"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Ace asked, snapping Cora out of her thoughts. They were now standing outside near her car and her apartment was on the second floor so she wasn't sure she could get up there on her own so easily.
She was going to have to get used to it though. No one else would be around to help her get in and out and there weren't any elevators here.
But if she fell immediately after hurting herself, that wouldn't be good either. She was going to have to swallow what little remained of her pride and ask for help. She wasn't used to this after being on her own for so long.
"…do you mind walking behind me in case I fall?" she asked humbly. "I have a lot of stairs ahead of me."
Ace nodded. "No problem."
