Chapter 102 - Blow Up The Gate

Half a month later,

" Eldest Miss, let's retreat, for now, I don't think it's feasible to sneak into the city without being unnoticed."

From afar Tao Jin scanned the surrounding near the city gate which was heavily guarded by the soldiers and advised with a frown. He was really concerned.

He didn't know what was up with their Eldest miss and had no idea what he was planning to do.

And it's not like Jiang Ying Yue had given them any explanation and just did what she felt like doing.

She was just behaving as she behaved like in the past completely disregarding the consequences of her actions.

Couldn't she see things were no longer the same, her status was no longer the same as before?

Her current identity was no longer the same as before, she was no longer the daughter of a famed general...

The current identity she had now was of a daughter of a great sinner of the nation.

Shouldn't she realize the present reality and tone down her wilfulness?

The general had done so much just to ensure their safety yet she was parading around in such a high-profile manner instead staying low and bidding her time.

Tao was very dissatisfied with Jiang Ying Yue. He felt that their Eldest miss was good at everything, except for willfulness and unstable temperament.

But since he had promised the general to protect his daughter he could only follow her closely even though he had no right to interfere in her decision.

Yue Mei troop was now handed over to Jiang Ying Yue and she was the sole owner who could control them.

Although the troop only had a hundred soldiers in number its power was terrifying, after all the general had pooled so many resources in cultivating them.

Tao Jin was afraid that given their Eldest Miss' hot she would directly barge into the capital to kill that dog Emperor after finding out that he had schemed against her father.

Tao Jin was obviously not worried here for the dog Emperor. In fact, he would be immensely glad if their Eldest miss could manage to do that, he would even throw a banquet for a whole three months to celebrate his death.

However, it all came with the premise that Jiang Ying Yue would be able to do it.

Tao Jin was someone who was wise and experienced. He had followed Jiang Zemin through countless battles and accumulated much experience.

He knew how to judge a situation very well. Although, the Yue Mei troop had a terrifying strength it wasn't enough to barge into the capital unscathed.

And even if they succeeded in doing so, there was no way they would be able to leave the capital in one piece. There was absolutely no guarantee.

To Tao Jin, it was a grand suicide mission.

Tao Jin could die gladly to avenge their general but he would never allow any harm to fall on their general's daughters.

However, now Tao Jin couldn't help but sweat feeling that his premonition was true.

" Who said we are going to sneak in?" Jiang Ying Yue curled her lips faintly, her voice sounding casual and carefree as usual, one could even see her yawning lazily as if she was extremely bored while they stood behind the bushes watching the city gate from a distance.

" Not sneaking in, then how?" Although Tao Jin asked this he was actually praying inside repeatedly, praying for his premonition to not come true.

However, things that you don't want to happen would always end up happening in the end.

No matter how hard Tao Jin prayed his premonition at the end still came true.

" Of course, we'll barge in."

He saw Jiang Ying Yue towards the city gate right after saying this, followed by her sister, maids, Tian Lan, two little toddlers, two huge beasts, and of course the Yue Mei troop behind.

With her arms in front of her chest, Jiang Ying Yue squinted at the huge and heavy city gate fixedly, a visible sharp glint flashed across her beautiful eyes as she gave out a command in her melodious voice.

" Blow up the city gate."

' What?!'

Tao Jin who came from behind nearly slipped and passed out from the shock.

Wasn't directly announcing--Hello, we are here break into the city, come and catch us quickly!

Tao Jin's old heart trembled in fear and anxiety when thought about the consequence they would face after this.

" Eldest Miss, we--"

Tao Jin immediately went forward wanting to dissuade her before it was too late, however, before he could he saw the former turn around and speak something in a coded form.

" Are they here?" Jiang Ying Yue asked.

" Yes, they'll be here soon. It was said that they'll arrive here before noon." Tian Lan replied soon after that. Her gaze when she looked at Jiang Ying Yue was tinged with respect and adoration.

Tian Lan still remembered the shock she had gotten when she had first found out that Xiao Min's big brother was not a big brother but was a big sister.

At that time, the little girl had just gotten up from sleep not long after Jiang Ying Yue had suddenly left Lan Quan to find her mother.

When she found out that her eldest sister had left her behind once again Jiang Ying Mei couldn't control her emotions and cried pitifully with snot and tears all over until her voice had turned hoarse.

And it was at that time the little girl unintentionally revealed a few bits and pieces of their little secret. Instead of calling Jiang Ying Yue big brother like she always did, the girl was repeatedly addressing her as big sister.

No matter how stupid Tian Lan she couldn't help finding it weird when she heard it more. What's more when Tian Lan was actually quite smart?

