Since the last item of today's auction was auctioned off everyone prepared to leave.
Just as they were about to get up from their seats, the auctioneer who was also about to get off the stage halted mid-way.
From their seats, the people could see that one of the staff members of the auction house had rushed over at the last minute to inform something urgent.
The enchanting lady nodded repeatedly to the man's words and returned him an assuring smile before swaggering back to the center of the stage.
With an impeccable smile that was capable enough to ensnare one's soul, the lady successfully attracted the restless audience before addressing, " As we are approaching the end of this auction I'd like to express my deepest gratitude towards all our esteemed guests present today on behalf of our auction hall. We are very grateful to our customers for taking out their precious time and attending today's auction. With the last item auctioned off here, today's auction had successfully come to end. So, congratulations to all our lucky customers who managed to win the bids and get their hands on desired treasures."
The lady paused making it appear as if it was the end of her speech and the audience also stood up to leave.
However, soon the lady who stood still at the center unmoving started again mysteriously, " As for those who didn't manage to their hand on anything--here's your chance."
The crowd that was leaving halted in their way and all turned simultaneously to look at the stage.
Under the doubtful gazes of the audience, the beauty smiled ravishingly and continued, " Yes, another chance. To express our gratitude towards our loyal customers, the Lan Quan auction house has decided to break its age-old rule and make an exception today. So, besides the items on the auction list, the auction house decided to add a few more rare items to our auction today."
Jiang Ying Yue arched her brow in interest, this lady was quite good at this!
As expected the audience looked quite excited and touched. They were very pleased by the performance of the auction hall.
The crowd that was about to leave rushed back to take their seats and awaited impatiently while gearing up.
Not long after the crowd took their seats, a few staff members of the auction hall carried a few wooden boxes with their lids shut and placed them on the stage.
Those who were too curious craned their necks left and right trying to get a glimpse of the items in the boxes. It was a fruitless attempt yet their curiosity didn't give them a chance to think more.
A total of three boxes were presented at once. Since the time was limited the auction house decided to make it short. Before this, the person at the registration desk had graded the cores and placed them in two different boxes.
Soon, the lid of the first box was lifted in front of the audience revealing the content inside.
This wooden box was the biggest of the three.
As soon as the lid was lifted the glittering beast cores shone like gems nearly blinding them.
The box contained fifty or so Medium Grade grade cores.
One had to know that Low grades cores belonged to low-tire beasts who ranked between Martial Red to Martial Yellow whereas Medium grade cores came from the beast who had cultivation between Martial Yellow Initial to Martial Blue Advance. Likewise, high-tire beasts were more evolved and highest cultivation among these three groups. They naturally had high cultivation of above Martial Blue.
Furthermore, a beast's strength was always different from a man's strength. Even though the beasts followed the same cultivation trend as the man their strength far surpassed men's.
Those beasts were born and brought up in wild, trained through countless bloody battles of life and death, they were brutal by nature and naturally different from some cultivators who opted to raise their cultivation through spirit pills than going through real work and working on their foundation. No matter, how high their cultivation was their base was hollow.
So, it was no wonder in a battle between a man and a beast of equal cultivation a man who resorted to artificial means would be beaten badly.
Just imagine competing against an entity that had learned to use its fangs and claws soon after they were born while you were still sucking on milk. And when it accompanied its parent's brutal battles, you hadn't even started crawling.
Look, just a mere comparison could show the wide ridge separating them.
To put it plainly, beasts and humans belonged to completely different leagues when it came to brutal strength. There's no way a human could defeat a full-grown with ease in a battle unless they were equally tenacious and brutal.
That was why Beast Tamers were so rare in their continent. There were very few people, very rare geniuses who took this path.
Thus in no way, it was an easy feat for one to acquire so many cores at once, let alone sell them to an auction hall to be auctioned off.
Was it a lunatic or was it a prodigious hero?....
While they guessed to get ready to plunge into the oncoming battle. Everyone acted like they were injected with chicken blood, their eyes blazing.
Then, soon bidding started.
Since Jiang Ying Yue had the idea of the value of these cores the initial bidding price and bid increment remained undecided, therefore, the audience was allowed to bid freely in gold.
" 5000 gold coins!"
" 7000 gold going!"
"15000 gold coins!"
"....."
Jiang Ying Yue and her crew watched from the sidelines and didn't join in the fun.
Looking at bids that kept rising at an alarming rate Jiang Ying Yue grew curious, " Baby Dumpling ?..."
Abhram, who was whistling and humming a tube, busy doing his own thing heard his master's call and a tinge of despondency flashed past his innocent eyes.
Baby...Dumpling....this name was something that always managed to stab him hard when he was most unprepared. Waaa....all his good mood was ruined just like that!
