Hailey didn't understand. Hellhounds weren't like normal monsters. They didn't arbitrarily kill anyone. All they did was collect souls that had been sold to demons at the end of contracts. They only lived in hell.
Normally, they weren't even visible to the human eye. You could only see them if you were the person who had been marked for death or wore special glasses some monster hunters had developed. So why was this one? What made it different?
Not only was it visible, it was wearing a very girly pink collar with a floral bow on it. It wagged its tail, clearly enjoying its walk.
She would have thought it was just a gigantic black dog if not for the monster energy pouring from it and the fact that its eyes were bloodred. Because it truly was gigantic. While walking, it came up to the guy's chest.
