He was able to visit Yuuko after Susumu, er, Susanoo—Tsukuyomi really had to quit giving him that mortal name because it was sticking too well—had readied Yuuko's soul to cross into the dreamland. But something strange took place. While her older brother was transitioning, Kaoru dropped by. She quickly left, but the odd little thing returned with a Nigawarai[1] conveniently attached to her.
Wait, Tsukuyomi thought he was getting a headache! Gods don't suffer from headaches! But right now, he was experiencing one! She cautiously crossed the salt barrier, taking care not to damage it, as he growled in frustration, but it was ineffective. She had already crossed it with the creature. By the way, who latched it into her? She leaned over the bed to touch Yuuko's forehead and it was then he completed the transition.
'How did you get in here?' Tsukuyomi asked and saw her eyes widen in recognition of his voice. Then she was confused, probably because he looked different. He was in his true form, in his domain, so that was expected.
"I, uh, walked in," Kaoru mumbled something while he sighed. 'How did you enter here with your body, is what I'm trying to say,' he rephrased it to reflect his sincere want to know. This was unusual because he had never heard of or seen a person who could enter the dream world while still in their physical body.
'Who are you?' she asked annoyed to be on the receiving end of the questions. 'Handa' he called to his shadow and he appeared, 'see lady Kaoru out and get rid of that Nigawarai.'
'Yes my lord' Handa bowed and proceeded to show a protesting Kaoru out. Tsukuyomi then turned to Yuuko who was still lying on the bed, 'you can stand up now.' Yuko chuckled and sprang up and out of the bed, when they stepped out of his room the scenery changed to that of his castle on the moon. While they stood on it's balcony they could see everything living within his domain, Handa was back almost immediately and was filling him in on the matter at hand.
Handa was requested to conduct the interrogation since another wayward Yume no Seirei had been apprehended. After only a few hours with his shadow, the creature was already speaking out about everything he knew. Someone had set him up to spread nightmares throughout the world, but he didn't know who or whether other creatures like himself had also been contacted. Another dead end, that. Tsukuyomi turned to face Yuuko, who was paying close attention to Handa. It was Susanoo's idea to bring Handa here, though it was unclear how the mortal could be of assistance.
He carefully dispersed his mind around his realm, leaving clues for the monsters who prowled the night, as well as dreams and nightmares, to gather. Then Handa notified him that someone had left the dream. Again.

The next morning, Kaoru awoke in her bed with hazy memories of the previous evening. She stumbled out of her room, famished and without shoes. Even more rabid as usual, Kohana was already in the kitchen, which was next to the dining room, with her face full with chicken. Kaoru nodded when she saw her, but she kept her eyes closed and kept eating—what was happening with her?
After getting some food for the cooks, Kaoru joined her at the table where she was sitting. As she looked at her younger sister, she noticed the display of empty dishes on the table. When she looked at her closely, she thought, "She seems... thin. What happened last night?" Yuuko entered the room as well and took a pot of food without asking the cook. The cranky man shouted and growled at them until they finished and went, upset that they had disturbed the serenity of his kitchen. It was humiliating.
Lord and lady Kaneko were there, and the woman was once more giving Kaoru her sloppy grin. Now what? 'We have a marriage proposal for you, Kaoru, dear. Are you not joyful? Despite your poor health, someone wants to marry you.' Kohana stopped next to Lady Kaneko as she spoke jubilantly.
