Day-1
Time- 4:00pm
"Excuse me! Move a bit! Let us through please!" Asked Peter to a person standing in front of him.
Peter, Sherlin and Juliet were struggling to move through the massive crowd trying to reach upto the wooden door.
"Do you all want to die kids? Where are you all three heading? Their is nothing but only death outside that door! They will tear you apart, just like they did to my son!" Said a frightened old Man crying for his young Son who was killed by those ravenous creatures.
"What happened to your Son, Sir? Please do not cry!" Asked Juliet to the old Man.
"I came to this Island with my family. But those monsters snatched my son away from me and started pulling his body parts away from his body in front of my eyes! I couldn't save my only Son!" Said the old Man breathing heavily with continuous large drops of tears falling from his red eyes.
Peter took one step towards the old Man and hugged him.
"I am really very sorry for your loss! Please don't cry! Everything will be all right! Help must be on its way by now! We just have to be patient and careful!" He said trying to console the old Man.
"We are very sorry! Where is your wife? Is she all right?"Sherlin asked the Man.
"I don't know where she is! She saw her own son dying infront of her eyes! She lost her sense! Those monsters were coming at us when I tried to pull her here amid the crowd but I lost my grip on her hand and I lost her too! I don't know where she is now! that she is even alive or dead!" Said the Old Man breathing heavily and crying helplessly.
Seeing the pain of that Crying Man, Juliet too broke down in tears.
"We are not going outside of this building. We are just trying to go upstairs in our rooms. We have all our things there which might help us. And I am not sure how, but we will try to find your wife. You please don't cry and have faith in Almighty. Everything will be fine!"said Sherlin comforting the Old Man.
They again turned their face towards the wooden door and restarted moving towards the door struggling among the hugely crowded people.
After few minutes of struggling, they finally reached at the door. The people at the door stopped them right there warning them not to go outside. They had to first convince the people at the door that they were only intending to go to their rooms and not outside then only the people allowed them to open the door.
Peter unlocked the door and pulled it slowly, opening it just as much as one can pass through it. The next moment, all the three friends were outside the wooden door and the door was locked again from inside.
They could clearly hear the loud screeching noises of those blood craving monstrous creatures from outside the main door and the scary grunting noises as they were trying to force themselves into the building by any means.
"Can you hear those frightening noises?"asked Juliet.
"Yeah, those monsters are as scary, savage and murderous as they sound!" Said Peter in fearful tone.
"You think, they could break in through that door? Because if they do, we all are going to die!" Sherlin asked Peter being scared.
"I do not know! That main door should hold them but I am not sure if it will hold them as their numbers are continuously increasing. But if happens, we are certainly doomed! We should go upstairs quickly to our rooms and see if we can find something of use that could help us!" Peter said worrying.
"Yeah guys! We can not lose hope! We will not give up on our lives untill they snatch it away from us! If they break in, We will fight for ourselves till our last breath!" Said Juliet encouraging everyone.
"Right! We will not give up! Let us move upstairs quickly now!" Sherlin said agreeing with Juliet.
"Okay, let's go!" Said Peter and they started climbing the stairs beside them.
Day-1
Time-4:10pm
Due to extreme thirst and hunger, Catherine fell asleep sitting under the large tree beside Alex with her head lying on his shoulder. Alex was also worn out due to tiresome journey so far without any food or water. He was sitting there resting his head back on the tree and just trying to regain his senses and some strength back so that they could go further deep into the forest as far away as possible from those monsters to save his love and himself. He didn't know what's out there deep into the forest, he only knew that he had to protect his love from those Zombies and the only way he could see it done was taking her away as far as possible from the reach of those monstrous brutes. His mind was troubled with the unwanted thoughts that might or might not happen in the near future. He saw those blood craving monstrous creatures coming after them when entering into the forest and he was not sure if they had enough time to rest for a while. He knew, sooner or a bit later, those monsters will be there any minute and they had nothing or noone that could save them from those ravenous monsters.
Alex pulled his head front, bent it a little and looked at the Catherine's sleeping face- So innocent and pure. He could easily give his life to get a smile on her pretty face once again. He could still feel her heavy breathing and her hair was scattered across her face. He lifted his left hand from the ground and moved his fingers across her face to remove her silky hairs from above it. Then he kissed her forehead with great affection and promised to himself that he will never let any harm come to her ever, whatever be the cost, even if he has to fight those monsters for her, even if he has to give his own life for her.
After some time, Catherine opened her eyes and found Alex holding her in his arms trying to stay awake while she was sleeping. His eyes had become red and his lips were dry being out of water for a long time.
She went closer to him and said "you too take a short nap love! I am here only. I'll look around for some time. If anything looks suspicious, I will wake you up! Okay!"
Alex nodded his head in agreement and closed his eyes.
Catherine cared his hairs with her fingers and Alex fell asleep.
