Upon turning his head Rayleigh was on the ground eye to eye faced with a creature best described as a wolve.
A wolf with surprisingly nice pelt that was mainly silver with black scattered throughout that shined from the light.
This beast was honestly stunning, but admiring the wolf was something Rayleigh couldn't afford at that moment.
Rayleigh had two options.
One stay there and die without a fight.
Or...
He could use what little strength he had to put up a fight and maybe survive.
His hand balled into a fist, grasping on the crimson grass tightly he was ready to swing anytime.
His eyes wide, completely fixated on the wolf like creature in front of him he was determined to live.
He was scared but for this moment he had a sort of courage that only comes when faced with death.
Exhaling quietly, and then inhaling quickly he was ready for the fight. About to let out a yell to either scare off the wolf or just gain some courage in the moment.
However, he was stopped by a gentle voice calling out from beyond the bush the wolf had emerged.
"Sira, erehw era uoy"
A sentence that Rayleigh had no idea what to make of other than a rough prediction.
He was however to determine a few things. This was indeed a person, and it was a female at that.
The wolf upon hearing this turned its head around, shifting its gaze away from Rayleigh.
Curious as well, Rayleigh is once again fixated on the bush, but this time a bit higher into the bush based on the where the voice came from.
Rayleigh is given a newfound hope of survival that came from the gentle voice he heard from behind the bush.
Again, he hears the rustling through the bush.
Soon following a girl emerged through the bush.
She was probably shorter than Rayleigh by a few inches, but he wasn't sure from being on the ground. Her hair was long touching down to about her bellybutton and was light blonde in color. She had a soft face that had a sweet look that made Rayleigh blush upon seeing her. She was probably around Rayleigh's age if he had to guess.
"era uoy yako?" She says while looking down at Rayleigh with a look of concern.
Rayleigh seeing that the girl paid no mind to the wolf beside her and the wolf paid no mind to her was relieved.
Rayleigh was unable to understand exactly what she said, however he could see from her face she was worried.
Finally, letting out the tension from his muscles, Rayleigh plopped to the ground still looking up at the girl.
He took a deep breath and despite the language barrier said,
"I'll be okay, but I'm definitely thirsty if you could help me get some water from over there" Pointing over to the pond of water filled by the black flower and then pointing back to his mouth.
Not wanting to trouble this sweet looking girl with his situation more than he had to.
The girl's face for a moment looked like his mom's whenever he would do something that disappointed his mom or was crazy.
"Taht retaw si noisop, dloh no eno dnoces" she said this still gently but with that same motherly face his mom would make while lecturing him.
Rayleigh's was without any idea what the problem was, and was quick to show it on his face.
She reached into her bag grabbing out a round canister of water.
She steps closer, squatting to the ground, she extended out the canister to Rayleigh signaling for him to drink it.
"Thank you" Rayleigh said with a smile and tears running down his cheek.
Rolling over Rayleigh started to drink the water while looking up into the sky.
(Unaware of the fact, but the girl after being greeted by Rayleigh's thanks turned away and quickly blushed)
Drinking rapidly Rayleigh chokes on the water, starting to cough, wipes his face, then proceeding to drink the rest.
Feeling bad that he drank it all even though he was thirsty he awkwardly hands it back to the girl.
Rayleigh now thinking a bit clearer from the water had a question pop into his mind. How could she understand me, but I couldn't understand her?
He concluded he should ask and that maybe she will have a way of telling him.
"So how can you understand me, but I can't understand you" Rayleigh asked looking at her with her back still turned.
The girl composed herself, turning around and looking at him confused she reaches again into the bag on her waist.
This time she pulled out a small bracelet with a blue gem on the top of it.
A bracelet that Rayleigh now notices her wearing on her right hand.
She again leans down handing the bracelet to Rayleigh motioning for him to put on the bracelet.
Using both his hands he unclasps what seems to be a magnetic bracelet and fastens it around his wrist, now skeptical as to if she could understand him.
Looking up at her with a forced smile he lets out a "Thank you"
"You're welcome" she said smiling widely.
