Emma Moore was a month away from 16 years old when her life turned for the worst. March 7th.... her mother picked her up from school to head to court. She seemed upset and Emma brushed it off saying everything would fine.... Little did she know, her mother knew what was happening. Emma was a troubled teen and skipped school. She got into trouble and was in the wrong crowd.
"Mrs. Moore we are ordering Miss Moore be put into state custody.. She will be placed in a foster home in Whitesville" the judge announced.
"Are kidding me, you can't fucking do this!" Emma snapped.
"Miss Moore it seems to me that you are talking out of context and act just like your father" the judge spoke....
Emma never met her biological father. He didn't want her. She was going meet him a few years prior but he died of a drug and alcohol overdose. Her Steph father took car ride her since she was 2 years old. Not able to even say bye to her parents they pulled her out of the court room and Emma thought it was a joke. They had her handcuffed and shackled. The ride was long. 2 hours.. Her wrists and ankles were hurting by time they arrived at the foster home. It was such a small town maybe just 1 mile long. Everyone seen a Sheriff vehicle and was watching. They didn't take the handcuffs and shackles off right away.. They waited until they walked in the house.
Emma was lost. She thought it was all a dream. All she wanted was to be home with her family. She knew she messed up big time. She cried for days. She couldn't sleep. She had a hard time adjusting to change and not being able to talk to her mother. She didn't know what to do...
Finally about a week later she started school. Nervous as it was such a small town and after what she went through she didn't know what people would think of her as the foster parents were well known and news travelled fast. She did make some friends, although she didn't feel like she fit in much. The other girls were very high maintenance, preppy and thought they were better than others... Emma had dyed hair and piercings. She made a few friends and stuck with them for a bit as she didn't know them. They weren't the type of girls she was used to hanging out with but she knew she had to do what she was told.
