"I love you, Freya" Ethan said while look at Freya lovingly.
She still didn't come to her sense, this is feel like dream. No.. more like illusions.
She snapped out and say "Are you crazy?"
"Yeah, I was crazy because of you"
"I was crazy because you decided to engaged with other men."
"I was crazy that all this while I was blind." Ethan say continously..
"So, will you marry me, Freya?"
She didn't know how to answered it. She loved him, but her engagement has been decided. She sighed and say "Ethan, it's too late. My engagement with Theo has been decided and you know that too. I can't suddenly cancel my engagement because he's Crown Prince."
"I just need your answer, Freya. If you want to marry me, I can settle that issue. You don't have to worry about it, It's not a big deal."
"What will you do, Ethan?" Freya asked because she's curious. How can engagement with Crown Prince easily canceled?! she thought..
"Don't worry, it's something between man. Well, whatever your answer is, you're still going to marry me. So, be prepared." thus he walks away..
'Sh*t! what are he going to do?' well, deep down she feel happy, because all this she chase after him crazily, but he still gave her cold shoulder. Then she went to inside banquet again.
It's been 3 days since that night, but she still didn't see him since then.
'did he change his mind?' she thought, then suddenly her maid came, she's shocked but quickly adjust her face and said "what it is?"
The maid said "you have letter from Lord Seria, My Lady."
"My father?" she mumbled.
The maid didn't hear it and gave her the letter. The contect pretty much just asking her condition in North and so on. There's another news, her engagement has been canceled. But it didn't say the reason. She sighed.
'I can't believe it, the engagement canceled easily. Is it the power of North Duke?' She said to herself.
She think whatever possible reason, but still didn't have one. So, she decided to have a word with Ethan. She called maid and ask about their Duke, then set off to study.
*knock knock* "My Lady, what's bring you here?" The butler asked. She smiled and say "I want to ask Ethan for have a tea with me, is it possible?"
The butler smiled and replied "Of course, come inside. The duke will be happy seeing you here, My lady." she smiled and gave her thanks, and the butler went off to set the tea.
"Are you busy, Ethan?" Freya said
He look up, and saw her bright face "No, are you need something?"
"Am I just come to you when I need something?"
"Are you not?" he smirked
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, Ethan. Will you have a tea with me?"
"Of course, wait a little bit. Let me finish this one."
"Alright." she said while looking at Ethan. There's someone say Man looks so handsome when he's working and that's true she thought. He looks so handsome, because of sunlight, his hair looks shiny. His eyes as red as ruby, his nose's sharp, he's much beautiful to the point she's embarrassed as being a woman.
"are you done looking? watch your saliva." he joke to her.
"what saliva? you're so narcissistic." she blushed.
The butler come in with tea and dessert, then leave the room.
"So, what do you want to ask me?" Ethan said to Freya.
Whatever it is, she didn't know why. But she always feels like he's know through her. She didn't want to beat around the bush either, so she replied "It's about my engagement."
He furrowed his eyebrow and said "Didn't it has been settled? what's wrong?"
"It is, but I still didn't get it."
"Are you regret it, you couldn't become Crown Princess?" he smirked
"No, you know I don't give a damn about status."
"Then that's settled. What are you worrying? you just have to prepared yourself to our wedding."
"Wedding? isn't we have to engaged first before wedding?" speechless, she didn't think this man would skip the tradition, didn't he?
"No, there's no engagement."
"Are you kidding me? didn't you know that's empire tradition to have engaged first before wedding? what would emperor say if he hear this?!"
"That's empire tradition, not my North, isn't it? and emperor has allowed it too. Don't worry."
She speechless, didn't know how to say.
She didn't know when she leave the room, but she still couldn't believe it.
This man is too absurd! Should she follow his words? but the emperor has allowed it. So, what can she do? She sighed again.
