Chapter 70 - Chapter 70, Growth

"Now then, while the Navire is taking his test, I have a few questions for you, Arata." He said and brought me to the ship.

"For me?" I asked as he lead me to a tea table.

"Yes. Unlike the previous Flowers, you are the first to enter the Celestial Globe." He answered and poured me tea. "Fleur left her power to you and gave you the power to choose the comrades who would stand beside you. She left you the power choice, I'm very interested in what you will choose."

"The power of choice?" I asked.

"The power to choose your own fate. Just as you chose the ones who will serve you as your Blades, one you must also choose your own fate." He answered. "You all have always fascinated us Ancients. The power to grow, to learn, to choose, these have always fascinated us. Since we were born we have always bound by our purpose."

"Purpose?" I asked.

"Fleur had the purpose of spreading life and light. She continues to do so even now, through the Sacred Flower. I am the same. Even though the body has died, I continue to guide people within the Celestial Globe." He answered. "Aside from the two of you, there will be three more Called Ones that will surely gather. The Role of Chooser, Navigator, Watcher, Hero and Beacon will always be there."

"Chooser, Navigator, Watcher, Hero and Beacon... you mean besides me and Saint there are three more who share the same fate?" I asked.

"Not quite. They simply have roles to play, you don't share the same fate but you are connected." He answered. "You fate is to choose, his is to guide, the Watchers is to watch, the Hero is to be the symbol of hope and the Beacon is to be the helper along your journey."

"So... will I meet them one day?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm sure you will meet. After all, your fates are linked. Yours is drawing closer to its end." He answered. "Your role as Chooser is reaching the end of its purpose and long, long, journey."

"I see..." I answered.

As we chatted I learned quite a lot of things from him. About my power, about the others power but I get the feeling he won't answer any question regarding the end of my journey. He seems to be dodging the topic of the true power of the Sacred Flower. At first I try to persuade him but eventually give in.

Just as I'm sipping my tea, a river of light emerges and Saint returns, on his hand is a crest I've never seen before. A compass with a ship behind it. So this is the crest of the Sacred Compass.

"Now then. Saint, I leave the rest in your hands." Navire says.

He stands up and walks towards Saint and places his hand on Siant's shoulder and that's when I notice Saint's expression has changed from earlier. I feel like he has matured, the naive air around him has matured and he seems to be more grown up now.

"Did you find the answer to your questions?" I asked and Saint nodded.

"Farewell, brave souls." Navire says and disappears in a river of light.

Has he been relieved of his role as Navigator...? I think heis simply resting, as that Role has been left to Saint.

"Can you activate the ship?" I asked him and Siant nodded.

"I can. It will take some time though. But I promise you if I can activate it we can turn the tables of the fight!" He said energectically and I smiled. "Please buy me 30 minutes at the very least."

"I leave it in your hands." I answered. "I'll go help the others."

"Aye-aye Sir." He answered happily and I couldn't help but smile.

I go out of the Celestial Globe and witness the massive change in the battle's state. The balance has shifted to the Chimeras side hasn't it. The morale has dropped and we have lost a great deal of fighters.

"Respond to the call of this flower, oh power that sleeps within me, bud and let your beauty be known!" I chanted as I descended to the battlefield. "Bloom upon the bloody battlefield, let your petals be a sign of victory, scatter them throughout the battlefield as you bloom!"

As my feet touch the ground an eight petal flower blooms at my feet and spread out throughout the battlefield. It's petals engulf and when they part, my attire has been changed.

A golden coat with diamond shaped buttons that falls a few inches above the ground. A black scarf with a fading ornage hue as it ends. A black vest with brown buttons and a balck pants tucked into black boots. I notice that there are straps on my rught leg and arm as well. On my coat, the Sacred Flower is decorated unto the zipper. I also notice that there is also a similar on in my hair. There are also some decorated on the side of my coat. On the wrists the crest is also featured. I also notice a chain necklace with the same crest embedded unto the diamond shaped necklace. So this my Sacred Flower's Regalia.

"Buy time for Saint. When he is done everything will change!" I called out to them as I jumped into the air. "Bloom and scatter your petals."

The moment my hands touch the ground a rose blooms and rises to the sky and scatter it's petals that explode upon impact with the Chimeras.

"What was that? And what are you wearing?!" Theo exclaimed as I landed near him

"Like it? Navire taught me how to use it. The Sacred Flower's Regalia." I answered him. "As for that, it seems to be the power of the Sacred Flower."

I jump back as the Chimeras attack and raise my hands to the sky. If what Navire said is true, there is a Familiar that serves every Flower. I hope it'll listen to me.

"Come to me, Growth!" I called it and then behind me a figure begins to emerge. It's a small bird, with feathers decorated in the colors of the rainbow. This is its form since I have just summoned it. "Go!"

Growth jumps around and attacks the chimeras quickly destroying them before Apus, Aquila, Cygnus and Pavo attack it.

"Growth!" I passed more Vi to it and it easily over powers them.

Ten Minutes have passed. We need to buy more time. Growth is keeping most of them at bay so we move the wounded in first. Just as we've the last wounded back into the city the True Beast of Pegasus knocks Growth to the ground.

"Growth!" I exclaimed but it seems fine. "Tch. Growth! Division!"

I ordered Growth to divide itself and it divides itself into smaller ones and attack them in groups. Even Growth can only hold on so long against the True Beasts.

"How is everyone?" I asked.

"We're fine." Sunny answered, she was covered in wounds but she seems fine. "We're beaten up but we'll be fine."

Just then, something breaks past the barrier and land a few inches away from us. As the dust clears the that we see is... The True Beast of Hercules.
