Once everyone was split into the five lines, a robed figure stepped forward and said, "I will now explain how this final trial works as it is less of a trial, and more of a talent test. The first orb, the one that is glowing a slight silver color, tests your talent with magic then tests your talent with aura. Aura is the power that physical weapon fighters use to fight monsters on equal levels. There are multiple levels that can be seen in the following order; black is limited to no talent, green, which is slight talent, blue which is middling talent, purple is high talent, orange is legendary talent, and white is mythical talent. They are also known by the names, 'Common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and mythic.' After we determine your talent level, we will use the second orb to determine your affinities. Even if you only have an Aura talent, your aura can have an affinity, however aura affinities are different from magic affinities. Magic affinities are; Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Steam, Lightning, Gravity, Plant, Space, Time, Light, and Dark. Aura affinities are pretty much any beast, magical or otherwise, that you can think of, and depending on how powerful the creature is, and its size, that determines how powerful your aura actually is, regardless of talent. Come forward and the mage next to the robes will make sure you're ready."
After he finished speaking, he immediately stepped back next to the orb that I was supposed to walk to. I stepped forward and his eyes met mine and he said quietly, "I heard you've shown excellent potential as a mage. Please place your hand on the silver orb."
I gently placed my hand on the silver orb and it immediately started glowing a bright white. After a moment, the mage told me to place my other hand on the silver orb to test my aura strength, so I did so. When I placed my other hand to test my aura strength, the orb only glowed purple. Well, I say only because epic is below my mythic magic talent. The mage stared in absolute shock at my magic and aura talents before almost nervously carefully pushing the other orb towards me and saying, "The same hand you used to determine your magic talent will show you your magic affinities, and the same hand that you used to determine your aura talent will show you your aura affinity."
I hesitated before putting my off-hand on the second orb first, which would show my aura affinity, since I was kind of nervous about what my magic affinities would be. As I put my off-hand onto the orb there was no response for a moment, then this burning red aura started building up rapidly in the orb before bursting out and a small red reptile stood over the orb and my hand and let out a tiny roar which gathered everyone in the room's attention. I hated having people looking at me so I immediately pulled my hand from the orb and the reptile vanished. A moment later and everyone went back to their own trials, so I sighed in relief.
I looked at the mage who looked like he was about to have a stroke, and I sighed and reluctantly placed my main hand on the orb and energies started flow out of it freely. At first it was lightning, then there was this energy that was kind of gray, but I didn't really know what that meant so I turned to the mage and asked, "What is that gray energy? Lightning is fairly self explanatory, but what is the gray element?"
The mage was staring in shock and said, "G-gray is space. You're a dual elemental affinity holder, but not just that, but they're both extremely rare, powerful affinities! You're going to have a good future!"
