Chapter 1 - Diamond

Paris, France 8:50pm

The night was coming on the city, the crowd passed by both sides of her beautiful little body without stopping. Covered in animal leather and their fur to keep warm in the low temperatures that she faced at the time. Going home after work, tired, feeling how the cold caressed her face and played with her hair with every step. Listening to hers own footsteps in the snow like a monotony, because it happened every day in the winter. Even though she was used to it, she couldn't bear to listen to other's conversations or see their faces.

For some reason she hated the idea of being around people, engaging in unnecessary conversations, and pretending to be someone who was not at all. She stopped, that night she wasn't acting as usual. Her heart felt agitated, it was not normal. She was not scared of that fact but she wanted to understand her body in those moments and why she reacted that way.

People passed her as if she didn't exist, that office skirt suffocating her to the point where she wanted to undress right there. For a second everything around her stopped, she lifted her sapphire gaze to find a pair of rubies twisting her. Only a second was enough for that clash of gazes. From the top of the Paris tower, golden hair stood out in the artificial light.

"Am I freaking out?"

She thought, in a blink everything was back to normal. Confused, she looked back at the same place after turning her gaze to the surroundings. She was confused and the heat that emanated from her body was strange and uncontrollable.

At nine o'clock at night she was already home, she felt like she was suffocating while getting on the elevator. Her long jet black hair hit her lower back lightly with each hurried step she took to reach the door after reaching her floor. Terrified to think that only her apartment was there, on the top floor of the remaining seventy-four. Luckily no one could break that door, at least no ordinary human. Her fingerprints and code were necessary to unlock the heavy door that would lead to a penthouse.

In light steps she got rid of her clothes in the very entrance as soon as she closed the door behind her and activated the alarm. In her underwear she walked to the kitchen until she was behind her bar, once there she grabbed a crystal glass and poured herself ice and whiskey. The ice danced in the drink turning it into a comfortable temperature for her body heat. She had never wanted a drink of that whiskey more than that day. She walked to her living room, that place looked like a small version of what would be a Victorian mansion.

Her furniture made of blood red corduroy fabric, embroidered in gold, a modern Victorian-style glass table where some supernatural books that she liked so much rested along with profiles and folders of criminals and cases still unsolved. She rested her drink on the glass while she opened those in her hands, going over all that information again. She knew everything by heart but was strict about her job or perhaps too addicted. Without noticing it, she had drunk the entire bottle and the ice that kept her drink cold had completely disappeared. She raised her gaze to observe the antique clock that hung on her wall, it gave off a monotonous sound with each passing second.

Her eyelids began to weigh, it was time to sleep. If successful, she could rest for at least two hours before getting ready to go to work again at six in the morning. She lifted her body almost without strength from the furniture and began to walk to her room when she stopped on her tracks. Next to her door a table where she rested her weapon did not go unnoticed, embracing it with her hands she quickly directed her gaze with the Winchester in front of her face aiming at her target. A shadow in the kitchen hallway near the entrance altered her senses, she cautiously kept her distance from her target and without changing her gaze, she took three steps backwards. Behind her there was only the giant window which the artificial light of the city passed through. Besides that, nothing else was lit because she enjoyed the darkness as if she had been born to be there.

"Who is there? With your hands raised, lie on the ground or I will be forced to shoot."

Without answer that shadow had disappeared alerting her senses. She ran to hide behind the door of her room and locked it. She was not afraid, in her years of experience in service she had never missed a shot, she breathed calmly while, without lowering the weapon at any time, she watched as they tried to open the door without success.

Still staring at the door in front of her, she suddenly began to tremble with fear, it was the first time she felt that way. Behind her back, claws stroked her hair and back. She froze but her instincts made her turn around and open fire. Behind her a creature met her gaze.

What looked like the countenance of a tall man, claws in his hands and fangs that threatened her. A sweet scent made her fall to her knees in front of the intruder, the same only inches from her and her neck opened he's mouth when suddenly a supernatural force pulled hem away from her. Before she was unconscious on the ground she could make out a familiar countenance, but nothing more. In the arms of Morpheus she had fallen feeling the sunlight caress her white body.

