The next morning the knights of the Emond duchy were training even more harshly than what I have seen for the past few months I have been here.
The things I have said yesterday is probably the main reason why.
Because of our agreement, father appointed two more knights who will protect me as I venture forth to my business making plan.

Emmanuel handed me a breakdown of Uziel's test scores.

The test he took were made by me. Taking his age into consideration, it is the same thing as to make a new fifth grader answer a tenth graders' quarterly exam.
"What about his swordsmanship?"
"I think it would be better that Uziel would use daggers instead of a sword, milady"
"And why do you think so?"
"As you know, it is physical taxing to use a sword, even more so when that person has a problem in the body"
"What problem?"
"I had multiple physician to take a look at him and it seems like Uziel has asthma, milady. What's more, his innate dexterity allows him to easily wield daggers, unlike swords since it is bigger and heavier"
I do get what he means by that. Even in my previous life, I also suffered from asthma.
"Okay, let him learn how to use daggers and knives. Make sure that he doesn't overwork himself and to stay healthy"

The maid said nervously.
I quickly went to father's office thinking that he might be mad about something based on the maid's behavior.
Everyone in the mansion knows my father as a kind and open man who would never mistreat someone.
For a maid to be so nervous about informing me about father calling me means one thing.
He snapped.
In the entire novel, the duke of Emond snapped for only three times. And each of those times, at least hundreds of people died.
Please, whoever was the idiot who angered father, stay alive for now.
"Father, I have arrive"

As soon as I opened the door, father's office was in complete shambles.
The wallpapers looked as if it was scratch by some wild beast.
The table has been flipped upside down.
Splattered ink in a corner of the room, broken glass and plates on the other side.
Torn pages from the books were covering the floor. The bookshelf is... how the hell is it even on the ceiling?
And there, right in the middle of the room, was Kainston who is nonchalantly eating his snack as father glares at him while holding a broken wine bottle.
"Father, I do not know what happened but please calm down. It is not good for you to destroy everything in your office"
"Bea"
"Yes, father?"
"His highness said that if you eve break off your engagement with Dereck Deltan, would you accept his highness' marriage proposal?"
"Never"
"Exactly!"
Father threw the broken wine bottle to the wall which made even more tiny fragment of glass shards.
"You see, your highness, my daughter would never, ever, be with you. She is too good to be yours"
So this is what all this commotion is all about. It is nice to have an overprotective parent but sometimes not when it gets a little bit over the top.
I do get what he means by that, that it would be too dangerous for me to be the queen.
But that doesn't mean you can just brew a storm in your own office while looking like a madman who is about to kill someone from a horror movie.
"I understand. With that, I shall now take my leave"
"No. Please stay in the drawing room for now, your highness"
"Why would I, lady Dianna? Do you perhaps have something you need to tell me in private~?"

Realization came into mind. He remembered how bad it would be if mother gets back before this mess is cleaned up.
A maid led Kainston to the drawing room while I escort father to his room.
Before going to Kainston I cooked a meal that has a relaxing effect to calm down father so that he can take it easy for the day.

"Politically speaking, making someone like you as my queen is the best option for me. The Emond duchy is my greatest supporter and a woman like you who is witty and tactful enough would be able to prosper this kingdom alongside me"

"What other one?" He ask with a bright smile.
"You said "Politically speaking". So, I am asking, what is the other one?"
"See~. You are witty"
He took out a pouch ang gave it to me.
It was a pouch full of candy.
"Logically speaking, if I do that the duke would kill me. Unless we somehow fell for each other that is"
"I can't see that happening"
"The fact that your eyes is so confident about that makes me uneasy"

After all, the heroine is already destined to be yours.
"You knew it would be suicide to say something like that to my father and yet you still went and did it. Do you have a death wish or something?"
"I was only trying out the possibility. Now that I have my answer I won't be chasing you anymore. Unless the heads of the three duchy in the future says otherwise that is"
