The jet lag had taken its toll on Ami's husband. He was already passed out on the bed in their airbnb. To be fair, it was night in their home back in the states. She had finally convinced Kenneth to go on this vacation on the terms that she pay for everything. She wasn't opposed to that because this day and age, why shouldn't women take care of their men? Equality was always her priority.
Trying to stay awake she decided to take a stroll outside and get some sun in attempt to stay awake. The sun was so lovely here. She closed her eyes in content and breathed in the clean air. Letting out a breath she decided she was going to make this vacation count and get her husband to see they still had love between them. It had been quite some time since they had been intimate. They hadn't fought, but it concerned her he hadn't made the effort. She had made attempts, but he would always say "I'm really tired" or "let me finish this dungeon" on his game and she would eventually give up and go to bed herself. She supposed it was their work schedules that was the problem. So getting away to just be with each other was sure to be the answer why they hadn't been together in so long. She loved Kenneth, they had been together for 8 years and not had children, on the mutual decision that they wanted to focus on being financially stable. She had wanted kids, but knew it was difficult to have one of you didn't have the means to take care of it.
A light breeze blew her chestnut hair over her eyes. She tried pushing it out of her face and could have sworn she saw a figure of a man in the shadow of an empty window. She blinked and the man was gone. It was so quick she thought she imagined it. She looked around the street if anybody else had been around. The cobblestone road was completely void, save for a few bystanders outside drinking on the patios of restaurants. Brushing it off, she continued down the road. She kept her eyes on the beautiful roadwork, admiring the old architecture. She loved hearing her shoes clack on the stone. Imagining she was here when the city was young. She checked her watch to make sure she and her husband would make it to the vineyard in time for the tasting event. She wasn't much of a drinker at all, but her husband would enjoy the alcohol. She was fine with his vices, because well what could she say. To each their own. She decided to head back to the Airbnb and get dressed for the event. She had chosen a form fitting wine red dress for the occasion. It was tastefully short and accentuated her curves nicely. She was sure her husband would notice she wanted him to ravish her.
