Null waved his hand and Tanyth just disappeared. "Fine, but he will stay in his room until we decided what to do with him". Null believed that the prince deserved death but also knew he had to learn to show restraint.
Chris was frustrated with the turn of events. He just wished the boys' could be less impulsive or at least tell him in advance. "Okay, but how are we going to negotiate with the station?, they don't speak solar standard and we don't have the communication implant that Tanyth was using. They won't be able to understand us"
"Jania and I both speak machine standard. Littleman taught us". Infy was confused, Chris should have known that.
"But if you start speaking machine standard, it will raise questions we don't want to answer that's why we were going to use the elf prince. The plan was to get in, get the information and leave" answered Chris.
Jania was getting impatient and was also angry at being kept in the dark about what had happened to the Arkship. It was clear that Chris had known and she knew it would have been his idea not to tell everyone. "Let them ask, let's just get going. I'm sure the Valtaui Collective knows what our ship looks like". She had stressed the word Collective to remind Chris that they had a hive mind.
Kikei walked over and hugged Chris surprising everyone including Chris. "Chris I know you are worried about your mum, but I promise we will return to her. Now you need to start concentrating as you are supposed to be our plans guy but your head is elsewhere and it shows"
Chris didn't think his plans were that bad but in retrospect, they could have been better. Overlooking Infy being a tier 3 race, forgetting they spoke machine standard and other careless errors had made them less than optimal. He wasn't sure if Kikei was right and that he was being distracted by the life left behind on Ollhelian but he knew he had to do better.
Chris took a deep breath. "Thank you Kikei, I will do better I promise". Chris was talking to the 2 girls hoping to come up with a plan when Infy spoke for the first time in a while "We have been denied permission to enter Agora and the Valtaui are going to take Tanyth as well"
Chris was first to react "But we haven't even contacted them"
"They contacted us as we entered the system and we've been negotiating. They have said since we don't have a patron we can't enter the station. They also scanned and found the prince and he negotiated for his release".
Before any of them could respond a familiar voice could be heard in the room
"oh, oh what do we have here. I was contacted as an unregistered Angel tried to gain access to Agora and what do I find? a couple of escapees. Oh we have a new member..ahh it's human how boring"
"Piss off Phosphoros" Null did not the patient to deal with this guy today
"Ah make me, defective one, oh that right you can't as your shields have to be down to be scanned by the Valtaui. Anyway what brings you to Agora"
"We need to locate Sinelux to rescue Null and Infy dad" Kikei placed her hands over her mouth. She had no idea why she spoke, or why the person in front of her was so charming.
Phosphoros couldn't stop laughing. "oh that's too good. You think, you can find the location of the Angel secret prison planet here? Oh I knew humans were stupid but Infinity I expected better"
"What do you want?" asked Chris he knew that Phosphoros wouldn't have shown himself without a reason.
"You need information, and I have a mission I need doing its win, win"
"Like we would do anything for you, I say again Piss off" Null wished he could just send this spirit projection packing.
Phosphoros became serious and everyone could tell he was different.
"You would do well to listen. Think about it, what problem do Sariels experiments and my demon have?"
Jania surprisingly had the answer. "They don't have a soul"
"Exactly, I and Sariel aren't that different we just want to have children. Infinity here is the closest any angel has come to reproducing since God so graciously uplifted us" they could all feel the contempt in those words. To the others, it started to become clearer what Phosphoros motives might be.
Infy spoke up for the first time."But I don't have a soul either, I'm just using Null soul so I'm just like your demons. How could we help you?"
"There is a planet where the inhabitants are rumoured to be so skilled in the soul field that they can reincarnate themselves at will and can choose which souls are to re-enter the cycle. This planet used to belong to the spiritual faction but has since had a falling out with the paragon. They have used an unknown method to isolated themselves from the galaxy."
Chris knew where this was heading. "You want us to go and visit this planet and do what exactly?"
"Find a way on to the planet. I believe your unique abilities might help where ours have failed. Once on the planet request and an audience with the leader and ask them if it would be possible to give a soulless creature a soul and if so learn the method"
Null was still shocked by Infy statement before and answered immediately. "We will do it", he had hoped that they might find some answer for Infy.
"Very well, I will send you the coordinates soon and if you succeed I will help you locate Sinelux, but note I don't even know its location".
After Phosphoros left, everyone just sat around quietly for a bit.
"I'm sorry, I don't know why I told him about Sinelux," said Kikei.
"Don't worry about it Kikei he has some sort of charm ability, it works on us as well but we have met him several times now" replied Jania. She was still processing the whole conversation and trying to work out if Phosphoros had any other motives.
"I think me and Infy should go by ourselves. I was the one to volunteer for it, and we don't know what dangers will be there. I'm sure I could arrange for you to stay with Vark" Null didn't believe it was right to risk their lives over something that could be a trap.
Kikei looked into Null eyes for a while and slowly came to a conclusion. "No, we will go with you, whatever the dangers are, we will face them together. You don't need to protect us, this is important to you and Infy so it is important to us."
"She is right, we will go with you. Don't think we don't understand your reasoning for going. Either answer you get, you will need support." Chris understood they were going to see if they could get a soul for Infy. He was worried about either answer. If Infy got a new soul it would fundamentally change who he was, if he doesn't get a new soul he would have to deal with the reality of the situation.
They had received the coordinates from Phosphoros they checked that everyone was ready. Everyone got into their battlesuits. They had hoped not to use them but they were going into the unknown and wanted to be prepared.
Null teleported them to the new location.
