Erevan didn't understand why this bothered Molly so much but he knew he needed to say something to make her feel better. He didn't want to say it didn't matter because it obviously did to her. That wouldn't be helpful.
Beauty was a foreign concept to demons since things were what they were but it held some degree of importance in the human world. The technical definition out here was a combination of qualities that were aesthetically pleasing. Again, demons didn't have a concept of aesthetics, but Molly was far more pleasing to interact with than any creature he had ever met.
"You have a beautiful heart," he told her. "Theirs are hideous."
Molly laughed, which hadn't been the reaction he had been going for. It meant she wasn't taking him seriously.
