I peek one eye open to the yellow afternoon rase. the worm late summer day was coming to an end in a couple hours. I sit myself up from the thick long grass shaded by a willow tree. The tree has been here long before man settled near it the old willows roots dipped in the river just 5 feet from wear i lay. My name is Jade Reed, im 20 years old, I have dark blond hair with tints of copper highlights and forest green eyes, along with a olive skin tone i was the spitting image of my mother other then my eyes. thats what my grandma would tell me any chance she got. I've been comeing to visit my grandma every summer sense i was 5 i recently decided to move here this year to help her out and go to school. I get to live in a nice house with my own room and no rent and thats a steel sense i was living in New York with deadbeat roommates. I never stade pass the last month of summer with my grandma sense the winters wear mild i never really knew why? With September at its end; this would be first time i have ever stade in Raven Falls for a winter. Raven Falls was named after Robert Raven who founded the town his family has been living here for almost as long as the old willow tree. My grandmother said the relatives who now live in the Raven Hill house are gone in the summer and come in the winter. probably some reverse snow birds i think to myself. i move closer to the river and dip my bare feet in the icey water feeling my toes go num. living in Oregon was very different then New York or Arizona wear i was rased my mother still lives there i can't stand the heat nor the smog of NY. As my train of thought wonders i suddenly feel the water rise to my upper leg and i look and see ripls move in the water I tilt my head up to see the tall muscular figure of a man with hair as dark as coal. I intake a breath as i realiz this beautiful creatur had his gaze on me.

I run a hand through my black hair as i walk briskly through the thick woods. * fuck all day a smell has been in the air; no all week would be more like it. Senses the clan and i have returned from Russia I've been able to smell a sweet wild strawberry with a wet pine tree sent! its driving me up a wall every human or magic as my kind refer to ourselves, have a different sent but this one has been eating at me for about a week i want that smell weather i wish to eat it or fuck it is a hole other issue i haven't yet figured out? I can here Morgan and some of his pack mates near by that wolf can't leave my side for a second . Shit ill just jump in the river and let it take me up stream a bit. I take my my shirt and lather jacket off along with the black lather shoes . I hate clothes if i could get away with nothing i would but its the cooler season now and many humans would notice that it doesn't effect my kind if we walked around naked like that, just the clothes ive removed will couse a rise out of Morgan. I step into the water not feeling the effects of the cold one bit ; i get to the middle wear the current was and lay back and let it take me as i head up streem i stare at the pine trees and willows even some maple i see the color on the leaves are starting there winter change to reds, oranges and browns the grass thick and dark green would soon follow. it was a nice day and probably one of the last worm ones left. suddenly the smell of wild strawberry hits me hard like a slap to the face i stand up the river water only reaching my hips. I feel the shift in the water and turn towards a very ancient willow tree and under it the smallest most heart stopping figure sat under it. I WANT HER! I hear my inner beast cry out god i didn't know her but every fibure of my being screamed i didnt just want to eat her i wanted her in every way i could think of. what the fuck is wrong with me why do i crave a human like a crack addicted hora. I clench my fist to hold my self back from turning this fucking beast is clawing at my insides begging to be set free! If i let him out i dont think i could stop him from hurting her and as that crosses my mind he suddenly settles down he seems to be in the same boat as me now he wants her i want her but if i try anything now we could hurt her and that doesnt sit well with us. I dont know her name yet but the idea of anyone hurting her even me kills me and i let a low growl ascape my mouth and my body shakes a enough that the water ripples suddenly like the gods just had to add to my sering need to have her she looks up and a pair of deep green eyes stare at me!
Jade: Even though we wear far apart from each other i could have sworn i heard what maybe sounded like a animal nose come from his side of the river i stand slowly my stinging from the cold water i watch the figure move closer to me i back away from the edge of the river. I gasp as i suddenly trip on a willow root landing hard on my back nocking the wind out of myself. i feel slightly dizzy from the lack of air in my lungs. i feel drops of icey water hit me and i open my eyes to see pair Navy green eyes with gold specks in them. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped this man was chiseled head to toe a greek god. his features didnt match the aura he gave off. like a beast with a temper you could look but dont touch or you would loose a hand. something about him made me want to be close but at the same time i had a slight fear of him. as i started to get my barings back i relize that there was no way he could have been that fast getting to me. * Yo.. you how did you get over here so quickly! HE reached down and with his large hand he pulls me to my feet. * I was near you by the time you fell. A thick accent maybe Russian came from tall dark and handsome. speaking of tall dear god this man had to be at least 6,4 i didn't even make it his chest. * I... I .... aren't you cold? * No. his voice was deep and smooth like leather i wonder what kind of noses he would make if i ..... oh wait a second keep your head in strate Jade no need to think like that and to a man half naked in the woods whi you due not know! * ok... well ummm.. thank you for helping me up i have to go now ! I suddenly try to move past him and get away from this over baring feelings i was experiencing but as soon as i pass his shoulders like a light went off in him he reachs out and catchs my small hand in his very big strong cold one * Name? He looks at me like he had to know or it be the end of him * I ...Its... ummm.. Jade. I look at my feet trying to hide the blush that was creeping up. I was smitten with this strange man and the way he took my hand has me feeling things that should not be coming up with a person in the woods. I meet his gaze and see he is in a thought of his own all though his face wouldn't show it i some how can tell by his eyes i clear my throat and he comes back to reality * What about you tall dark and creepy. Mental face slap CREEPY of all the things i could say thats what i come up with great. his eyes suddenly change color or at least i thought they did maybe i hit my head when i fell as well. * Drake. his voice had a husky tone to it that made my inner thighs get worm * well Drake i need to go my grandma will be worried! thanks again. i step back waiting for him to release me and i see his fetures harden like a mask as he lets my hand go reluctantly. Even i felt a bit sad as i turnd to go. get a few steps away when i have the urge to turn back. * Hay.. Drake .. umm ... I'll see you maybe? oh my god do i not no how to talk or what just kill me please. i look tored him and see a puzzled look cross his face. * You will. was his only response when he suddenly turns and walks away.
