act immediately.
"Enough, Elena! What are you doing?!" snapped Lucy, rising from her position and staring intently at her daughter-in-law.
"Lucy, sit back down on your seat. We haven't finished dinner yet. Don't overdo it!" said Orlan, Lucy's husband.
"Am I exaggerating? Seriously, Orlan. All of you who have been so disrespectful to my guests. Then should I just keep quiet?"
"Lucy ..." Once again, Orlan was still trying to have a nice talk with his wife.
"Why? You want to join in defending a girl whose origins are not clear?! Even though it's clear that Luna is better off everywhere. She's already beautiful, has a master's degree, a business woman, and comes from a family with a clear origin! " Lucy pointed at Mila with her hand, making Orlan unable to stay still.
"Lucy, I told you enough! You didn't hear what I said?!" Orlan stood up from his seat because of his emotions.
"It's okay, Luna is okay. Luna doesn't matter if everyone here doesn't respect Luna. Maybe they're just being influenced by the girl's pretending to be innocent."
"Shut up, Luna! Don't pretend you're good! Your appearance isn't polite, you might actually insult my future daughter-in-law." Elena also entered into the debate.
"Auntie, I wore this dress because I came from a photo shoot, so I didn't have time to –"
"If you don't have time, why did you come? No one expected you to come here too."
Hearing Elena's words, Luna's face changed. With one hand, she immediately took her small bag, and said goodbye to go home.
"Grandma, Luna wants to go home now! Excuse me." Luna had already stepped out of the dining room, but Lucy held her back.
"Well, go home! You don't have to come back here again, okay?"
"KEVINN!" Lucy jerked her grandson away.
"Honey, don't go home! The cake you brought has not been eaten yet."
"I don't want to! Anyway, Luna wants to go home, Grandma!" After that, Luna immediately walked quickly out of the dining room.
Making Lucy even more emotional is not playing because the others don't seem to care about Luna's departure.
"You guys are really going too far! You should prefer Luna, not that girl who is far from our family standards!" Once again, Lucy looked down on Mila.
"What standard are you talking about, Lucy? You want to match my beloved grandson with a girl like Luna? Seriously! I can't imagine how our reputation in front of all our colleagues will be if I have to have a granddaughter-in-law who looks like her!"
"Orlando! How dare you say that! Luna is not like that!"
"Honey, let's come with mom. Let's go to Kevin's room, I want to show you something." Elena prefers to take Mila away before the girl gets more insults from her grandmother-in-law.
"Dad and Kevin. We have something to discuss about the investor problem in Bandung yesterday." Chris replied, because he didn't want to hear his mother's nagging further.
"Kevin also needs to talk about our business branch network in Europe, Dad." Kevin joined his father.
"Let's talk in Grandpa's room, okay?" Orlan then walked first with his son and grandson, leaving Lucy who was increasingly filled with anger because of her family's attitude.
"Hey all of you, wait! I'm not done talking yet!" Lucy screamed like a madwoman, but sadly no one paid any attention.
Oh, Poor Lucy.
