Chapter 9 - I’m a Scoundrel

Han Bing was also very handsome. His facial features were so exquisite that people could not take their eyes off him. However, he always had a sloppy smile on his face, which made him seem dubious.

Xu Wan had always been an obedient girl in the Qiao family. Han Bing's rascally demeanor only made Xu Wan want to stay away from him.

She would want to run away the moment she sees Han Bing, let alone like him.

"Hey, Little Meatball, why don't you like me? I'm not ugly, am I? You don't have to worry about your material needs if you come to my house, right? I've been good to you, haven't I? Why don't you consider me then?" Han Bing drove the car out and looked at Xu Wan from the corner of his eyes. His tone sounded a little like he was wronged.

"I'm not called Little Meatball." Xu Wan felt she could only reply to this sentence out of all his words.

"Oh." Han Bing looked at the road ahead lazily. "Little Meatball."

Xu Wan stayed silent.

When Xu Wan saw Han Bing for the first time, she was practicing her dance. She tied her hair into a bun, so Han Bing would always call her "Little Meatball, Little Meatball".

Xu Wan gave up discussing such a childish topic with Han Bing and pointed at the intersection ahead. "Turn right. My house is in the district behind the Jinyu Hotel… Forget it, stop at the intersection ahead."

Han Bing did not reply. When the car reached the intersection, he stepped on the accelerator and the Maybach flew past the intersection.

"… Didn't you say you would send me home?" said Xu Wan.

Han Bing turned his head to look at Xu Wan, who looked exceptionally cute because of her stunned expression. He smiled annoyingly, "Tsk tsk, you're such a gullible young lady. You are really too easy to deceive… Hey, hey, don't be angry. I'll take you somewhere and then send you home later at night."

"I'm not going." Xu Wan glared at Han Bing fiercely. "I want to go home!"

"I just opened a new bar. It's damn romantic. Miss Xu, would you visit it and give me some face?" Han Bing coaxed Xu Wan nicely.

"I don't drink. Neither do I want to go." Xu Wan's brows furrowed even more. There was already a hint of anger in her expression.

"Hey, why are you so stubborn?" As a young master himself, Han Bing had never been treated like this before. He instantly became anxious. "I've only been driving this car for two weeks and you're the first woman to sit in it. When I opened the bar, I didn't even invite my brothers. The first thing I thought of was to bring you over for a visit, and this is the attitude that you show me?"

Xu Wan said nothing.

"Hey!" Han Bing gently nudged Xu Wan.

Two teardrops fell from Xu Wan's eyes.

Han Bing was so scared he was dumbfounded. He hurriedly stopped the car by the roadside and frantically searched for tissues in the car. "Hey, hey, why are you crying? I didn't bully you… Alright, I went overboard. I'm sorry, alright? Don't cry…"

The more Han Bing coaxed her, the more Xu Wan cried. When Han Bing found a piece of tissue paper and was about to pass it to Xu Wan, Xu Wan had already opened the car door and ran out.

Han Bing hurriedly got out of the car and caught up with her. His tone was no longer arrogant as he held Xu Wan and he coaxed her softly, "Don't be angry, don't be angry. It's all my fault. Let's go back, okay? I'll send you home."

Xu Wan was sobbing heavily while she cursed indignantly, "All you bastards!"

"Yes, yes, yes, I'm a bastard…"

"All of you… have never cared about… other people's feelings. All of you… all of you are so selfish… I hate you people the most!"

"Yes, yes, yes, I'm selfish…"

"I don't care if you don't like me. Why are you doing this to me… Do I not even have some dignity?!"

"Yes, yes, yes, I don't like you… Wait no, I like you. Hey, who are you scolding!"

When Han Bing saw how Xu Wan cried till her face was like a kitten's, his heart instantly melted. He reached out to put his arm over Xu Wan's shoulders and let her lean on him. He said unnaturally, "About that… I'm not taking advantage of you now. I'm just letting you use my shoulder as a temporary cushion. I'm doing a noble deed… you should continue cursing that person if you want to. If you can't do it anymore, I'll continue to curse him for you…"

Xu Wan's emotional breakdown was instantaneous. After cursing for a while more, she realized that she had lost control.

She hurriedly pushed Han Bing away and said shyly, "I'm fine."

Han Bing sighed and looked at her in resignation. "Were you scolding Qiao Chen just now?"

Xu Wan looked up at Han Bing and wiped the tears off her face without saying a word.

"He has indeed gone overboard with you. How could there be such an annoying man?"

Han Bing's face was filled with indignation. After he finished cursing, he slowly approached Xu Wan and said seriously, "So, would you consider me?"

Xu Wan looked at Han Bing's dark eyes. A few seconds later, she abruptly spun around and started retching.

Han Bing was speechless.

Come on, was he really that disgusting? That was too hurtful!

Han Bing thought about how he was also a handsome young lad with a remarkable reputation in the Imperial Capital. Usually, women would flock to him, like how the planets revolve around the sun; others could not wait to please him. Since when did anybody even despise him so much?!
