The bat hanging upside down on the tree branch flapped its wings, swooping down. A yellowish black shadow emerged from the bat's body and formed a young girl wearing boy's clothes, Thomas gasped in surprise.
It is Alita.
Alita is the half-sister of Prince Andreas, she was born to a father who comes from the vampire race, so she inherited most of the vampire genes in her blood, her skin is pale white, her hair is black, and she is cut to resemble a male cut. Her lips are polished with red, light up. Her eyes were golden yellow, looking wistful like someone who wanted to sleep.
Alita is closer to her vampire aunt than she is to her human mother and brother, and their relationship has never been good.
Vampires have always been known for their cold and indifferent attitudes, like Alita. She doesn't like all things royal, can't bear to follow all manners of nobles, she doesn't like having many servants in his room, she doesn't like being served while she eats.
Alita likes quiet, cold, and dark castles, silent with piles of bookshelves accompanied by candlelight, or sitting and staring at the rain from behind the glass window.
Only one human is being close to her, Thomas. The man who was two years older than her saved her from a boring dinner party between the royal families, and since then, Alita has always tried to approach Thomas. However, the Thomas was too bright, he was always busy from sun up to sundown, and didn't have time to talk to Alita. The girl slowly gave up and returned to her cold castle.
Until one day, Alita heard about the death of Queen Dwizella, she was shocked and confused about what to do, wanted to come and cheer him up, but she did not dare.
Until other news emerged, Princess Tiersa was sent to a brothel too, Alita remained silent in her castle, closing her eyes and ears to what had happened because of her mother's actions.
Until Alita saw with her own eyes that Thomas was cursed by the White Wizard, the screams of pain she had never forgotten until now, she passed the nights full of guilt and fear. When Thomas disappeared, Alita felt relieved and worried.
For the last time in her life, she wanted to be with him. Alita looked for him all over the place until she came to one village after another, until at this place, her heart warmed, he met Thomas.
"You remember me!" Alita exclaimed cheerfully, her pale cheeks decorated with a pink tinge, she squatted down and hugged Thomas.
The dwarves around Thomas looked up questioningly, Thomas glanced at the sky. The harpies began to drift away from one by one in the other direction, he breathed a sigh of relief. It seems Alita doesn't still have a bad relationship with Andreas, he almost thought if Alita came to arrest her like Gail did yesterday, it would be terrible.
"Sorry, I ... I ... was too excited," Alita said nervously, she scratched her short hair, blushing. Thomas chuckled softly.
"You're looking for me?" Thomas asked softly. As he touched Alita's icy palm, the boy gasped softly, never used to the coldness of the girl's skin.
"Of course," Alita said, with her cheeks as red as a tomato. She glanced around awkwardly.
The dwarf in the blue hat shook Thomas's hand, his big eyes flickering playfully. "Miss Witch..."
"Oh, what's with Iris?" When Thomas asked kindly, Alita frowned, she didn't like it when Thomas' attention was distracted from her.
"He's looking for me?" Thomas pointed at himself, the dwarf nodded wordlessly, Thomas looked up at Alita.
"Come on," said Thomas as he took the vampire girl's hand, Alita followed him with a displeased face, she pursed her lips and her brows knit together.
When they arrived at Snow White's house, the princess was nowhere to be seen. Only Iris was sitting on the bed with Morgan, the werewolf was eating the apple that Snow White was peeling voraciously.
"Tommy!" Iris exclaimed as Thomas stepped in, the smile on her face suddenly fading when she saw the cold figure behind Thomas.
Iris looked at the short-haired girl whose appearance almost resembled that of a boy. She looked at her coldly, Iris felt the temperature of the room suddenly change drastically, she rubbed her arm.
"Who are you?!" Iris rose to her feet with wide eyes, Morgan dropped his plate on the floor, he immediately turned to Alita. Hatred immediately emanated from his body, his eyes narrowed.
Thomas spreads his arms to protect Alita, who is bigger than him, he just realized that werewolves and vampires never got along, they couldn't live side by side with each other.
"Don't worry, she's my sister," Thomas exclaimed in a panic, cold sweat running down his temples, he suddenly felt his chest thump in fear of Iris and Morgan's anger.
Morgan immediately sneered with bulging eyes. "Don't lie, just from her nose you can see that she's a vampire!"
Alita sniffed, her nose twitched, she put her hands on her hips and looked at Morgan haughtily.
Iris hastily sat back on the bed, she felt her body still weak and her head still dizzy.
"You just take a break," Morgan said sensibly, he turned to look at Thomas, demanding an explanation.
"She's a cousin," said Thomas doubtfully, his voice low and squeaky, like a child afraid of being scolded by his father. Then he looked up at Alita, who blushed back at him, then nodded. "She's fine."
"Hard to believe."
Morgan looked away and picked up the plate that fell at his feet, he took a deep breath. It seemed that Thomas' brain level had decreased, Morgan was worried that this vampire girl would boomerang on them, he couldn't believe it.
"I am Thomas's cousin. My name is Alita, from the vampire race." Alita opened her voice, she couldn't stand the glares of Morgan's eyes that were getting worse at her.
Morgan snorted. Clearly, he was not happy with Alita's existence. The two races never got along, and the introduction seemed to be confirmation that the vampire girl would join them. While Iris only smiled forcefully, she waved her hand.
"I'm Iris, he's Morgan."
"Hello ... nice to meet you," Alita replied awkwardly, she rarely communicated with other people directly, she was confused about what and how to answer, Alita became nervous and embarrassed.
Iris noticed Alita's shy behavior, her eyes narrowed. Just like Morgan, she wasn't too happy with Alita's presence, Iris just hoped that this vampire girl wouldn't bring them any trouble, Iris would watch her until she was sure that Alita was a good person like her, what Thomas said.
