The identity of the Nine Tailed Calamity caused all those who stood there to be taken by surprise. Arata, was the one whow as affected the most. The Beacom, Licht Silvers. Arata wondered why the Beacon became like this when suddenly a storm of attacks came their way.
Growth blocks it and they all snap out of it and refocus themselves. They raise their weapons, ready for the next attack that the trio will send their way when they suddenly disappeared. Arata stood there as the night swallowed the last bit of light.
"Arata, let's head back." Theo tapped Arata's shoulder and Arata suddenly falls. "Arata! Arata!"
Theo checked him, he was breathing and his pulse was stable but Arata looked pale. Van and Zander immediately checked what was wrong.
"Let's get him back to school. Quickly." Will said and the others nodded.
Theo carried Arata back to school where the others students immediately asked what had happened. The Braves remained silent as the doctors checked what was wrong with Arata. The doctors stated that nothing was wrong and said that he'd probably wake up the next day.
However, he didn't. Arata continued to sleep for three days and everyone grew worried. Sure, Arata had slept for a week but that due to the fact that his body had overused Vi, right now his body was fine, yet Arata didn't wake up.
"What's wrong, Arata..." Will said as he and the others waited for the doctor to finish checking him.
"What's wrong with him?" Andrew asked as the doctor came out the door.
"I'm very sorry. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him, he's just asleep." The man answered.
"Tch. Just asleep?! Then tell us when he'll wake up!!" Lucas snapped.
"We have no idea. He may wake up soon or..." The man didn't finish his sentence as he felt that someone or something is likely to end his life if he finished it. "I'm very sorry."
"Black Turtle, can't you do something about it?" The Vermillion Bird asked after the doctor left.
"My power governs over life and essences however, it cannot tamper with the Fleur's essence." She answered.
"Why not?" The Azure Dragon, in its human form asked.
"The power of several Fleurs intersect around it. As the Essence of the Le Fleur is special, it is an essence that is born, dies, and reincarnates in a cycle of a hundred years." She answered. "If I were to tamper with it, the power the Le Fleur's have cultivated as well as master's own existence may he compromised."
"Ryl, can you think of anything?" Dino asked.
"Hmm... maybe if we could figure out what the cause is, Rum can destroy it." He said.
"Will-senpai! everyone! Come quick! A call came from Tetra-Topia!" Yuuki exclaimed as he ran towards them.
The others immediately headed there where Stroy greeted them and as he saw there faces smiled with a panged smile.
"So I was too late." Story said. "Master has already fallen into deep sleep..."
"Story, do you know why this has happened?" They asked.
"I do, but... in order to tell you, you must first learn of the darkness in master's heart." He said. "Will you be ready?"
They nodded and Story began the story of Arata's heart. Arata had always resolved to protect humanity and drive away the Chimeras once and for all, but as time went on, he noticed the different colors of people that painted humanity. As he learned more about humanity, he began to know of its darkness and light. While not realizing it, he had began to doubt his purpose, which was amplified when he learned of the darkness of humanity. He was being eaten by it and as such, he locked his heart away, so as to prevent it from being overwhelmed by humanity's darkness. However, even though he closed his heart, the darkness stil chased after him.
One by one, little by little, Arata was starting to be overwhelmed, this was worsened when he saw the power of the Gems of Sin. Arata was nearly overwhelemd by despair that he immediately locked away his heart and turned his eyes away, but by doing so he realized what he had done. He had been ignoring it and turning a blind eye to all of humanity's darkness. He kept his heart in a cage and kept it closed tightly. However... the cage finally shattered when he learned of the identity of the Nine Tailed Calamity.
"Master was... over come by the shock and his heart was overtaken by the darkness." Story said. "However... the master is still fighting. His heart is trying to understand humanity and what is it truly."
"Will Arata be fine? Is there anyway we can help him?" Hiro asked.
"Simply being by the master's side has already helped him a lot. I'm certain that the master will be fine as long as you are there." He said. "After all, the master is simply wavering, he hasn't fallen."
"Story, what will happen if Arata falls?" Will asked.
Story doesn't answer at first but as Will asked again, he answered with a tone of seriousness.
"Every Brave and all the Guardians will lose their power." He answered. "There will be nothing left if the master falls. No power to fight against the Chimeras."
"Arata won't fall." Mao said. "No matter what, we'll be by his side to help him up when he falls. When he wavers we'll be there to reassure him."
"Yeah. No matter what, we'll be here for him and we'll always remind him. That there is no darkness that can't be defetaed by light." Touya smiled. "Just like he did for us. Like how he drove the darkness away for us, this time it's our time to drive the darkness away for him!"
While they all agreed, Arata who was alone in his mind was losing his reason to fight. He was slowly being devoured by the darkness as he continued to witness humanity's dark side. It's greed, it's selfishness and it's despair. He was questioning his own resolve which was slowly being devoured by the darkness.
