I was glad that Carlisle didn't question me about last night. I stared at my rosy-cheeked complexion in the mirror. The maids averted their eyes to my cheek; it didn't stand out much after I had put on some rogue. The tint made me look more youthful as I asked to wear a dress that would highlight the pink makeup. My hair was put down, tickling my cheek, obscuring what had happened. It was a simple dress and my shoes were easy to walk in.
"You look so handsome," I chirped out. It was true. He was dressed casually, with an opened black shirt exposing his chest and dark pants. Deep black gloves covered his fingers and I noticed that he usually wore rings. It felt weird not to see him with anything on.
"You talk too much," he grumbled out.
