Chapter 106 - I'm On My Own

Ace didn't want to be rude but who on earth named a snake Buttercup? What about a snake screamed 'flowers' to this guy?! Even if it was a girl, that was far too cutesy a name for an animal like that.

All he said was "aha" and let it go. They all headed back out to the living room where the old owner thanked Rosetta once again for taking care of his baby and somewhat tearily asked her to send him pictures now and then.

"Of course I will! She's such a beautiful girl; I bet she's really photogenic!" Rosetta said cheerfully.

"She is. See you tomorrow, Rosetta."

"See you!"

Once her coworker was gone, Drew looked at her curiously. "When is he moving again?"

"This weekend. Friday is his last day at work. He just wanted to get the snake tank out of the way while he finishes packing. Poor thing. He's had Buttercup for more than ten years but can't bring an exotic animal overseas without paying a ridiculous amount of money," she clucked sympathetically.
