When Lila lost her child, in front of Sargon's eyes, for the first time, Sargon felt the pain of the person he hurt. He fell into extreme guilt and his eyes welled in tears for the loss of a child he never once held in his hand.
He'd seen blood for all his life, he'd murdered many people in cold blood but the sight of Lila crying in pain gripping her stomach while blood soaked her purple dress still haunts him whenever he remembers it. He stood there stunned and when Lila reached out her hand asking for his help, he came back to his senses. He asked the maids to take her to the physician but he didn't follow them. He stumbled beside the blood-soaked floor, too shocked by his actions. He'd hurt her so badly and there's no way he can redeem this sin he committed.
He knew she was pregnant at that time, just a few weeks before that incident she said it to him, he doesn't show that he was happy beyond this world which made Lila upset.
