Chapter 4 - Beat Him Up

Looking at Shang Xitong who was sitting in front of her desk, Su Chen had the urge to slap him away. Especially when that man kept talking to Shang Xitong, but Shang Xitong did not even look at him.

It was obvious that she did not want to bother with this man, but he still smiled obsequiously as he spoke.

"There's a man across from your mother who's hitting on her," Su Chen said through gritted teeth to the other end of the phone.

"What's going on?"

Shang Yixin was furious. "Mr. Su, go and beat him up. Don't hold back!"

"Uh…"

Su Chen was a little helpless and didn't know what to say. Did he look like a violent person?

However, he still walked towards Shang Xitong.

Everyone could tell that Shang Xitong did not want to communicate with that guy. Now was the perfect time for him to save the damsel.

When Su Chen walked over to Shang Xitong, the man opposite her was clearly unhappy.

However, Shang Xitong still raised her eyes from the computer and looked at Su Chen.

Because of her facial beauty, when she looked at him, she made him feel as if even the sun outside paled in comparison to her.

Although he could feel the gazes of the students around the self-study room, he still said to Shang Xitong, "Do you want a latte? I just bought a latte."

Although he was very nervous, his expression was very calm. No one could see the panic in his heart.

Hearing this, Shang Xitong was stunned.

"What?"

An indignant and doubtful voice came from the side. Then the man looked at him with unfriendly eyes.

"Can't you see that we are chatting? Don't you know that this is very rude?"

Su Chen didn't care at all. After all, he didn't know this person. He just kept looking in Shang Xitong's direction while feeling extremely nervous.

After all, there were so many people watching him.

Shang Xitong's eyes went to the latte in Su Chen's hand. With a slight smile, she raised her slender fingers to take the latte from Su Chen's hand and put it to her mouth for a light sip.

Gasps could be heard all around. A few seconds later, the entire study room became noisy.

After all, no one had expected that Shang Xitong would really accept the latte. Everyone was waiting for Shang Xitong to reject him with an excuse.

It was as if the entire self-study room had seen an extraterrestrial creature as they discussed.

Ever since Shang Xitong entered City H's Medical University, she had maintained her reputation as the school belle. No one had been able to rival her for such a long time.

Furthermore, up till now, Shang Xitong had never accepted any gifts from any guys and no guys had ever been able to get close to her. Her usual social circle was only limited to female classmates and roommates.

But what just happened?

Did the sun rise from the west? Or did a meteorite hit the earth? Did aliens invade the earth?

Shang Xitong actually accepted a latte, and it was a gift from a boy!

Shang Xitong did not accept sports cars, diamonds, and flowers. Instead, she accepted a mere latte.

The entire self-study room was filled with these people's discussions. No one was studying anymore. In fact, not only were the boys discussing, but the girls were also gossiping non-stop.

"Who is this? Why isn't he familiar?"

"This is too impressive. Wooing the school belle only requires a latte!"

"Why didn't anyone tell me that Shang Xitong can be taken down with a cup of latte?"

"What's going on? Are they gonna go out?"

"Does Shang Xitong like to drink lattes? Why didn't anyone say so?"

"I think I've seen this man before!"

Everyone looked at him, waiting for him to reveal his identity.

"Who is it?"

Seeing that the other party had not said anything, someone spoke up and asked.

"He seems to be called Su Chen, a clinical medicine major in our school."

"I think it's him. I heard that a professor in our school is his aunt."

"Yes, that's him. We're still sending our resumes around like headless flies. I heard that he has already had his internship at the City People's Hospital confirmed."

"That's right. He seems to be in the first batch of interns recently."

At this moment, the self-study room administrator shouted.

"Quiet, everyone. What are you arguing about? If you want to talk, go outside. This is the study room."

"You can continue. I'm going back."

Although Su Chen was prepared for Shang Xitong to accept the latte, when it really happened, his heart still pounded.

Therefore, he could only pretend to be calm and bid farewell to Shang Xitong.

"Okay."

Shang Xitong did not urge him to stay. She turned around and left the self-study room. She did not give the cocky boy who was sitting at the side a single look.

She did not care at all.

After all, they were no longer on the same level.

"Sh*t, how did I forget about that flirting technique?"

Su Chen, who had just left the study room, was chagrined as he walked.

If he had known earlier, he would not have come out so quickly. He did not even have the chance to use his unique skill. He could only blame himself for being too focused on showing off and forgetting everything.

"Hehehehe."

Shang Yixin's melodious laughter came from the other end of the phone. "Dad, you're really stupid. Uh, there's no more battery. My phone is about to be turned off."

Beep beep beep…

The sound of the line being occupied came from the Bluetooth earpiece.

Su Chen: "Uh ..."

Facing the phone screen, Su Chen looked at the dialog box between himself and Shang Yixin and pondered.

He felt like he was dreaming today. So many unbelievable things had happened to him. But no matter what, since it was given to him, he had to make good use of it.

As for what would happen in the future, he would take it one step at a time.

Was it important for students to graduate and intern? Did they have to intern?

All college students faced this problem before they graduate.

In the first three years of university, students had been burdened by their studies and could not catch their breath. They had to study hard before they could graduate.

When they thought about how they were about to enter society and work in a hospital, they wanted to enjoy their last moments. They even wanted to let themselves go completely. Every day, they only wanted to play games, watch dramas, and watch videos.

They all had such assurance because they were undergraduates at a prestigious university.

His grades in school were considered outstanding, so there was no need for him to rush to find a job. When he graduated, he would definitely have a pile of job offers to choose from.

This resulted in a vicious cycle.

However, there was a common saying, "Don't be afraid of people who are smarter than you, but be afraid of people who are smarter than you and work harder than you."

Therefore, during the Human Resources interview process, they would pay more attention to the students' personal qualities, abilities, and internship experience.

It was not like the past, where they judged everything based on academics.
