EDIT : I just noticed that an entire chapter was missing and now that I think about it, some of you have complained that Nicolas's death wasn't talked about, well... It seems that I accidentally deleted the first real exploration chapter of my novel =O. It will be added shortly as "the observatory" and the chapter that was previously named as such will be named "Are you hungry?". If you want to know what really happened without having missed a chunk of my novel, please reread those chapters.

Matt's POV : One year after the hatching ceremony inside the dome
"Come on now, get your fat ass up here Bohr!" a young Falco shouted from a tree canopy
"Hey! These are muscles, not fat!" Bohr replied from the ground, he wasn't the usual giant but he was still pretty big… and chubby.
"Muscles ehh. You wanna have a fight to find out whether those lumps have a chance of catching me?"
"Uhm no… I don't want to accidentally crush you… You are pretty slim and fragile after all."
"What the hell did you just say about me you little…"
The blonde hyperactive and insolent child jumped off his tree and dashed towards the ogre-like kid. He tried punching him in the stomach but his hit was simply absorbed by the fat muscles.
Falco tried to run around and hit him multiple times but his attacks were akin to a flies hitting a boulder.
Bohr on the other hand couldn't even see his enemy and he was getting pretty annoyed.
Swinging his left arm horizontally he almost wrecked the little lightning but was still dodged, his second maneuver however couldn't be evaded as he jumped up and squished Falco under him,
"Help! HELP ME! I'm dying! A whale is crushing my bones! I can feel them snapping!" Falco tried to muster as much strength as he could to get out but could only scream in a muffled voice.
"Haha, alright Bohr, I think he learned his lesson." a bubbly young girl of asian descent approached the two boys along with another girl and a boy.
She had weird messy pink dyed hair and it was almost impossible to not see her smile, that's the kind of person Yeri was even after hatching.
The two behind her were Wilfys, a small white girl in a hooded robe always having a bow near her and Nicolas, a perfect emo swordsman.
(I think I never mentioned this but Nicolas is based on a friend of mine that challenged me to put him in this novel, so I did. Me and my group of friends once talked about who would die first in a horror movie and we all immediately agreed that he would be the one, so I killed him off a few chapters later. Little fun fact :p)
"Gosh Falco, you should know that Bohr doesn't like to fight…" Yeri continued her joyful scolding while Nicolas helped Bohr clean his Jacket from the leftover dirt.
"So… should we head to our hideout ?" Wilfys asked the group
"Sure, we just have to find the others." Bohr said
"Ugh, I think most of them are already there, Heimer is still cooking with Miranda so he won't come… As for Matt and Astrid I think they are around here somewhere." Falco explained while checking for any broken limbs.
"Knowing Matt he's probably watching us right now…" Yeri thought aloud
"Yeah… I wish he could stop doing that, I always have to watch over my shoulder just to check he isn't following me when I meet…" Wilfys
"When will you meet who?" Nicolas asked
"Nevermind, let's just call him." Wilfys stuttered
"Alright I'll do it" Yeri enthusiastically said
"Wait, please stop!" all the others exclaimed while preparing to protect their ears
"˜"*°•.˜"*°• MATT •°*"˜.•°*"˜!!!" Her sweet and energetic shout crossed the whole forest forcing any unfortunate passersby to protect their eardrums.
It gave me no choice but to descend from my tree before she did it again and make me deaf.
"Chill, chill. I'm here." I really needed to stop stalking them but it feels so fun.
"And where is Astrid ?" Falco asked
"Behind you." was all she needed to say to scare the crap out of him.
"Hahaha… That's always so funny." everyone except Falco
We then walked through the Under Forest to a thick dead oak tree that stood tall on the side of a river.
Its base was covered in dead leaves, roots and dirt amongst which multiple insects and small animals thrived.
After touching the floor near a wide root, Bohr lifted up a wooden hatch and climbed down.
The rest of us did the same until we found ourselves in a small cavern-like room that didn't cave in with dirt as the walls were reinforced with wooden sticks and planks as well as some ceramic brics.
The interior was furnished with a wooden table and dirt benches where all my friends were currently sitting and chatting amongst each other.
This subterranean room was lit by a torch chandelier hanging above us.
The smoke was evacuated through a hole that led directly to the oak tree above and leaked through its stumpt.
We had gone through a lot of trouble to build such a treehouse but it was a very fun process.
"Hey guys, I know we have promised to never talk about "the room" but how about we talk about what kind of spirit we have ?" Yeri proposed
"I don't think that's a good idea…" Astrid immediately answered
"Alright no problem, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."
"I'll start then, I'm a Blitzer, half Cheetah and half hummingbird! Cool right?" Falco said smugly
"Do you even know what it means?" Nicolas raised an eyebrow
"Nope but it sounds cool !"
"..." everyone.
"Well none of us really know what it means…" Wilfys said
"Maybe we'll find out later." Sarr said in a tomboyish voice
"Yep! Yep! I'm half parrot half human by the way!" Yeri said cheerfully
"I'm a big foot, half capybara half bear: I mean I know that I have big feet but that is still a strange name…" Bohr said timidly
"I'm a river sniper, half archerfish, half cone snail." Rhin mumbled
"I didn't really pay attention to what it said… I think something like a peacock?" Wilfys
"Thorny devil." Nicolas
"Wait what! That sounds so cool !" Falco couldn't help but exclaim
"Why are you looking at me like that ? Oh right its my turn, I have no idea what I am." Sarr said stoically
"And you don't care ?" even Yeri was pretty weirded out
"Yup, I forgot about it since I am me and that's all that matters. It's forbidden to transform inside the dome anyways and even if it were none of us would know how since no one taught us."
"You have a point but what about outside or what if the rules change?" Bohr asked with passion
"I'll see then. It's better to live by the day rather than think too much about the future and ruin both."
"..."
"Whoa damn, that's some conviction." Since no one spoke I decided to step up, "Well, while I don't completely disagree with that mindset I must still urge you to think about the future, just a little bit. There might be some changes around here soon and I really don't want you swept up in the tide."
"Sure thing daddy." she replied cheekily
Astrid in the back flinched a little and laid her eyes on her new enemy.
'Matt will be mine you bitch. Don't you dare touch him or I'll bury you alive. Whether we are friends or not doesn't matter so shut up and disappear.'
Luckily for her, or both of them, Sarr would soon enter in a relationship with Heimer while Rhin and Wilfys do the same. The only one that could come in her way was Yeri but that's a story for another time.
"MaTt wAkE uP ItS YoUr TuRn tO sTaNd gUaRd."
*Yawn* "Alright see you in four hours."

Hope you liked this bonus chapter, its a little flashback seen through a dream, for those that are confused.
Thanks to the voice of the people I have also chosen my future and it will be an original masterpiece ! This chapter is a little thank you for all those that comment and help me improve my work.
Speaking of which I will start to change a lot of the already written chapters to adapt them to the story I have planned (like changing the 002 awakening segment, insert a better mutation explanation and jobs system within Valhalla...)