Tian Lan instinctively couldn't help thinking more, then she suddenly remembered the night on the Beast Heaven mountain when Xiao You disappeared suddenly.

She seemed to have heard Xiao Min calling Xiao You big sister at that time as well. However, back then things were too chaotic so she didn't pay much attention and just took it as a slip of tongue.

But now that it happened again, how could Tian Lan not grow suspicious?

And it didn't take long for Tian Lan to realize that her suspicion was groundless.

However, regardless of all that her shock didn't end there.

The real shock she had gotten that had shaken her thoroughly to the core was when she finally found out that the boy she thought was a boy turned out to be a girl and was an idol.

This revelation completely upturned Tian Lan's world view and it took her three whole days and night to digest this news.

Of course, after she was done digesting her shock she swore to follow her idol to the end of the world.

Anyway, she couldn't go back to the Land Of No Bounds, everyone said that she was unsuited for that place.

Since that was the case why not just stay here and follow her idol, helping her run some errands?

Tian Lan felt that her days this way was already fulfilling.

Not long after Tian Lan's words fell a fierce-looking man with a cold aura led a large group of people and walked toward them.

In any way one looked, this newly arrived group of people didn't look ordinary.

" This...Eldest Miss?..." Tao Jin was shocked by those people's terrifying aura and couldn't help inquiring when he saw the two girls smiling at them.

" Shallow Snow mercenary, I hired them."Jiang Ying Yue's answer was curt, she didn't explain anything further.

However, only that was enough to shock Tao Jin and a few of his brothers who followed Jiang Ying Yue today.

Some let out a gasp while some were stunned and speechless. They all looked at Jiang Ying Yue with wide eyes and mouths in the shape of 'O'.

There was no other reason.

They were simply shocked by the fact that Jiang Ying Yue could hire someone from the Shallow Snow.

It was Shallow Snow...Shallow Snow they were talking about not just any mercenary group!

Shallow Snow was not just some simple mercenary group, they were a renowned mercenary group that held a status that was unsurpassable in their line of business.

Ever since their establishment, there was not a single task they failed they had undertaken. Their reputation spread far and wide and it was not just in their lower regions even people from the mainland were in awe of their existence.

One could just imagine how formidable they were and the extent of strength they held.

So it was not surprising when Tao Jin and his brothers heard Jiang Ying Yue had hired them to work for her.

The leader of the mercenary group came up to them and greeted them.

Compared to Tao Jin and others Jiang Ying Yue just nodded slightly and directed her gaze toward the city gate.

The leader understood what she wanted as they had been informed of the task beforehand.

Thus, the people from Shallow Snow and Yue Mei troops moved together to take down the city gate immediately.

The guards who were stationed around the city gate had already noticed it for some time. Looking at a large number of the crowd all donned in black the guards grew suspicious and immediately went to inform their superior.

As requested by Jiang Ying Yue beforehand the people from Shallow Snow and Yue Mei troops all garbed themselves in black clothing looking like a big team.

As they paraded over to the city bearing a menacing aura--it was a magnificent sight.

The people who were coming and going out of the capital, passing through the city all halted in the paces and watched them with awe, and those who were a bit more sensitive immediately felt that something was wrong--Something big was about to happen.

They immediately looked for places to find shelter and watch the drama unfold from a safe distance.

It was fine to watch but they didn't want to get involved in it.

The soldiers who were guarding the city gate also undoubtedly had the same guess.

After all, such a large group of people all dressed in black surrounding the city gate out of nowhere indeed looked very suspicious.

Soon the soldier who had run back to relay this urgent matter brought back his superior in a rush.

The officer in charge of the city gate had gone for his lunch since it was nearing noon in one of the famous restaurants of the capital. He was happily eating and drinking and had no idea of the trouble brewing outside the city gate and it wasn't until one of his subordinates rushed over did he know of the happening.

The officer couldn't care less about eating lunch anymore and rushed over to the city gate at the fastest speed possible.

" Who are you, people? What purpose do we have here?!" The officer asked in an authoritative tone. Although he was also a bit scared by the menacing aura radiating from this group he tried his best his fluster, " This is the city gate, it's not a place for you to loiter. Leave the city gate at this instance if you don't want to bear the consequences!"

The officer gave out the warning in his stern voice as he gestured to the archers above the city gate to prepare their bows.

His meaning was obvious. If these people didn't listen to his warning and leave then he could only resort to hard methods.

However, despite knowing well of his intention the people didn't leave and stood before the city gate unmoving as if waiting for someone's instructions.

There was a strange silence in the air and the surrounding was tense. Until.....

" Blow up the gate."