The alarm seemed to ring in the distance in her consciousness, her phone would not stop ringing beginning to feel uncomfortable because of the repetitive sounds of the devices that did not let her sleep. To her misfortune, the image of that monster crossed her mind, affecting her sleep, which caused her to wake up suddenly feeling how the air was escaping out of her chest. With her hand on her chest and her weapon pointed straight ahead, shaken and sweaty from such a nightmare. She then got up as fast as she could, looked at the alarm clock that would not stop ringing until with a strong slap on it finally stop and everything became silent.

She looked at her room, she was sure that she had shot whatever had invaded her privacy. She then walked to the left wall of her room that faced her door from the bed and was surprised to see no trace of her weapon. She stroked the wall, that dream was vivid. She remembered the time on her alarm clock and on a weary sigh she headed to the bathroom to get ready but instead decided to check, just to be sure she wasn't hallucinating.

A knock on her door completely caught her attention, only her boss and best friend had access to that floor. Still in her underwear she walked to the door to open it, meeting to pairs of yellow eyes and white hair. A tall man about seven feet tall was looking at her seriously. She snorted before speaking to him.

"What? Can't I be late for work for the first time in my life?"

The man invited himself inside ignoring his partner completely. Once inside, he looked at the table with papers and the empty whiskey bottle.

"Are you with someone here?"

He asked to next sit on the furniture behind the folders and the unsolved cases.

"If I had been with someone, I don't think they would have let you in. What is the honor of your visit?"

She answered and asked walking again to the bathroom, turning on the shower and then starting to bathe. The man got up from the seat and leaned his shoulder on the threshold of the bathroom door.

"I came here because you weren't answering me."

The woman laughed still showering to reply mockingly.

"Oh dear, don't be so jealous it was just a nightmare. I thought I was crazy but in the end it was just that, a silly nightmare."

She did not hear any response from the man who silently returned to sit where he was before, taking one of the folders out of the others and placing it on top of the others as if it were the most important of the rest. When she finished showering, she turned off the tap, dried her body and then left with a towel covering her body from the bathroom while drying her hair with another one. In front of that man there were no barriers because they have known each other since childhood. The trust was such that she would give her life for him and vice versa. The only thing that made it different was his little reaction to seeing her in little clothes, as if he didn't fully enjoy the sight.

Well, any man wanted her, a slim woman with beautiful curves and long jet black hair reaching her lower back. Smooth and silky with a mysterious sapphire look and almost cherry lips. It was totally irresistible, it looked like a porcelain doll. But still the man didn't seem to have any interest or so she thought.

"We have the culprit in this case, last night around eleven o'clock we caught him in a bar and the little girl he had kidnapped we were able to rescue and put her save. One less nightmare."

He spoke at last raising his gaze to immediately look back for the first time seeing her in such a way.

"Oh ... what is this?"

Said the woman who sat next to the man who was still avoiding her gaze.

"I'm happy for the girl but your not looking at me now catches my attention."

She scoffed as if the man's blush were the funniest thing in the world.

"We have to go to work ... don't forget I'm still your boss."

She smiled, she seemed to have completely forgotten that terrible nightmare.

"But Azazel... you seem to have a problem."

Finally he looked at her, that look seemed to want to pierce his consciousness.

"Cas... I'm a man. It's normal, tell me more about that nightmare you had."

He changed the subject, the woman bit her lips now avoiding his gaze and hugged him feeling how her body began to tremble with fear. It was the first time she felt so helpless. Azazel raised Cas's gaze to meet his. Tears gathered in her eyes. Azazel stroked her back until he felt something strange there.

"Cas? Let me see your back for a second."

He requested, the confused woman got up and did what he ordered. Slowly Azazel pushed Cas's hair aside to find claw marks on her back. From her neck, to her lower back, to end right on her hips.

"What I have? "

She asked, Azazel was silent for a few seconds. He analyzed the body of her partner and that mark. They had found her and now he had to take her away from there, again.

"Have you thought about where you want to go on your vacation?"

He asked as he turned her around to meet those sapphires again.

"You know I don't like wasting my time."

She answered, still confused but totally calm.

"There is a case that will attract your attention, we can go there tonight. But it is a long trip to the Caribbean, the difference in time and temperature will please you."

He interrupted without taking his gaze off her sapphires. Cas went away to go to her room, inside her huge closet with mirrors on each wall she could see it, that scar seemed to be there for years, without bleeding, just in there like a memory.

"It can't be real."
