"So those rumors?" Sylvia hesitantly asks, staring at her aunt.
She thought they were all just baseless gossip but it's shocking and unbelievable to know that is all true.
"I don't know how much truth you know but the king and I were lovers," her aunt confessed, keeping her face stern.
Sylvia felt it hard to comprehend this. Her aunt who condemns women's illicit affairs before marriage has done that by herself.
"How did that happen?"
Sylvia places her hand on her aunt's shoulders, "No, don't ask me that,"
"You have to share this with me," Sylvia urged.
Her aunt knows there's no other option left, she had to confess this to someone or else she can't die peacefully.
"Promise me that you should never utter a word about what I am about to say to Maximus or to the people you're working for," Mrs. Batista asked.
"I promise you," Sylvia assured.
