Bai Ran looked at the gentle Yu Xuan, her eyes slightly blurry as if the person who had strangled her earlier was not her.
Yu Xuan got up to pour another cup of water.
"Here, you inhaled some anesthesia. Have some water to take a breather." Yu Xuan handed a cup to Bai Ran.
Bai Ran took the cup. There were a few lemons floating in it.
When she was overseas, Yu Xuan liked to put lemon slices in her water. She did not put anything else.
This was a habit she had maintained for many years.
The first time she saw Yu Xuan do this, Bai Ran even asked her curiously, "I know that lemon water nourishes the face, but when others drink lemon water, they either add sugar or honey. Only you don't add anything. Won't it be very sour?"
"No, I'm used to it. I like this light smell even more," Yu Xuan said calmly.
Bai Ran tasted it as well.
