Chereads / [BL] Gentleman's valet / Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

"This dirty and disgusting thief, not to mention stealing our family's belongings, and dare to tarnish my sister's reputation, he is a demon! Oh, my poor Catherine, if she hears this bastard's foul language, she will definitely faint, my God! I can't breathe anymore." Margaret cuddled up next to her husband, Viscount Wilson. The Viscount felt sorry for his little wife, staring coldly at the people in the center of the court, and said to the judge: "Your Excellency, I am already angry and speechless. He is an ungrateful and shameless villain. This heinous guy should be hanged!"

...

I suddenly woke up.

Wiping the cold sweat on my head, it turned out I had a nightmare again.

Today, Viscount Wilson will come to visit, and the entire Mormon Manor is in anxiety again. The servants, ranging from the two housekeepers to the lowest kitchen maid are all very busy. At noon, we finally saw Viscount Wilson's carriage in the cold wind.

He is indeed very old.

His hair was gray, the top of his head was bald, the corners of his eyes had deep wrinkles, and his eyelids were drooping, but fortunately he was very energetic. He enthusiastically shook hands with Viscount Bruce, like an old friend he hadn't seen for many years.

After kissing Mrs. Bruce, Wilson turned to the two beautiful ladies behind her.

The Viscountess introduced: "These are my two daughters, Margaret and Catherine."

After the two saluted Wilson, Margaret suddenly raised a smile: "Master Viscount, are you the Viscount who lives in Pete Sally?"

The girl's voice is like a living lark, full of carefree and innocent.

Wilson immediately laughed, and said softly like a flattering lover: "Yes, my lovely lady, I am honored to be heard by a beautiful woman like you."

Margaret tilted her head and said, "I heard that there is an ancient tree in your manor. It has been thousands of years old. Can you tell me about it?"

Viscount Bruce looked at his enthusiastic second daughter, but he couldn't react to it for a while, didn't she refuse? Why was she so enthusiastic again.

"Oh, Margaret, you are so rude, Wilson just arrived." The Viscountess reprimanded Margaret, and then smiled and said to Wilson: "Welcome to you, please come inside. You must be frozen."

Marguerite was in a place where the Viscountess could not see, and put out her tongue playfully at Wilson. Wilson laughed and seemed to like this lively girl very much. He walked into the castle under the guidance of the Viscount couple, and The two young ladies who were behind glanced at each other.

"I changed my mind, I decided to marry him." Margaret said.

"I thought sister hated that old man." Catherine whispered.

"Now it seems that he is not that old, and he seems to like me more." Margaret raised her chin.

"As long as sister is not disgusted." Catherine lowered her head, no one could see her face clearly.

Margaret smiled triumphantly and took her sister's arm: "Okay, we should go in."

In the servant room, several servants are chatting.

"A baron has just left, and another viscount has arrived. The marriage of the two young ladies is full of twists and turns."

"Which young lady do you think Mr. Wilson will propose?"

"If the lady is married, how many maids will she bring?"

"Maybe a footman too." Someone said winkingly.

"What nonsense are you talking about!" A majestic female voice interrupted the conversation.

The servants hurriedly got up and looked at the housekeeper Selena in a panic.

"Chewing your tongue behind my back and gossiping about the master's life. Is this what you should do? If you don't want to work here anymore, there are more than enough people who can replace you!"

After the servants were driven away, Selena sat wearily on a chair.

"Are you okay? Are you sick?"

"Oh, Owen, you suddenly showed up and shocked me." Selena said, stroking her chest.

"I'm sorry, I scared you." I apologized: "I'm just worried about you. You look bad. Would you like to call a doctor."

"No, no, no need." Selena said: "I'm fine, but there are some bad rumors among the servants recently..."

"What did they say?"

"This is simply a shame for me as a housekeeper. I shouldn't let the gossip of the mansion generated. Who is spreading this nonsense? I must get him out. At such a sensitive time, what if it gets in the ears of the Masters ? " Selena said helplessly.

