Theodore woke up in the morning feeling the bright sunshine on his face, for the first time in six months without Nina beside him. They were together for a short time, yet he couldn't remember a morning with her. She filled the biggest void in his life and now he couldn't think of a life without her in it.
He sat on his bed for some time enjoying the silence. It's been so long since he was alone like this and he doesn't like Nina's absence. He scratched his cheek and saw his legs, his nails were back to the human form. Relief spread across his heart and again fell on the soft mattress.
If he's still angry at Nina? No, absolutely not. Since last night he was upset thinking about what she'd done to him, but now that feeling isn't there in his mind. He misses her voice, her soft touch, and laying naked with her. He got frustrated thinking, why did I send her away? He knew his temper is his worst enemy.
