"Moises!! What's wrong!!?" Edison shouted. "Moises!" Chloe shouted as well. Everyone runs to go check up on Moises. "Moises... what did you see?" Edison asked one last time.
Moises looked up at everyone "... I died..."
"You what?" 07 asked. "I died!" Moises held his head and dropped to his knees "I saw myself get stabbed in the heart"
Chloe and Mark looked at each other "I didn't know this would happen" Lilly says. "Of course you didn't" Wuhan said "You brought us out here without even thinking if-"
"Wuhan, shut the fuck up!" Nugget shouted and grabbed Moises's shoulders "Moises... Don't worry about it"
"Yeah" Chloe said as she helped Moises up "We won't let that happen" Moises looked at Chloe in tears "Thank you" He sniffed his nose.
"Did everyone see it? Izuzunu?" Edison asked. Everyone replied that they did. "God damn it, who did that? We wouldn't go to Izuzunu to destroy it... That could've been another nation's doing" Mark said.
"Yeah..." Edison responded.
Something's lurking in the waters. A dangerous creature. The murksoul. Behind Lexie, the murksoul was about to grab Lexie's legs, but then Lilly spots it "Lexie!" Lilly shouted as Lexie quickly turned around.
Lilly kicks the murksoul's arms as it backs away.
Mikey grabs Lexie "Lexie! Are you okay!?" She shouted. The murksoul jumps out the water and stared down on the group. "Guys! Stay back!" Mark shouted. The group began to regret the one thing they didn't bring with them; armor and tools.
Everyone was filled with fear "Auhh..." they said in fear as the murksoul dashes toward Mark.
RISE OF IZUZUNU
VOLUME 10, CHAPTER 115, MURKSOUL
Mark dodges "Dodge!!" Everyone followed along as the murksoul misses them and hits its head onto the tree by luck "Holy shit!!" George shouted. Moises looked around until finding a cave behind the waterfall "Guys!!!" George screamed very loudly. George gers everyone else's attention "Follow me!!"
George ran to the cave opening behind the waterfall. Everyone followed and enter. The murksoul was left outside as it slowly got up and growled. Everyone ran through the caves and find it getting tighter and tighter "Oh God, oh god" George says.
There was a little hole that everyone can fit through to get to the other side. "We have to go through here to be safe" Mark said as he takes the lead to go through the hole first.
Mark crawled through the hole and makes it to the end where there is a room surround by shelves "What in the..." he said.
Mark looked through the hole "Come in! It's safe!" He shouted. "Alright" Chloe says "Kids go first, then us" she said while grabbing Lexie to help her get in the hole.
07 looked at Nugget "Anyone here claustrophobic?"
"Yeah" Clay replied. 07 faced him in confusion "I didn't even know you were here"
Later inside the room everyone searched the shelves for any weapons to fight back the murksoul. "Who the hell used to live here?" Edison asked himself out loud, but Mark answers "I don't know... maybe a lost scientist?" Mark assumed because on the shelves were glasses and tubes and also potions. Mikey flips a switch that then turns on a light on the ceiling they've never seen before "What the!?" They all said. The room is lit up now. "What do we do? We can't stay here forever" Edison asks Mark "I don't know-" Suddenly they hear a loud growl outside the hole "Quick! Turn off the light!" Chloe shouted quietly at Mikey. The lights go off as the growling comes nearer and nearer. "Hey, do you think the murksoul can last long without water?" Lilly asked Mark. Something then lights up in Mark's head as he looked at Lilly in shock "You're right... We can... we can trap it somewhere without water for a long period of time and it might... it might get weaker!" He said quietly.
Everyone looked at each other "Alright, what do we do then?" Edison asked. "We can-" he tried to speak, but the murksoul growls and roars at it enters the hole "Aaaaaaah!!!" Everyone began screaming. "Holy shit!!" George shouted out again. Everyone runs to the corner of the room farthest from the hole "Oh my god!! Please!!! This is not how we die!!" Nugget shouted.
