Chapter 64 - Secret

During my time going back to Loate from Vanifi with Andrin, we told our own story. What we were like on our previous world. What we jobs we do. Our hobbies and personal taste. Including our involvement in the story.

My involvement in the story is definitely not small, at the same time it isn't big as well. I made three characters: One important side character, a minor side character, and a character that was barely included in the entire story.

In addition to that, I am the one who constructed the castles and palaces in all kingdoms. I know the basic layout of right about every important palaces and castles. The more it was used in the story the more unique the design is. Which makes it even easier for me to remember the layout of all passages and secret passages.

Meanwhile, Andrin created two characters: A major character, the antagonist which is the villainess, the body that I am currently possessing and a minor side character.

Because of him, I found out Dianna Emond's real origin.

The day when the duchess, Hazel Emond gave birth, the daughter died from death right after pregnancy. At that day, Hazel Emond's heart was devastated more so than anyone else.

At a later time within that day, Albert Emond saw a basket with a baby that was healthy. It was crying loudly despite being left for quite some time.

The baby who has the same physical trait as their daughter who just died earlier flashed through Albert's mind and the baby that was in front of him.

Whether it was out of impulse or instinct, Albert kept the baby and introduced the baby that he found to his wife.

The two accepted the baby as if it was fate. The baby died but miraculously, another one with the same trait appeared at the perfect place at the perfect time.

The couple thought it was God's mercy upon the couple and accepted the baby and raised her with all their heart. This explain why they loved their daughter 'Dianna Emond', the only daughter of house Emond.

However, knowing that there was a way to determine whether the child was theirs or not, another one was pulled in into their secret. The previous doctor of house Emond who is now dead due old age.

With the blood transfusion at the early stages of the baby, not much blood was needed with its little body so the couple was happy that in the future, the society, ignorant of the truth, will accept their 'daughter' as a legitimate child of the two.

That way, no matter how many times their daughter's blood get tested, it will always go back positive which will be concrete proof that their third child is indeed theirs.

After telling them the truth, Dereck and Roman cried as they look at Ivan and remembered my words of "Me and that child is similar, one way or another".

Finally having full understanding of the truth behind my words, the two was simply baffled and frozen in place, unable to say anything to the fourteen year old girl who was narrating the truth of 'my' origin with such a bitter smile.

"When... when did you knew about this?"

Brother Nicholas asked while looking down as he is unable to look at me in the eye.

"Before I went to Vanifi"

Of course, out of the truth I told them today, this is the only lie.

Everything makes sense with the ridiculous story that they can't think of anything to counter it. They couldn't even if they try since they were merely children at the time.

"You must have been suffering. You found out about your past right before you were sent to another country"

"Fuck! How can our parents be so stupid?!"

"Ha, haha"

Hearing brother Nicholas swear at our parents was so surprising that it made me laugh. Though they seem to have misunderstand something yet again because of that.

When I found out about this, I cried non-stop for at least two weeks on my way here.

"What will you guys do now that you know that I am not your sister by blood? Well, I guess I can't say that since I do have father and mother's blood in me, literally"

Bam.

Brother Nicholas threw the table aside as he stood up.

He looked at me with a mixed expression of anger and pity with some self-hatred as well.

"How can you say that?! Of course we are still the same as ever! Why would we treat you differently just because of that?"

Brother Nicholas was extremely agitated at himself and frustrated at the same time. Knowing the reason why their parents paid more attention to me, remembering the times when he showers me with curse words and finally our parents' death.

'How can she hide her feelings so frighteningly?'

Is what he thought.

It then dawned to him. The time back then when the two of us had an argument when all the four major families in Loate was in the mansion.

Remembering the time that he had hurt me when I was helping him while going through the same pain as him shattered his heart even more so.

"Brother Roman, Dereck, can you please bring Ivan to my room. I don't think this is a good place for a kid to sleep at"

The two reluctantly left the room as quietly as they can with Ivan, leaving me and brother Nicholas in the room.

I spread my arms, gesturing that I was inviting my brother who is crying for a hug.

"Its not fair. I came here as soon as I can when I heard your town was attacked. I thought of so many things how to lighten you up. Why do you keep helping me instead?!"

Of course, it is like this. On the inside, I am much more older than you. So, as the big sister, it is my job to take care of you guys. My feelings for you all are genuine after all.

"Am I not allowed to? You are in a much more pitiful state than I am in, you know"

He walked slowly as a turtle, but in the room, it was as if time didn't existed. Because of that, in a blink of an eye, he was already leaning on my shoulder once again as he cry out the bottled feelings he has.

An hour later, we went back out. The air was gloomy wherever those three go. It was normal as they found out about something that normally they shouldn't have.

...

At night, in the same day on a balcony, Roman and Nicholas was drinking wine while Dereck Deltan was playing with the child.

"Brother"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"I don't think I can treat Bea as my sister any longer"
