That night, the morale of all the students fell quite deeply. They suffered a great loss in this battle though many didn't say it. Karin's parents were informed by the school of what she had done, they immediately came to the school the following day.
While the principal was talking to them, Arata was walking down the hallways where the despair and hopelessness was omnipresent. He himself was in despair over the incident with Karin but he held it in and was smiling, he knew if even he caved everyone would surely follow.
While in cafeteria, Will and the others were overwhelmed with the fact that they weren't even strong enough to beat the normal Chimeras that didn't even have anything special about them.
The cafeteria was very gloomy and dense until Arata came in and the atmosphere somewhat changed. Will and the others welcomed Arata as they all sat together for dinner.
"Where's Dino?" Arata asked.
"He went off to meet with Beryl." Van stated.
There wasn't much conversation as they ate, Zander and Zhen tried to start conversations but they almost died out immediately.
"Arata, what kind of titles did you give Hiro and the others?" May asked trying to lighten the mood.
"Speaking of which, I don't know either." He answered.
"Eh? You gave it to them but you yourself don't know?" Leon said.
"It's sort of random, as what they get is the power they desire the most." He answered.
"So, Hiro, what title did you get?" Andrew asked.
"Regal Brave. That's all." Hiro answered.
As Arata tried to recall what were the properties of the Regal Braves, he suddenly felt something inside of him beginning to quake and suddenly before him the Chronicle appeared.
"Regal Braves, the fifth form of Braves, the special property of Regal Braves, is to wield any ability they please." I read what was written. "However, they also have the ability to use the Cardinal Weapons and Sora to fight Chimeras."
"Cardinal Weapons?" Mayumi asked.
"They're weapons that were used during the War of Ancients..." Arata stated, he didn't go deeper into the story and the others didn't dig any deeper into the matter. "They can be used to fight Chimeras as well."
"Where do we find these Cardinal Weapons?" Hayato asked.
"Once a person becomes a Regal Brave, they learn the name of their Cardinal Weapon upon awakening." Arata read aloud.
While they tried to learn what their Cardinal Wepaons were, Dino came into the room with Beryl who introduced himself and apologized for being unable to kill Pierrot to which Arata apologizes for not being able to defeat Karin.
While they were talking, Karin's parents came to talk to Arata. While they apologized to all of the people who were affected by Karin's actions, they wanted to talk to Arata in private. Will and the others listened in to what they were talking about using one of Arata's Petals.
"Arata, we're very sorry for what our daughter has done to you." Karin's father apologized.
"We heard about what she has done to you from Kimie and the Principal. We know she has done many horrible things to you." Her mother apologized. "However, if Arata can find it in his heart, we beg you to save our daughter."
Will and the others who were listening outside were nearly enraged by their request. Arata inside took a moment to decide before answering.
"I'll do what I can." He answered with a smile. "Karin is my classmate, and a fellow Brave, I also have scores to settle with the people by her side."
"Thank you." They thanked him.
While Arata and Karin's parents chatted and had tea, the people outside were fuming about their request when Karin's father speaks.
"I heard about the outcome of your battle from the Principal." Karin's father says. "Don't let it get you down. We can't always win every battle. But that doesn't mean we can be gloomy and stop here."
"We know it isn't our place to say this but, I'm certain that there will be something for you ahead of this." Karin's mother said. "You're strong, resilient and above all, you're a symbol of hope to everyone in this school. I'm certain that you'll be able to lead them to a brighter future."
These words made Arata feel warm and he smiled wholeheartedly and thanked them. The two smiled and thanked Arata and got up to leave. The words that Karin's parents said to Arata made the others feel like her parents were alright and when they came out of the room, Will and the others greeted them at the door.
"We promise we'll save your daughter." Mayumi said and smiled.
"I think you have more important things to worry about than our daughter." Karin's mother said and smiled the came closer to them. "Be sure to keep him safe. I'm certain that he'll be the light of hope for all of us."
"Yes." Will answered and they smiled and left.
Arata, who sat there alone, began to think of what he should do next when a voice came into his head.
"Don't stop there, forward, towards the light." Fleur's voice whispered a chant and he smiled.
He went outside and gathered all the students who were there and they all asked why they were brought here to which Arata smiles and tells them to wait a bit.
"In the skies of a now distant land, a thousand stars are scattered admist the night sky. The footsteps of travellers resound within the dark night, the voices resound within the darkness." He began to chant. "Don't stop there, forward, towards the light. The lamplight of hope that burns within you, let it glow bright and shine to drive away the night, LampLight, Hope!"
Arata chant causes each of the students to glow bright and above them, in the now dark sky, stars begin to shine. Arata, who stood before them was shining in starlight and seemed to have a halo of light as he said these words.
"Don't stop there, the path still continues, towards the future which we make with our own hands."