Moises got up "Yeah, you're right" He walked to the murksoul and stood in front of it "I died a different way, not like this"
"Moises, don't be stupid!" Chloe grabs him as the murksoul finally comes through the hole "Aaah!" Everyone yelled out. Chloe and Moises were at the other side of the room as they run into a wall that opens a door made of stone; a camouflage door.
They fell through the door and onto the floor "Guys!!" Chloe shouted "There's a door!" But the murksoul was ready to attack the crowd. "I have to do something!" Clay shouted as he grabs a potion and chucks it to the murksoul. It breaks as the murksoul then gers burned out it, screeching loudly. Everyone else runs around the murksoul and to the door "Run!!!" They yelled. The Izuzunians run through the hallways of the cave and then into a larger cave "What! The!!?" They all stopped and looked around.
It was an even bigger room; not even like a room, but like a huge bunker. The ceiling was about one hundred meters high and there was another huge waterfall that falls down into the underground lake "Woah..." The kids exclaimed. The murksoul screeched while sprinting through the hallways "Oh god!!!" Mark screamed as everyone began sprinting to a random direction.
The murksoul chased behind "I have an idea!!" Mikey shouted. "What's up!!?" Edison shouted back while they run out of breath. "I will turn around and lure the murksoul to me while you guys are at the other side of the hole in that one room we were in! And while I'm luring it, someone can stay in the hallways, ready to close the door once me and the murksoul enter the room!! When they do close it, I will go through the hole as fast as I can and then when I get through, you guys will block the hole with something! Anything!" Mikey shouted.
"Mikey, that's a good idea! But, we cannot let you risk your life!" Edison shouted. "Yeah, so I'll do it!" Clay shouted. "Are you sure, Clay?" Mark asked. "No, but I'm tired of doing nothing, I feel as if I have no reason of being here and I'm useless, so... let me do something useful for once" Clay said. "Alright" Mark said.
ZOIDON, KING'S DOMAIN
At the huge dinner table, the king was feasting on all the food on the table. Chicken, vegetables, steak, even deserts. "King Gishi of the Kingdom of Zoidon" Hyeonin smiled "Nice to meet you"
The king chewed and chewed until swallowing "You may sit down"
Everyone walked to the table to take a seat "Damn, it was that easy to get in the King's domain?" Trini says as she decides to join the rest. "Why are you all here for?" The king asked. "We're here to make an alliance with you" Hyeonin says "We are at war with rebels, stupid, and evil people! They want to take our empire away and remake the government, but I will not let that happen! I will make Izuzunu a better place!"
"Izuzunu?" King Gishi asked in shocked "Wow... the Izuzunians are here, I would've never expected them to visit our nation"
"What do you mean? Your nation has one of the most powerful army, of course we would come to you" Leila added. "Oh, yeah, of course, I forgot" King Gishi said.
"King Gishi, we wish to have you by our side as we fight for the empire of Izuzunu... So, we, the LCIs, asks, will you please start an alliance with us?" Hyeonin asked nicely. Hyeonin had lied to the king about being the LCIs.
The king thought for a moment in his head, letting out a couple of sounds "Hmm... uhm... uhh... hmm..."
The Dominant League crosses their fingers; pleasing to be allied with one of the strongest nation on Kepkury. "Sure" The king smiled as he takes a bite out of a drumstick. Everyone let out a breath "Oh my god!" "Phew!" "Ahh!" They all said. Hyeonin smiled and stood up on the chair "Thank you, King Gishi! We will win the battle against the rebels and make Izuzunu great again, together!!"
King Gishi smiled "Yes, but please call me Gishi, no need for king" He stood up on his chair as well "We will make Izuzunu great again!!!" He shouted to the top of his lungs. "Yeah!!!" Hyeonin shouted as well while Trini and Leila looked at each other "Didn't know the king was chill like that"
CAVES
At the cave, the group hid behind a wall, planning how to do this plan. "Okay, me and Moises will be the ones to close the door and Nugget and 07 will be the ones to cover the hole once Clay gets out, alright?" Mark said.
