Phoenix says "Let's move on" he grabs a chair and sits down "Now onto the mission"
"What mission?" the members on the bed says at the same time.
"The rescue mission" Phoenix answers "But... you guys aren't in shape to fight.. So you guys don't really need to hear"
"I want to hear" Moises says with a serious face.
"Alright" Phoenix replied.
RISE OF IZUZUNU
VOLUME 9, CHAPTER 104, SEARCHING OF THE SCI
THE HOSPITAL
"Hm... do you think we have enough to take on a whole Doomgader Base?" Lilly asked.
"Hmm..." Phoenix thought "I don't know.. what do you think, Mark?" Phoenix asked Mark instead.
"I think we need more" he answered "Where is Xuanyu? What happened to him? Did his president term ended?"
"You actually missed a lot, Mark" Chloe laughed nervously "Xuanyu is not on our side anymore"
"Huh? Why not?" he asked.
"We ran into some conflict" Lilly answered "And Xuanyu and his group left all of us"
"Well, let's track them" Mark stood up.
"What!!?" everyone shouted.
"Let's find them" he said, looking at the window "We need more people, right? And we can't trust any Izuzunians anymore? Especially the Dominant League. We should get Xuanyu" Mark added more.
"No, nuh uh, we cannot go meet that bastard again" Chloe says.
"Well, we gave Moises a second chance, did we not?" 07 commented "We also gave Nugget a second chance... What about Xuanyu? He's all we got now"
Chloe looked at everyone "Alright.. fine... I know he's gonna say no anyways"
LATER AT NIGHT
It was night. The moon was crescent as the LCIs head out without letting the Dominant League know they're leaving.
"Do you think we should ask the Dominant League for help?" 07 asked Phoenix.
"No" Phoenix answered "They don't know Edison as much as we do.. The Dominant League is our new enemies"
"How could you say that when Hyeonin, the leader of the Dominant League, made you president?" 07 says.
"That's their fault for making me president" Phoenix says as 07 stops "Oh"
"Chloe, you ready?" Phoenix met them all at the northern border of Izuzunu.
"Yeah" she said as she puts on her helmet.
The LCI was small now, but they need to first find an old friend. That's why they're going north-east rather than south, where Edison is.
The New LCI consists of Chloe, 07, Lilly, George, Phoenix, and Mark. The rest are wounded and need recovery time. So only six members left for now.
"You sure we'll find Xuanyu and them?" Chloe asks.
"I'm sure" Phoenix answers "He left east at old Izuzunu, so I'm sure he'll be somewhere in the desert"
"Okay" Chloe replied.
"Alright, let's go" Mark said as he hopped onto his horse "Today starts a new mission, everyone. Today we will find Xuanyu and convince him to join back with us again. Then.. we'll go save Edison" Phoenix looked up at the sky "Let's just hope he'll last long there.."
THE DOOM BRIGADE BASE
At the Doom Brigade base, Edison sat there in silence as he closes his eyes and remembers.
"Edison" a voice was heard; a female voice "Everything is going to be okay"
He remembers what had happened to him and why they were put there.
His mom died saving Edison's life from the nuking of LA back on Earth "Edison... run..." she said as she coughs out blood.
A huge boulder was on her hole body as she's pinned down "Run" she said again, everytime she talks, the blood squirts out her mouth.
Edison cries as he tells his mother "I love you, mom" he touches her face one last time until full sprinting away.
The nuclear warheads in the sky lands throughout the remains of Downtown LA "Aaaaah!!!" Edison screamed in pain of losing his mother.
Back on Kepkury, in the basement, Edison opens his eyes again as his tears fall "God damn it... Zeithon" he says.
"Zeithon, huh?" A guard says as he opens the cage and walked toward Edison with food.
He punches Edison in the face and then the stomach "Aah!" Edison cried out.
"You're lucky we haven't killed you yet, Edison" the guard says as he unlocks Edison's handcuffed and hands him the tray of food "This is your first meal ever since you've been here, enjoy"
Edison looked at the guard with a smile "Thanks"
The guard didn't care "It was Cole's orders, not mine" he went back and locked the cell "I guess it's a thank from him because you told him where Izuzunu was"
"Yeah.. go away now; let me eat in peace" Edison says with his mouth full of bread and soup.
NOWHERE IN THE DESERT
"Aaaaaaah!!! It's so hot!!!" George shouted out loud.
