Chapter 57 - Chapter 57, A Vow to The Distant Stars

"Ha... ha... ha... I... can't..." I said panting.

"Hang... in... there..." Will said panting.

"I'm... at... my... limit..." I said finally falling on my knees.

"Up we go." Mitan said picking me up. "I'll carry you up since there is only a little bit more to climb."

"Thank you, Mitan." I thanked him.

It's so exhuasting to reach the peak of Rubellite Mountain where Begonia Castle sits. It's one of the highest peaks in this whole world.

We've been climbing since this morning and it's already noon when the summit came into view. By dusk we make it to the temple and fall to the ground from exhaustion.

"Ugh... I... can't..." Theo complained.

"Let energy be restored, grant the heroes strength, Refresh." I chanted and a light engulfed all of us.

"What is this? I feel much better." Angie said.

"A power I gained from the Sacred Flower." I answered. "Should we take a break first before we go in?"

"Yeah. I'm kinda hungry." Ethan suggested and I'm actually hungry myself.

"Let's have dinner then." Will said.

I touch my shadow and pull out the table, chairs and cooking tools we'll be using.

"We'll get cooking, you guys rest for a bit " Theo said.

"I'll look around the temple." I told them.

"I'll go with you." Andrew said and grabbed my hand.

We went into the castle and unlike the others which only had a staircase, this castle had large room inside it. There were writings on the wall that were ancient, far ancient than anything we've seen in school. Pictures, drawings and glyphs are up on the roof.

"Pay heed, those who enter, for the gates are revealed to those who are worthy." Andrew read some texts on the door.

"If I'm reading these glyphs correctly these would be the records of the past Flowers and Swords." I told him.

"Then, this is quite the find." Andrew said and I nodded. "Can you read them?"

"I'll see what I can do." I answered as I tried reading the text.

As I tried reading the gylphs onnthe wall, Andrew walked around the room. There was only one door that must be the staircase.

"Fluer... is history... past... seen" I read them aloud but something seens wrong. "The Fluer has seen the past, the history."

"What does that mean?" Andrew asked.

"The Fleur has seen countless genereations end and begin." I answered. "I'm not surprised if they've been a part of history, the gaps between generations is atleast a couple hundred years or so."

"What about this?" Andrew asked the glyphs on the door.

"The trigger is the Flower." I read.

Suddenly the glyphs on the door glowed bright and the ground beneath us opened and we fell down to the lower chamber and the upper chamber closed above us. We look around us as the area is lit by blue crystals.

"Looks like we fell into the lower chamber that leads to the puzzle piece." I told him. "Let's go."

"Okay." He answered. "But we better be back before dinner."

We walked down the stairs and eventually reached a large open room with giant crystals hanging from the roof. Multiple doors around us each which a gem on its side.

"Andrew." I said his name.

"The door to the right, with the bright red gem." He said.

We walked down that door and continued deeper and deeper into the castle depths and eventually reached another room similar to the previous one.

"Left, the one with the orange gem." He said.

This repeats itself for another five times, each path leading us deeper. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet are the colors that were on each door. By the time we reach the depths of the castle a tall iron door stood in our way. On its side were crystals of varying colors and on the door was a plate with seven slots.

"The colors will light the way." I read the text.

"Here, I'll hand you the gems, you place them into their slots." Andrew said and I nodded. "First is red.""

I place the red crystal in its place, then orange, then yellow, follower by green, then blue, after that is indigo and the last is violet.

The crystals glow bright and the door opens to us. We proceed to enter it and inside was a a large room with countless gems in it.

"Andrew." I nodded to him and he nods.

He walks around the room first, checking each crystal till he stops in front of a pink one. He touches it and the crystal falls apart and turns to dust and a small one remains in his hand.

"This is the one." He said and I smiled.

"Let's go back." I answered when we suddenly began to glow.

The next thing we knew we were back at the main room. I smile and Will call us to eat. We join the others and eat.

"You already got the piece?" Liam sighed.

"What gave it away?" I asked with a smile.

"You can't hide it from us, I'm your older brother remember." Will said.

"Sorry. We didn't plan to retrieve it we just happen to have stumbled upon it." I answered.

"As long as you're fine." Lia smiled and we resumed our meal.

After cleaning up I gazed at the beautiful stars in the sky and the crescent moon high above. What catches my eye the most is the second moon. If I'm not mistaken Mysteria Mountain has three moons. The third however is small and only appears on the night of the new moon. Each world has its own culture, concept and structure. Despite these differences people still undertsand each other, get along, communicate and find a way to live on in this time filled with so many dangers. Some still look up to the skies tonight, gazing upon the distant stars despite the dangers of this time period.

One day, I'll make it. A world where people from every world can gaze upon the satrs without having to worry or fear the Chimeras. I swear with these hands and this power, I'll definitely make a world like that. A vow to the distant stars.
