RISE OF IZUZUNU
VOLUME 6, CHAPTER 63, TRAPS
XUANYU'S HOUSE, MIDNIGHT
Xuanyu is in the kitchen making a midnight snack for himself because he couldn't sleep. He grabs a huge fish from a basket and places the fish on a cutting board. He stands there for a bit "The new SCI members are strong" He said to himself.
He remembers the strength that Jay showed him back at the arena fighting against Kevi and Loowky "Hyaah!!!" Jay shouted.
He slashes Loowky's back "Aah!!!" Loowky screamed out loud, falling to the ground "That's enough!" Xuanyu shouts "You all are now a part of our group! The SCI!!" He shouts.
In the present, Xuanyu finishes chopping the fish and seasoning it. He gently places the sliced-up fish on the pan "Looks delicious" Rose randomly walks in the room through the window "What the-!!?" Xuanyu shouted.
She laughs and sits on the dining table "What... what are you doing here?" he asks. "I need to talk to you" She answered. "Talk to me about what?" Xuanyu flips the fish. "I need to talk to you about the Blood War" Rose brought out.
"So... is that what they're calling it? Blood War" Xuanyu watches the fish cook while Rose moves a basket of fruits toward her "Yeah"
"Sadly, we're gonna be enemies in the war. We'll be fighting each other" Rose stated. "Why not join my side then??" Xuanyu asked while raising his voice slightly "Why can't you do it??"
"I-... I don't know" She continued "For some reason, I feel like Toast will do something to me if I do," she said. "He won't! I will protect you with my life!" Xuanyu shouted. Rose smiled "I love you, Xuanyu," she said with tears in her eyes "But... I don't want you to die for me"
"I won't! I promise!! Just come with me!! Join the SCI instead of staying with that freak!!!" Xuanyu leaned against the table while yelling.
"I... can't" Rose replied. "If you love me, then you would've done it," Xuanyu says. "This is not why I'm here," Rose said while wiping her tears "It's about another member of the Chaos Team"
"Another member? What about them?" Xuanyu asked. Rose calmed down "Cyclone. I think he's a weird kid. He hasn't been acting normal ever since the LCI killed Leo. I feel like..." She stopped talking; keeping quiet for a few seconds.
"Feel like what?" Xuanyu wanted her to finish. "I feel like Cyclone betrayed the Chaos Team and joined the LCI" She finally said "So that means you'll have to face more members in the LCI"
"Don't worry" Xuanyu said with a serious face "We got this. We have more fighters than those bastards at North Izuzunu" Xuanyu faces Rose "We will kill them all and win the war"
THE NEXT DAY, NORTH IZUZUNU
"And done!" Jun shouted, "We finished making a new house!!"
"So, why did we even make a new house for?" Chloe asked. "It's not just any house" Jun smiled "It's a trap house!! Look, come here!!" Jun walks into the house and around the kitchen with a treasure chest looking chest"
Right when Chloe was about to open it, Jun grabbed her "Stop!"
Chloe shouts back "What!? What is it!?"
"I said this is a trap house, and that treasure chest is a trap!" Jun shouted back. "Oh," Chloe says "Oh, I see, sorry" she smiled; scratching her head. "How does it work though?" Mikey asked.
"I put some copper and some other materials making it into a wire. There is a switch in it, and another wire that is hooked onto the bombs below us. By opening the chest, the wires will be interrupted as the chest moves upward, sparking the metals that I put on the chest as well, making the chest spark onto the wire that connects to the bombs, once it reaches the bombs, it will explode, killing anyone in this house" Jun described.
"Oh... I understand" Chloe said. "What? I don't" Mikey says. "Well, just don't open the chest! That's all we know!" George shouted. "Yeah, let's tell all the LCI members" Jun suggested while walking out of the building with Chloe, Mikey, and George.