Abhram wanted to lie on the ground and throw a huge tantrum when the little one seemed to have suddenly thought of something his gloomy cloud hanging about him disappeared without a trace.
A gave an exaggerated evil-looking smirk that didn't match his little face and looked smug.
Jiang Ying Yue, who was outside didn't pay him that much attention and was busy looking for her 'google assistant'.
Although this 'google assistant' was not all-knowing or omnipotent, it still proved to be useful sometimes.
Abhram, the 'google assistant': " Yes, Master."
" List out the uses of beasts' cores."
From what she knew beast cores were usually used as pets' food. Those, who were influential enough to own a few majestic spirit beasts would buy beast cores to feed them. It was nourishing and it was also a way of stealing another beast's cultivation.
Even in the wild, when the beasts fought they would consume their prey's spiritual cores to progress in their cultivation.
Other than this Jiang Ying Yue had no idea what they were used for.
" In weapon craft, in Inscriptions, formations, in space ring making, in alchemy, and sometimes even in cultivation...hmm, these are the only ones I knew." He didn't know if, during these thousands of years, they had innovated something else. Hmm...it didn't seem like it, these people were too lazy just like his master had said.
Jiang Ying Yue said nothing after that, focusing on watching the show.
This time she was going to hit the jackpot.
After she returned capital she could start her own business and focus on expanding her influence. Only growing physical strength wasn't enough. She was planning to build her personal force, that no entity on this continent could rival. And for this she needed money. Only this way she could protect her family. She didn't know whether the so-called divine system was speaking the truth or blabbering the nonsense. However, since she was given a chance she decided to accept it.
Other than that, she also had her own selfish motives for expanding her influence--it was to look for common vegetables and fruits that seemed to have gone extinct from this continent--She really couldn't continue without having a proper meal, sigh!....
By the time Jiang Ying Yue snapped out of her thoughts, both the boxes with beast cores had already been sold for 37,000 gold coins and 80,000 gold coins respectively.
Hmm....this money should be enough to buy a few shops in good locations.
Now it was the turn of the box that contained ointment.
For this one, the auctioneer lady didn't say anything and just gave the audience a mysterious glance.
With a clap, a tray carrying a small dagger was presented before the lady on the stage.
Facing the skeptical and puzzled gazes of the masses the lady didn't fluster and continued gracefully, " As everyone can see this is a Grade-2 spiritual weapon."
The lady drew the dagger out of its sheath. Although it looked small, it glinted coldly showing its amazing lethality.
From its aura and sheen alone the people who were standing below the stage could tell it was authentic at a glance.
Was this item for the auction?....
If it was...then they should get it for their wives and daughters at home.
A fervor arose in the hall with the appearance of the spiritual weapon, however, before it could reach its peak it was doused with a bucket of ice-cold water.
Seeing the fresh red blood flowing from the wrist of the auctioneer the crowd was shocked.
What's going on?!....
They looked at the stage and then back at each other not quite understanding the situation.
It was not only the audience seated below who were shocked but the people seating in the VIP boxes were equally shocked as well.
Was...was this a hardcore marketing tactic?!....this was just...just...
Even after a long while Jiang Ying Yue was unable to find an appropriate word.
Jiang Ying Yue felt that she had to give it to the lady for her professionalism. It was an extremely bold move, however, it was also very necessary for this auction's success.
Otherwise, who'd be willing to buy some strange ointment which didn't even come with any grade or name?
This demonstration was inevitable!
However, she didn't expect the lady to take such drastic action, was she not scared of leaving a scar behind on her fair wrist?
" All the guests here can see the wound on my wrist is bleeding profusely." The lady spoke, still with a smile while showing everyone her bleeding wrist, " Everyone knows that an injury caused by the spiritual weapon is very difficult to handle. Once your skin is broken by them the bleeding won't stop easily, it will take a long time to heal and over time the wound will even fester, leaving behind a hideous scar."
Many people in the audience subconsciously touched the places where the scars were left behind because of such injuries.
Even though, they were willing to bear its ugliness the pain from it back then was unbearable.
" Here," The lady pointed at the bottle, " This miracle ointment here is the solution for all this."
With that, she took the bottle and uncorked it, trying to take out some ointment from it. When the slightly liquid ointment slid down from the bottle onto her fingertips a cool and comforting sensation spread all over her palm.
Without further ado, the lady spread the ointment above her wound the next second. And it took only a beat for the wound to stop bleeding and started scabbing.
This caused the audience to create another uproar.
They needed it...no, they must have it!
A handsome middle-aged man who had been sitting in the VIP box adjacent to Jiang Ying Yue's felt a rush of excitement. He tried to suppress it hard but got betrayed by his trembling hands.
