Laura's sudden question caught Arya, who had wandered deep into her thoughts, causing her to stutter.
"Huh?! Oh, Sir…I mean Amaris, sorry Mari, yes, Mari…isn't home." Arya reacted as she pouted and reclined on the couch like a deflated ball.
"What?! But he doesn't leave the house except if he's with you." Laura straightened to look at Arya more closely. Observing her pout and unsatisfied expression, alarm bells rang in her mind.
"Arya Isabella Jenkins! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Laura asked sternly.
"Nana! Why do you keep defending him?! You didn't even ask what HE did yet you immediately blamed me for it!"Arya defended herself as she folded her arms against her chest in defiance.
"You will mind how you speak to me, young lady. Don't take my lenience over the years for granted!" Laura scolded harshly causing Arya to shrink into her seat as she murmured, "I'm sorry grandma."