"Shut up, George! You've been complaining all day!!" Chloe shouted back.
"You shut up!" George yelled.
"Oh shit, Chloe, you gonna let a 10 year old talk to you like that??" 07 laughed.
"Heck nah! I'm beat him up, the hell!?" Chloe looked at George dead in the eyes.
"Guys, calm down, we have company" Phoenix says as Mark begins to wake up from his nap "Wha- what?" he said as he rubbed his eyes.
A group of men with camals walked toward the LCIs from a far.
"Who are they?" Lilly asks.
Phoenix looked closer and squints his eyes "I'm guessing they're villagers"
"Hey, I've seen you guys walked through here from our village over there, are you guys lost?" a man said.
"Uh, yes, do you happen to know where Izuzunu is?" Lilly asked.
"Well which Izuzunu? I heard there are two now" the man says.
"The old one" Phoenix answered.
"Oh.. well I'm actually not sure which one's the old one" the man laughed "I only know them by Hwalshindo Izuzunu and Morichi Izuzunu"
Phoenix turned to Chloe "Hwalshindo Izuzunu is the one we're at right now, right?"
"Yeah" she answered.
Phoenix turned back to the man "Yes, Morichi Izuzunu"
"Well" he points over at west "Straight here, just follow a straight line through there and you'll be there within an hour"
"Phoenix! We past Morichi Izuzunu! That means we just have to head east now, right?" George exclaimed.
"Yes" Phoenix answers as George shouts "Yay!! Let's go!! It's so hot!!" he turned east and began riding.
East is where the desert ends and the new area where the forests are.
"Guys, you guys can come in our village so we can give you guys some cold water" the man smiled "How does that sound?"
"Food too?" Chloe asked.
"Yes" the man smiles.
"Thank god!! I'm so hungry!!" Chloe shouted.
"Fat ass" George says.
THE VILLAGE
The village was located between the desert and the forest which created a pretty unique look "Wow" Chloe says "This place looks nice"
The other members were amazed as well "So cool"
"Yep! We built our village here!" the man smiled "We sing, dance, eat, party, and have festivals almost everyday! It's really fun here!"
Chloe smiled "I bet it is"
The man opens the door of his home "Come in"
They hop off their horses and was about to go in until the man stops them "Wait, you can put your horses in here for them to rest"
It was a barn, but it was cooler in there "Your horses won't heat up in here and our villagers will take care of them and feed them" the man smiled.
"Okay" Phoenix says.
Later inside the house, George drinks a glass of water "Aaah!! Finally!! Something cold!!"
George continued drinking as Chloe then began asking the man a question "So... do you know anybody by the name of Xuanyu?" she asked.
"Xuanyu?" he says "Xuanyu! Oh my god!! You're looking for our leader!? Yes we do! He's actually running a festival right now in the forest side of the village!"
Chloe's face widened as she looked at Phoenix "Well that was easy" George said as he takes a bite of steak.
At the festival, there was music playing, the music was very cultural and tuney. They walked by some people dancing and playing festival games "Wow, this place is amazing" Chloe turned to Lilly "We need something like this in Izuzunu"
"Yes we do" Lilly smiled and laughed.
"Right this way, guys" the man turned toward a crowd dancing and shouts "Xuanyu!! Xuanyu!! You have guests!!"
The crowd stopped dancing as Xuanyu stops too.
The man walked up to Xuanyu and began speaking "They're Izuzunians and they're here for your help"
"Huh-? Izuzunians!?" Xuanyu said as his face was confused.
"Right here, sir" the man points at the LCIs as Chloe walks to the front "Hey... Xuanyu"
Xuanyu then turned around and walks out of the scene "No no no no!! I am not talking to any of you guys!"
Chloe then continued to follow him with 07 "Xuanyu!"
"No!" Xuanyu kept speed walking away while Chloe kept talking "Xuanyu!! This is important, okay!!? We need your help!"
"No, you don't need my help! Leave me alone, you shouldn't be here!!" Xuanyu kept walking turning from street to street.
"Come on, Xuangu! Help us!!" Chloe shouted.
"No! I don't wanna talk to that bastard, Jun, anymore!!" Xuanyu shouted until Chloe shouts "Jun's dead!"
Xuanyu finally stops "He's... dead" she said as her tears began pouring.
Xuanyu slowly turned around in shock. The other members finally arrived.
Xuanyu looked at them all looking sad and depressed.
