Drew was already annoyed from how much effort it took to get through the workday and how they had to rush out of the office earlier than he normally left to beat Mila home but his day only got worse from there. Being treated like a cat felt wrong!
At least Leo leaned against her shoulder instead of trying to get into her lap to sleep because he might have died of mortification. That was a normal human thing to do, though he had never once done it himself.
He couldn't lean on anyone, physically or metaphorically. That was how it had always been. A few past girlfriends used to use his shoulders as pillows but he had never done it to anyone else.
It was incredibly degrading but, at the same time, he couldn't deny it was sort of nice…in a strange way. But that didn't make up for the fact that he loathed how excitable this cat was in his body.