"So that's why you built it," Clay says and realizes "But why did you build it right next to my house!!" he shouted. "Oh, shit-" Jun turned around to see Clay's house across the paths "Don't worry, it won't reach" Jun smiled. "Well, can you just help me with my automatic doors?" Clay asked.
"yeah, sure" Jun spoke "You guys can get back to training now," Jun says to the rest of them. "We weren't even training earlier," Quin says. Jun laughs "Well, now you are! Emperor's orders"
"Welp," Angie says "You wanna train with me," she asks Quin. "Sure" Quin answered. Everyone else walks away.
Moments later, a boy walks into the new house with the traps. He walks around until he finds the same chest—a wooden chest with gold surrounding the outlines. "Woah" He reaches for the chest and opens it, making a spark "Wha-!?" it's Cyclone.
"What the fuck!!?" Cyclone shouted as he heard a bomb underground "BOOM! BOOM!" The house blows up into the skies with debris falling all over the landscape.
Jun and Clay flinched while looking at the house "Holy shit!!!" Clay shouted "It fucking worked!! The trap worked!!!" Jun shouted. "Was it not supposed to!!?" Clay shouts back.
Jun watches as the house crumbles to the grounds; smoke covering the pathways and the sky. He watches and sees a figure in the clouds slowly walking towards Jun. "He survived??" Clay asked as Jun pulled out his katana "Let's go check"
As soon as Jun and Clay arrive, they see Cyclone standing before them "Cyclone!!?" Clay shouted. Cyclone coughs with his face covered in dust "What the fuck was that!!?" he shouted at Jun. "It's a trap house! Didn't I tell you that!?" Jun replied. "No!! You never did! You could've gotten me killed!!" Cyclone angrily shouted.
Ren and Cyfty were spotted running towards them with a sword in the smoke "What happened guys!?" Ren shouted. "Nothing," Jun says "We forgot to tell this guy that we set up traps in that house," Jun said while Clay fell to the ground in exhaustion "Well... good thing it didn't destroy my house, phew"
"Yeah, Clay-" Another huge explosion was heard from the distance around Chloe's house "What the fuck!!?" Cyfty shouted out loud.
The huge explosion was covered in gray smoke "Come on! Let's go!" Jun shouted while everyone else follows, including Clay "Holy shit!!!"
When they get there, all they can see are rocks on the ground and a huge crater created by the bombs. "Why was there a trap near my house!?" Chloe ran to Jun.
"No questions," Jun said in a serious tone as he walked down into the crater with the LCI "Where is the person?"
"Right here!" Cyclone shouted. Everyone else runs toward the man on the ground as Jun grabs him by the shirt and shouts "Why are you here!! What are you doing here!!?"
The man coughs up blood "Xuanyu..." he spoke out "Xuanyu told me to tell you to fuck off!"
Ren kicks the dude on the head and moves Jun aside and grabs the guy and pulls him up "You little shit, failed for our trap" he laughs "Why did Xuanyu send you!!"
"You stupid fucking bastard. You think I'll ever tell you!!?" The man laughs. His legs were broken and his left arm was exploded clean off from the explosions.
Jun puts his hands into the guy's wounds "Tell me!!" Jun shouted as the guy screamed in pain "Aaah!!!!"
Jun kicks the guy and slices his legs off "Aaah!!!"
"Tell us!" Ren shouted. "He told us to spy on you guys; loot Northern Izuzunu; grab all of your weapons and armor, especially Chloe's" he looked at Chloe "Her armor is too-"
Jun punches the guy as he falls to the ground "Kill him" Jun said to Cyfty. "No, please!!" The man yelled out loud "Please! I'll do anything! Please!!"
Cyfty stabs the man in the eyes through his head. The man died instantly as the LCI members began walking away. Jun stood there looking at his lifeless body. He remembers the time in the Wood War when he couldn't kill Moises. Suddenly, he begins kicking the dead body and stabbing it while grunting "I'm more powerful than you know... I am!!!" He shouted.
Jun was crouched; thinking about all his failed moments as he began laughing hysterically.