"Yes" they answered. "What do we do?" Chloe asked. "You guys will wait, we can't risk any of your lives especially how young you guys are" Mark answered. "Hey, we're young too-" Nugget tried to talk, but 07 covers his mouth "Stop!" He shouted quietly like a whispers "Let's do something for once too! I'm with Clay here!"
"Okay, Mark" Chloe said "Be careful, guys"
"We will" Mark answered. "Wait, we should let Moises stay here, since we can't be putting him in danger-" Lilly tried to speak "No... I won't even die" Moises spoke "I'm not gonna die until the war... So, I can go"
"You're right, but knowing you're gonna die later, still do not run into danger either way" Lilly says.
"Yeah, she's right, this is the last time we're putting you at risk" Mark said "Let's get going now, we have to get to our positions before starting"
The group then splits up there while the younger group stayed behind. "I hope they'll be okay" Lilly said. Behind Lilly was Wuhan "Does Mark not know I'm twenty?"
Mark and the rest slowly walked through the hallway without the murksoul spotting them. The murksoul is in the lake, probably regenerating or something. "Alright, get through the hole" Mark said to Nugget and 07. Nugget and 07 crawled through the hole and into the other side "Find something to cover the hole with when the murksoul tries to come out" Mark said.
Mark and Moises walked to their position and happen to find a big rock that they can hide behind in the hallway "Okay, we can hide here, when you're ready, Clay, shout and lure the murksoul into that room. When you're in that room, you should already be crawling through the hole, okay?"
Clay then suddenly forgets that he's claustrophobic "Oh... yeah... I- I... got this" He said as his sentence started breaking up. "Yeah, don't be afraid, Clay, you're fast and brave" Mark says.
Clay began walking away from Mark and Moises "Thanks Mark, I got this" He said in a brave tone "I got this"
At the end of the hallway, Clay inhales as he opens his mouth wide. It was quiet until "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!" He screamed out loud to the top of his lungs "Come out, murksoul!!! Come out, you dumb murksoul!!! Aaaaah!!!"
The murksoul lifts its head up the water and spots Clay at the hallway entrance. The murksoul began growling and screeching as it swims super fast through the water and jumping out the waters. It makes it to the shore and sprints quickly toward Clay. Clay then runs into the hallway "Aaaah!!!" He screamed "Come and get me, bitch!!" He shouted while running. He makes it into the room while jumping into the hole to crawl through.
The murksoul runs through the door as Mark and Moises then worked together to close the heavy door shut. Clay unluckily gets his clothes stuck to a sharp pointy part of the hole as he couldn't move "Aaah!! Guys!! I'm stuck!!! My leg is stuck!!!" He screamed out loud.
"Clay!! Keep pushing through, use your strength!! Hurry!!!" 07 shouted into the hole, but then the murksoul jams its claws into Clay's foot "Aaaaaah!!!" He screamed out loud as the murksoul drags him out of the hole. "Clay!!!" 07 screamed put as Clay falls to the ground. The murksoul rams its sharp claws through Clay's stomach "Aaaaah!!" He screamed in pain "Aaaaah!!"
"Clay!! Clay, no!!!" 07 and Nugget shouted out. Moises and Mark are outside the door, waiting for the murksoul to run out of energy from no water and also hoping Clay got through safely.
"Aaaaah!!" Clay kept screaming as the murksoul bites Clay's left arm off. Blood splattered all over the room as Clay laid in the puddle of his own blood. He kicks the murksoul off and grabbed onto all the potions with his left arm. He began throwing them toward the murksoul as it burns it.
The murksoul gets angrier and angrier as it smacks Clay's head to the wall.
Clay laid on the floor "Ughhh... aahhh..." he said in pain. He grabbed one more potion on the floor "Come get it, bitch..." The murksoul roared as he threw the potion to the murksoul at the same time the murksoul jams its claws into Clay's face. His face was distorted and bloody as the murksoul continued to eat Clay; biting his head, arms, legs, stomach, neck, everywhere.
07 and Nugget was terrified and shocked as they began to cry. They realize that Clay stopped screaming, which meant that he finally had died.
