after jo's meeting is finished, as well as his day shift. same goes with li, who finished her exams. they agreed to chat into the rooftop.
li arrived at home.
"li! how was your exams today" her mom asked.
"its totally fine mom" li replied
"have you answered anything on the test?" she makes sure that li has reviewed the lessons fully and she couldve answered something in her test.
"yeah mom" she replied again.
"ok that's good, now take a shower and eat your dinner here. you should review for your tomorrow's exams ok?" her mom suggested.
"ok mom... but can i go meet my friends in the rooftop after i review?"
"why honey?"
"um... what do you want me to do after reviewing?"
"honey I'm asking you, why do you want to go out?" her mom said and she swallowed and doesn't know what to say.
"hanging out with my friends for a little while. is that okay? atleast I don't even get to use my phone since there will be exams til Friday." li replied to her mother and she allowed her to go out for a while later.
she took a shower and ate her dinner first then she start reviewing. after hours of reviewing for math and history exams, she can finally go out.
"mommy, can I go out now? I'm done studying" li asked.
"wow, that's so fast.. nonetheless, okay honey. but please come back at 8pm. understand?"
"ok mom." li answered her.
"also honey, when you are going outside, you should be more careful. otherwise, you'll get seized again by a random stranger ok?" her mom advised her before going out.
"don't worry mom. they'll know what happens if they do that. they should be scared of me because I'm stronger than them anyway haha" li jokingly scoffed and said goodbye to her mother.
"bye mom!"
"bye sweetie, have fun!"

li arrived on the rooftop and jo was waiting for her.
"jo!"
"li!"
"haha, what do you need from me anyway?" li asked, she was curious why did jo want to meet him
"well, remember that we met a while ago?"
"yeah... do you want to continue our conversation..?"
"I want to learn more things... about you.."
"hold on, you are supposed to work on the files thingy that you are working on. and you are supposed to face your clients right..?" li was confused that how isn't he working right now.
"well you know, in the hospital that I'm working in... we have shifts thingy and I'm assigned to work on a morning shift" jo explained to her on how isn't he working right now. "and well, sometimes, I can be a workaholic man that I worked from morning til night especially when I had to cover up for someone...yeah."
"ohhhhh, so what do you do in your free time?"
"well actually, I would spend my time with my family and my friends.. if not, then I could just watch TV and surf on the net" jo answered her question.
"too bad, I spend my free time playing games on my phone obviously. but I also do the same thing as you" li said. "wait a second... so you have.. friends..?" li realized something...
"I have a lot when I was young... they died before I moved here..." jo was so upset when he had to talk about his friends. "but, someone decided to be friends with me when I got my job."
"oh... did you make friends when you are still studying..?"
"I'm a shy type of person honestly. I rarely talk to people when I was still studying... but when time goes on, I started interacting with people but however, I may act awkward at... some point.." jo decided to admit some things to her.
"cool... are your friends nice..? because I also had many friends before. but now, they all left me.. and sometimes, I may be cold because... trust becomes useless to me ever since I had to accept the fact that they won't last forever. but I still have few friends who will be there for me. I also meet them in high school." li showed her side.
"we both lose our friends girl. but if you wouldn't mind, you can be friends with me. its alright if you don't want to.." jo suggested her since both of them are lonely.
"you seem very nice jo I guess... hmmm let me think... so I guess, maybe we can be friends..?" li hesitates to make friends for now.
"so your answer is a maybe? I understand that... but trust me, this is the time where you can finally find better friends than your old 'friends'. I think you honestly needed one, but you are afraid to trust again." jo comforted li and soon, they began to gain trust with each other.
