The most terrifying skill about the rattlesnakes was their poisonous-gas attack as they were social creatures.
There was no way to avoid their poisonous gas. Even a 3-star beast wouldn't be able to survive as long as it inhaled a little of it. As 1-star beasts, they could defeat a 3-star beast! They attacked indiscriminately, which was the most dangerous part of the rattlesnakes.
However, unlike Amy and her team, Andrew, who laid on the boughs of the tree and calmly looked at the lizard in the distance, showed no panic at all.
He also noticed Amy's group. The girl in the lead looked familiar, but he had not recognized her until he saw the glowing white unicorn next to her.
She was Amy, the most popular girl in California High School.
Why was she out in the wild? After a few thoughts, Andrew understood what was going on. It must have something to do with the 4-star beast she had contracted named the Holy Unicorn.
Of course, Andrew didn't care too much about it.
As long as they didn't cause him any trouble, he wouldn't mind them doing anything.
On the other hand, the lizard's eyes flashed with a hint of disdain as it faced the poisonous-gas attack of the rattlesnakes. It just left its body surrounded by the gas without dodging at all.
This scene made Amy cover her mouth in surprise. "Why didn't it dodge?" Amy's eyes flashed with confusion. She didn't understand.
Was that beast a fool? Didn't it know the gas was poisonous?
"No." Old Andy suddenly said, which attracted the attention of others.
"Uncle Andy, what do you think is the reason?" Amy asked curiously.
Andy frowned as he said slowly, "You might not have noticed, but the beast didn't dodge because it did not care at all." With the enhanced vision benefited from his beast, Andy could clearly see the disdain on the lizard's face.
While he was puzzled, he found it hard to believe.
Why was that beast so arrogant that it didn't care about the poisonous gas that even a 3-star ferocious beast would fear?
"Didn't care? why? Could it have anything powerful to rely on?"
"It's likely that it doesn't know how powerful the gas is. I think it'll probably be poisoned soon!"
The other two members didn't have high hopes for the lizard.
Looking at the figure engulfed by the poisonous gas not far away, Amy suddenly had a premonition that the beast she had never seen before was likely not an ordinary creature.
For a moment, she was curious about its Beast Tamer, who was able to contract such an extraordinary beast. What kind of Beast Tamer could do it?
Just as they were in bewilderment, a furious roar came from the inside of the poisonous gas. Soon after, a series of biting sounds came.
In the next moment, they saw the rattlesnakes swing out of the gas, one after another.
It took half a minute before the sounds stopped. Then, a gust of wind blew over, dispersing the gas.
Everyone was shocked to see that lizard in black armor standing proudly in the middle of the rattlesnakes' corpses. It was surrounded by fleeing rattlesnakes, but there were more carcasses.
Amy and the others had been in shock ever since the beast had let out a furious roar. They stood rooted to the ground as if they had been struck by lightning.
After a long while, someone managed to react. "The ... rattlesnakes were killed by it ... "
Before he could finish speaking, he let out a rooster-like sound as if his throat had been pinched.
Because that ferocious beast had discovered him!
That was right, in their eyes, that big lizard wasn't a Beast. Instead, it was something even more menacing than a ferocious beast.
The lizard crushed a rattlesnake's bone, then it stared fixedly at Amy and the others with its sharp eyes.
"Whoo ... " The 1-star beast Wind Hound whimpered, lowered its head, and hid under Andy's leg, shivering.
Andy came back to his senses and was quite surprised. This ferocious beast was so aggressive that its glance made a 1-star beast lose its combat strength.
The high-star beasts had a level suppression effect on the low-star beasts. In fact, many of them could scare low-star beasts to pee with just a glance.
Clearly, this ferocious beast wasn't an ordinary one.
Andy took a deep breath. He stood up and waved his hands at the lizard. It was a gesture of friendliness in the wild.
After all, his group had sneaked up here, making the lizard inevitably wary of them. Besides, its mysterious beast tamer, who could be the most dangerous of all, had not shown up yet.
The others imitated the old man and waved their hands to show their friendliness, too.
Roar!
The lizard let out a low roar, not paying them any attention. Instead, it turned around and slowly approached Andrew.
At this moment, Andrew was already standing under the tree.
Amy and the others saw the beast that was quite fierce just now move closer to a blond young man, revealing a fawning smile like a human and wagging its tail. It looked like a pet waiting for praise from its owner.
Andy was shocked. He thought the mysterious tamer must be a matured adventurer. But he didn't expect the adventurer to be such a young man!
Amy also looked at Andrew curiously. She thought the mysterious tamer must be as old as Uncle Andy. Unexpectedly, it turned out that he didn't seem to be old.
This man caused her great curiosity.
"Uncle Andy, let's go say hello." Hearing Amy's suggestion, Andy thought for a while and nodded.
To be honest, if it was a mature stranger, he would not dare to approach him easily. After all, A man who could tame that kind of ferocious beast was likely to be temperamental and dangerous.
However, now that he is a teenager about Amy's age, Andy was no longer afraid. Instead, he could make friends with him.
Such a genius could very likely become a strong man in the future. It was definitely a win-win situation for him to offer benefits when that teenager was still young and weak.
As the group approached Andrew, everyone couldn't help but sigh.
He was indeed young. What a genius!
Amy also looked at Andrew, who looked as old as her and was good-looking, in a daze.
"Hi, buddy! I'm Andy Carnegie, the captain of the Wolf Wind Expedition Team. Are you a student? Where do you go to school?" Andy asked.
