Chapter 233 - Ian's Story

Zeldris was quite pleased with the seating arrangements and found himself savoring Ava's warmth. Demons were used to the cold and the dark and typically the only time they touched others was in the middle of a fight.

This was different than what he was used to but it was nice. He was disappointed when it was time for dinner even though it meant he got food. 

He ate with gusto like usual but felt like something was missing. He already wanted to go back to the way they were on the couch. How could he convey that without sounding desperate though? 

Ava didn't know how much Zeldris liked having her around and it needed to stay that way. He was her guard, albeit reluctantly until he actually got to know her. 

She trusted him because of the blood bond but not as much as she seemed to trust the elf. Demon prejudice followed him wherever he went. To be fair, he had gone a little overboard on their first meeting. He regretted that now.
