Chapter 3 - Tama's first day working at Villa

On the first day after signing the contract, Tama starts working as Kirana's slave. He swept the villa yard, took out the trash, and watered the plants. After he finished everything, he saw the swimming pool in the villa which looked dirty. Tama took the initiative to clean the pool. He went to get a net that he would use to pick up the leaf litter that was scattered over the pond.

He had found the net, then he took the net and rushed to clean the pool. As he was walking towards the pond, Mr. Udin stopped his steps.

"Hey, where are you going?", asked Mr. Udin.

"I want to clean the pool, sir, it looks very dirty". Tama answered.

"No, the pool belongs to the Princess, she forbids anyone to come near the pool". Mr. Udin said firmly.

"Oh, fine then"

After hearing Mr. Udin's advice, Tama finally returned to save the net that he had previously brought.

It was noon, Kirana met Tama and asked him to go to the workshop.

"Workshop? Do you have a car?" Ask Tama.

"Sure, I'm the king's daughter, how can I don't have any car?" Kirana replied.

Kirana takes Tama to her Garage. There was her chariot. Tama was surprised after seeing it. How can he bring the golden carriage to the workshop? Then Kirana turned the golden carriage into a sports car.

"Wow, that's really cool," said Tama.

"Yes, right? so let's call me princess" Kirana orders.

"Oh no lah". Tama said.

"Watch out, I'll kill you", Kirana said who was scaring Tama into obeying Kirana.

Then they went to the workshop. They both turned as humans. Apart from the full moon, they can still turn into humans, but only for a short time.

Arriving at the workshop, Kirana introduced Tama to the owner of her regular workshop.

"Oh yes sir, this is Tama, my new secretary". Kirana said.

"Wow, he's still young and handsome".

"Ah, thank you for the compliment," said Tama.

Then the repair shop owner asked his mechanic to check Kirana's car. Kirana and Tama sat and talked while waiting for the car to be repaired. Suddenly, Tama remembered what Mr. Udin had said forbidding him to clean the pool. Then Tama asked Kirana about it.

"By the way, the pool in the villa, why can't it be cleaned?" asked Tama.

"Pool? stupid, did you take a bath there?", asked Kirana.

"No, Mr. Udin forbids me".

Then Kirana said that the pool was the root of the curse she received. Anyone who swims in the pool will turn into a snake demon like him. Tama is very curious about Kirana's life story. But Kirana did not want to tell in detail.

When Tama and Kirana are in the workshop. Devan, who is Tama's best friend, stopped his car in front of the repair shop to pick up the phone. After finishing talking on the phone, Devan accidentally saw Tama sitting with a woman.

"Oh, isn't that Tama?" Devan said.

Because Devan was shocked and scared, he called Ara and told her that he had met Tama. Then Ara asks Devan to take a picture of Tama. After that, Devan hung up his phone and took a picture of Tama. But Kirana realizes that Devan has photographed Tama.

"The one in the car, that's your friend right?" Ask Kirana.

"That's right, he is Devan", said Tama.

"He's so presumptuous, how dare he took picture of my slave, should I kill him?" asked Kirana.

"Eh, don't do it!!.... He's my best friend".

Finally, Kirana uses her magic to delete Tama's image on Devan's Cell phone.

Devan goes to a cafe to meet Ara. He ran until his breath heard by Ara. He looked tired from running because he couldn't wait to tell Ara about picture that he took before. He took out his cell phone and showed Ara a photo.

"Where's the Tama?" asked Ara.

"That's, ra! He is a man who is sitting with ladies and gentlemen"

"Which one?"

Devan tried to enlarge the picture he took earlier, but there was no Tama picture. There was only Kirana who was sitting alone.

"It's very strange, even though Tama was here. How could it be gone" said Devan.

"Hah, you are reckless, so let Tama rest in peace" said Ara.

"But there was Tama, I believe that"

Ara doesn't want to hear Devan's story anymore, she feels that she has wasted her time just listening to Devan's jokes. Finally, Ara left Devan.

Devan was still shocked by what he had just experienced that day. Not long after, Devan also left the cafe and went home. From a distance, it turns out that Kirana and Tama are observing them.

"Good looks! That's like my magic has worked". Kirana said.

"Magic?"

Hearing the word "magic" made Tama think of Nadia. Then he said to himself that he wanted to have magic that could make Nadia fall in love with him. Tama's desire to learn magic is noticed, then Kirana teases him

"You have to be cursed before you can have magic" Kirana said.

Kirana stood up and met the owner of the workshop, she asked to the owner of workshop if her car had been repaired, then the owner of the workshop said that everything had been repaired and the car could be brought home. Finally, Kirana and Tama returned to the Villa.

On the way back to the Villa, the weather that day was very hot and made Kirana thirsty. She asked Tama to buy an ice doger on the side of the road. Ice doger is traditional street food made by ice with toping avocado, coconut, and black sticky rice. Tama got out of the car and went to the ice doger seller. The ice seller is looked like an older man.

"Helo, I want buy for 2"

"Ok, wait a minute"

The ice seller gave the ice doger in a plastic cup. But the behavior of the ice seller was very suspicious. He gave Tama a knitting bracelet, it was a token of gratitude from the ice seller because Tama was his first customer that day.

"This is a small gift for you, because you are my first customer today"

"Oh, thank you very much"

Tama got into the car and gave one cup of ice doger to Kirana. But Kirana saw the bracelet that Tama was wearing. Then she questioned it.

"What is in your hand?"

"Oh, this, this is from the ice seller" said Tama.

"Next time don't like to recklessly accept things from people". Kirana advised him.

But Tama instead teases Kirana and says that Kirana is too careful because she loves her servant. Kirana finally felt annoyed with Tama. She drove his car fast.

It was getting dark. The stars began to scatter. Tama observes the moon and stars from the front of his room. He said to himself, "I haven't seen a star in a long time". Not long after, Tama entered his room and fell asleep. When he fell asleep, he dreamed of Kirana again.
