"Dad!" Andrew exclaimed.
"Hahaha! I'll take... You with me... At least." Before we can stop the man, he stabs himself.
"Dad! Hang in there!" Andrew shakes his father. A bullet leaves no impression on his shirt but he was without a doubt hit.
"Andrew... Don't cry my boy." His father says as he reaches out his hand for Andrew. "You're a strong boy, just like your mom. You'll be fine."
"Dad! Hang in there!" Andrew cries.
"You have friends who will support you and someone who'll never forsake you." His father continues with ragged breathes. "So you have to keep fighting. For their sake."
"Um, I hate to interrupt but Vi=rus has absolutely no effect on normal people." I stated and the two look at me.
"Eh?!" The two exclaimed.
"Vi=rus only has one effect. Nullify the Vi in our bodies, Non-Braves have no Vi in their body." I stated. "The Vi in the body of a normal person has no purpose, so even if they lose it there's no effect on their bodies."
"Then, my Dad will be fine?" Andrew asked and I smiled.
"Aside from feeling the pain of being hit by a bullet he'll be okay." I smiled.
"Then we'll arrest these men." Ethan stated as he disarmed the men and cuffed them.
"Medusa's Embrace." Van casts a spell on the men, the spell prevents them from talking or resisting.
We head out of the basement to the hallway where Theo and the others have arrested all the people.
"Mission complete." Adonis smiled and I answered with a smile.
"Well then, we'll give you two time." I answered as I patted the others shoulder. "I'll contact Seiji-san."
----
Arata leaves me and my Dad alone, the two of us head to the window to have a quick chat.
"Andrew, remember what I told you before we were attacked?" He asked.
"Yeah." I answered as I recalled.
The two of us were heading to Mom's grave, the two of us were silent for the most of the trip but when we arrived at the graveyard, I couldn't stop myself from saying so many things to Mom.
About my new family, my new friends, my new life and of course about Arata. I told her she didn't have to worry about me anymore because I have someone I wanted to protect more than anyone else. A reason to no longer be reckless, a person that has filled a big hole in my heart.
After that, my Dad handed me a gift. It was a wrist watch, it was black, so cool and looked strong.
"Your Mom picked it out for you, she wanted to give it to you on your eighteenth birthday but I never did get the chance to." He state. "I know it's long overdu but I hope you'll accept it."
"Thanks Dad." I answered.
"One more thing, you've grown up now so I think I can tell you about it." He says. "You're mother used to say this a lot."
"What did she say?" I asked.
"A Real Hero isn't someone who simply protects the weak." He says. "It's the one who would risk everything for someone that has the right to be called a Real Hero. It's something that our clan has always pursued."
"What does it mean?" I asked.
"It means a real hero is born when you've found someone you're willing to throw aside everything you have." He says.
I couldn't help but smile as we talked about the events that unfolded before the kidnapping.
I looked outside the window and smiled at the figure of a certain someone.
"I think I understand what Mom meant." I answered with a smile. "Since I've somone I'm willing to throw everything away for."
"Then you better protect them properly." Dad says and pats my head. "We owe that child a lot. For bringing us together, and keeping us together."
"I know." I smiled and waved as he waved at me with a vibrant smile.
"Let's go then." Dad smiled. "We can't keep him waiting for you."
----
Andrew descends with his Dad, Seiji-san and the National Defense Group have already arrested all the men.
"Andrew, did you get to talk about what you wanted to?" I asked with a smile.
"We did." Andrew's father smiled and patted my head. "Take care of Andrew for me, Arata. I know he's in good hands."
"What do yo-?" Before I can ask, Andrew kneels.
"Arata, I, Andrew Sirius now make this vow to you. So that the one that gave me understanding and emotion can one day smile upon the seeds of hope he had planted, I vow to be the scythe thatshall render any enemy that shall them." He says and kisses my hand. "I, now make my vow, to be your Keen Scythe."
A golden life engulfs us, Andrew's clothes are changed. A black cloak with, a black and white, horizontally striped shirt. Black pants with a silver buckle belt, black boots and a few black belts on his sleeves. I notice the wrist of his cloak have a nice, tattered design to them. There's a giant double-teethed scythe that is fastened to his back.
"Andrew..." I don't know what to say.
"Well, does it look good on me?" He asked and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Yup. It suits you very well." With a big smile, I answer him.
As he hugs me, I manage to glance at my Crest. Seven of eight, the seventh now with a scythe etched into it.
With one last spin, Andrew places me down, I smiled as he hugs me, my eyes then fall on Ethan. The last Petal till finally the True Sacred Flowers are gathered. And now, with the Vi=rus evidence we have, we can track down the source and hopefully put an end to the production of Vi=rus.
In just one day, I feel like so many things are unfolding. I thought I had gotten use to this but... I guess it's always one thing after another.
