It doesn't want to fight anymore. A fight is the last thing on CARNAGE's mind now. So It sent out a portion of its body to fight the demon god of WRATH. It should delay WRATH and buy it enough time for the plane to end. Unfortunately, the delay tactic didn't work. The plane lasted longer than it should have. The demon god of WRATH arrived before the plane collapsed.
"Revenge is the sweetest thing I know." WRATH said with unbridled excitement when it got close.
