Chapter 1 - Planekiller

"Go! Go! GO! All of you through the planar portal! Now!", a booming voice amplified with magic resounded throughout the hall. It was a compelling voice that belonged to a man with trimmed blonde hair and a chiseled face. The blue eyes that watched a dozen youths in mages' robes were tearing up, not wanting to leave the students they'd been watching for over a decade.

A deep rumbling resounded throughout the magic tower. One resembling an army of soldiers marching, but this wasn't any ordinary army. This was the paladin army of the god Meceth, Ruler of time.

***

The war for the position of Supreme Deity had been fought over for many many millennia over the course of many gods' lifetimes. It was a position held by one singular god that held high control over all laws and the entire plane.

For the gods, mages have always been like a fly in a room. Always there, reminding you of its existence while you aren't able to get rid of it. An annoying bug.

Mages had, throughout history, brought down many gods, stolen divinity, and committed genocide against nations of believers. This naturally made the gods hate mages even more from the fact that mages didn't even worship any gods, even the god of magic itself.

A portal appeared outside of a tall and grand city over 2 kilometers across. One that was once flourishing and beautiful, now rumble and burning.

"I beg for mercy, I pledge my soul to the great god Meceth!"

"Please don't kill my family!"

"Don't hurt me plea..."

*SLASH*

The troops of the Church of Meceth were slaughtering the citizens for being heretics of the church. Merely for being part of a mage's city. This was the highest crime that a god could dish out in the mortal realm, one that could even topple empires and entire alliances.

The city of Xaeverich was the last remaining bastion for the mages of humanity, elves, dwarves, etc and also the last remaining barrier for the gods to truly rule the plane with their followers.

"YOU ARE ALL INSANE! WHY DO YOU ALL SERVE A BEING THAT ISN'T TRULY IMMORTAL! DOES THEIR WILL ALLOW YOU TO REMAIN SANE IN THE "HOLY MASSACRES" THAT YOU CARRY OUT!", a pained scream echoed from above the city, the voice of Aldin Xaeverich echoed above the divine army, "HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING YOU HAVE KILLED COUNTLESS MEN, CHILDREN, AND WOMEN!"

The powerhouses on the ground from the church looked in the direction of the mage and instantly flew up to his location, blinded by their devotion and swung their swords condensed from pure divine energy down. But as they were only basic legends, going up against a top tier legendary ranked mage wasn't the smartest idea. Immediately heads flew off their bodies with a simple [Wind Slash]. The fast-moving mass of condensed wind sharpened to a point easily cut through the shining mithril armour of the church's legendary paladins.

Struck with righteous devotion for his people Aldin raised a bright golden barrier around himself and raised his arms into the air to collect all his mana for the strongest spell he knew, [Enhanced Grand Meteor]. A swirling mass of red and blue appeared in the air forming a purple magic formation as large as the city itself. The complicated runes and patterns and the formidable aura preceded an effect similar to facing a [Dragon's Aura]. Not a single person could move a muscle, sensing their inevitable doom. Their eyes were bulging and seemed like they were about to burst into a puddle of gushing blood.

All beings below the level of saint were immediately brought to their knees with their faces stuck towards the glowing formation as if they were facing a grand being far above a god.

In the outer reaches of the endless void a small sub-plane over 50,000 times the size of the city it was being cast on suddenly tripled in size due to a heavy infusion of mana turning into a secondary plane while also attracting other nearby sub-planes to orbit itself.

With a massive blow of spatial energy and a shockwave of mana big enough to shake planes millions of kilometers away, they disappeared.

Above the rubble of the city, a large black spot appeared in everyone's vision like one of the stars in the sky came down and blinded everyone and everything. Once everyone's vision cleared, a large mass of rock with what seemed to be small cities and one could even seem to hear the small screams of whatever beings lived on the grand landmass and the ones surrounding it.

These were the planes pulled by the magic of Aldin. It was Forbidden magic that was the secret development of the mage. His magnum opus, his piece de resistance, his masterpiece. The plane quickly moved to the ground at a speed of 10km/s, it would crash down in 2 minutes to murder every last god and person on the plane.

***

After 2 minutes...

Aldin was still floating in the air visibly drained, his skin snow-white, eyes sunken, and was coughing up blood every so often. This formation was a magic that's fueled on the fate, talent, and potential of the caster. All of the future achievements would end the moment the spell was to be cast, the only fate of the caster to be a wisp of mana.

In front of the spell, any being would die, even gods. This spell was aimed at the gods of Niezn the primary plane that was the home to trillions of intelligent beings.

At this moment Aldin had become a Planekiller.

***

At the moment the plane touched the ground a massive explosion of rocks and minerals exploded outwards, the shockwave carried throughout the entire plane causing massive casualties instantaneously. All the gods looked down upon the shattered plane and then at the severely weakened Aldin and all had the thought that if they were going down, so was he.

A large amount of energy spontaneously appeared in front of him, piercing into his chest, destroying the last vestiges of a dispersing mana core. With it ripped to shreds Aldin was killed and turned to a mere twinkle of grey mana. A mere relic of the once sky blue ocean of mana that once resided within Aldin.

The bodies of trillions float endlessly throughout the endless void. The remains of a world forgotten, a world gone, not recorded in history. Just another dead plane floating in the endless cosmos, lost forever.