"Is it about Miss Margaret?" I lowered my voice.

"You! Did you hear that too? What should I do?" Selena became anxious.

In the eyes of everyone, I have always acted a taciturn image and paid no attention to other people's remarks, so Selena felt that if I knew this gossip, then it must have reached a very serious point.

"Do you think I should tell Madam, let Madam come to punish the servants ?" Selena asked me.

"It's impossible for Miss Margaret to do such a sordid thing. If you say it specifically, you will smear the face of the lady, and the lady will definitely be angry with you. It is better to suppress it in private and wait for Margaret. After the young lady gets married, this matter is over." I said bewildered.

Selena was thinking about it.

I stood beside her quietly, waiting for her to think about it. After a long time, she suddenly asked me uncertainly: "The second lady doesn't have anything to do with Jason, right? They always talk and laugh."

I quickly made a 'hush' posture: "What are you talking about? The servants are talking nonsense. You should suppress it quickly. How can you get suspected like them?"

Selena said with a blank face: "You are right, Owen, thank you."

"My pleasure."

Selena quickly left the servant's room, under the candlestick, a black shadow fell on my face.

At the party, Margaret had been holding Wilson's arm, and they seemed to have become close friends.

The Viscount and his wife both showed a satisfied look.

"Margaret grows up and can use her brain. You see how happy she coaxed Wilson. He has been fascinated by her. During the entire banquet, his eyes never left her." The Viscountess laughed.

The Viscount also breathed a sigh of relief: "I knew Wilson would like Margaret. He likes lively girls. Although Catherine is beautiful, she is quiet and elegant, but luckily Margaret changed her mind."

"Do you think he would propose to her?" asked the Viscountess.

"Don't worry, even if he do propose to Magaret, he have to wait for a while. How can anyone propose to marriage the moment just meet? You have to entertain Wilson and make him feel at home. If we can get Wilson's support, we won't have to worry about it in the future." Viscount said.

Not far away, Catherine looked at her happy sister with a complicated expression on her face.

During the banquet, the ladies have to change their clothes frequently.

In the dressing room, Catherine grabbed one of Margaret's skirts and stroked it up and down.

The girl's white fingers fell on the gorgeous satin surface like white pearls rolling, suddenly the girl's emerald eyes were fierce, and she began to tear the satin fiercely as if she wanted to tear this beautiful skirt into pieces. Fortunately, the fabric is strong, no matter how hard it is, it only leaves a trace.

"My God, Catherine, what are you doing!"

This familiar scream came from Catherine's mother.

Catherine turned around in a panic, and the skirt in her hand fell to the ground.

The Viscountess quickly picked up the skirt, and saw that the skirt was not torn, and then said with a sigh of relief: "Even if you are angry, you shouldn't do this kind of thing. She is your sister. You can't marry Viscount Wilson, But if you ruin your sister's opportunity, what should your father and I do? What should our family do?"

Catherine laughed mockingly: "I tore her skirt to ruin her opportunity? Then isn't it too easy to lose this opportunity?"

"You have been smarter than your sister since you were a child. You deserve better, my good daughter." The Viscountess soothed.

"Better? Without money, where is the better one?" Catherine sighed and said, "If it weren't for our family, I would really like to tear Margaret's face apart."

"You are sisters, don't be like this!" The viscountess shook the fan hard and seemed to start to out of breathing again.

"Mom, do you think the cousin will come again?" Catherine asked worriedly.

"Cousin? You said that hunchback?"

"Which cousin do we have besides him?" Catherine frowned.

The viscountess patted Catherine on the shoulder: "Don't worry, he will come back, even if he doesn't come back, we will find a way to get him back, and then let him marry you."

"Is there any way? He is not interested in me at all."

"He is going to inherit your father's title, and takes advantage of it but refuses to marry you. How can there be so many free luncheons for him! Don't worry, mother won't let you suffer." The viscountess's eyes flickered: "If he doesn't know how to praise, We will kill him, without him, there will be more remote Bruce to inherit..."
